I'm a bit surprised that the brazilian version was almost catching with the japanese, but now has a release window closer to the english one. Our publisher decided to restart everything from the beginning with a 3-in-1 format, only now going back with the original tankabon-based distribution. I wonder why it took 2 new volumes to be released for us to get the 103 volume...probably a mix of lack of manpower and dealing with Shueisha.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!
About Usagi's stand: from what I've understood, he grants what he thinks someone else wants by mimicking an object (and altering it's functions).

RE: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!
I tried to read Jojolion 2~3 times but ended up bored by it. I've skipped it entirely, in the end. Jojolands, on the other hand, managed to capture my attention with the first chapter. I'm hooked.
Dragona (seems to be Dragon related, not Drag) has such potential. Her stand being named after one of my favorite Sade song just made it all better. I'm thinking of her as being non-binary for the time being.
Jodio seems to be a bit of a sociopath, which is the recipe for a good Dio-based character.
I'm a bit confused by the character that appears at the end of chapter 02 though. If I'm not wrong, the only character from other universes that appeared in SBR was Dio, right? And Valentine had to pull him up from another dimension to make it possible. So does that means that there's another way to travel between domains? Or this dimension version of this character is just very alike the one from the past universe? I'm not sure of the implications of it, lol.

RE: Non-Disney animation thread
I was really glad for him, but I enjoyed Puss in Buts waaaaaay more than his Pinocchio.
I was also glad that they broke the "Let's just give it to the Disney-Pixar conglomerate" tradition for once. Good shit.

RE: Chainsaw-man
banger chapter
these sky-doors made me think of hell. maybe the floating people are being delivery directly to the death devil - my guess. therefore, that's why she's a chef? she's feeding the death devil...?
the whole "your traumas are the metric to your punishment" reminds me of Osiris and his feather.
-
RE: Disney animation thread
welp, at leas the OST seems to be in good hands. I think they'll deliver with it.

RE: Chapter 1077: Should Have Noticed Sooner
someone on Reddit pointed out that when the Seraphim use Green Blood's power their fire vanishes. We have 2 pairs fighting them, so 1 of each will serve as bait and the second one will go into attack mode.
Minor detail, but there's a continuity error in S-Snake drawings. When Franky piles her under the kairoseki bubble she changes her pupils from star-shaped to regular-shaped ones. Maybe in Vol 107 this is going to be corrected.

RE: Disney animation thread
They couldn't even bother to try and change the colors of Ursula's spell! The texture makes it resemble something out of an animation. Like, when you stick that close to the original with no aspect being capable of surpassing it, why would I go for that experience at all...?

RE: Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss
(Loan) Sharks, uh?
Chaz blazing an auto-tuned like jazz was kinda too good for him.
The country balad (?) was plenty good too, but the animation was so off the charts that I could barely focus on that. The musou sequence at the end was fantastic, already eager for more!

RE: Movies that don't deserve their own thread
Like someone tweeted, it's a "oh, we are going into economic Recession" type of comedy. I'm kinda glad it's back! they are fun to watch on a lazy sunday.

RE: The Super Mario Bros. Movie
The website was updated and is referencing a lot of Nintendo stuff (I caught Kid Icarus' music and old "water is so beautiful" meme, but there's probably more).

RE: Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
don't give up, togashiiii! let's go!

RE: Chainsaw-man
how stupid must you be to treat a Famine Devil some food? The victim is to blame, unfortunatelly.
Nostradamos being cannon in the CSM is kinda funny. Which year is current year in the manga? 1998?
Wednesday Addams is supposed to be Death, right? The Giant Woman remindes me of Asa's friend from the beginning of part II.

RE: Witch Hat Atelier
oooh the quiet guy going rampage is always fun to watch

RE: Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion
the GBA era pixelart is just too good for a promotional video! loved it to bits! really awesome effort from the PR team.
it's nice to have something Egghead related when the cover failed to do so. The colored version of it will pop.
It seems that every Yonko has a different patent within thir group: Captain, Chief, Admiral and Chairmain/President.

some more content about being Death's Knight in the next one, maybe

SBS leaks by...tomorrow? I always never remember when those come out.

RE: PPPPPP
OMG that's quite a memorable ending. One uping Will Smith.
I hope she changes magazines going forward...I believe she would do better in a monthly or more artsy publication, although that would lower my chances of putting her new works under my radar.

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
This was good to see. The Bane speech in full effect, lol.
-
RE: The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins
I wasn't expecting the chilling I got after the last page
I hope DEADLY SINS does not become more literal
-
RE: Sakamoto Days
oooooooh I love me some old days stories. Quite balanced chemistry and effortless interactions, I'm on board.
-
RE: Black Clover
This set of powers and iconography seems specially uninspired of is it just me? Now I understand better why Oda avoid using a lot of ninpo and samurai techniques during Wano
-
RE: Chapter 1076: Old Friends
- Robin looking so good in the colorspread is always a treat.
- I wonder if the poneglyph research is about translation or more about the losing 4th stone. Maybe Oda will spice things up with a hint of the last lost red ponelgyph by the end of the arc.
- Ok when Oda drops 100 navy ships I can only think of a huge demonstration of power by the hero side - either Vegatechnology upgrades, the StrawHat Fleet showing up (Dressrosa's end alludes to something historical, right?), Zeus cooking up a storm, idk!
- I hope that Oda mirrors what he did with Law Vs BB so that we get to see what the Red Hair Pirates can do, and move on the next dramatic point. Law had a good run, but I'm a-ok with him fumbling the top positions and ending up as a silver medalist (or even change his goal and focus on the D plot). Kid had a...run. An ok-ish one, if any, and I can even see him surviving the clash with RHP and th Giant Pirates, but definitively loosing a spot at the front of the race and falling down to the mid-seats. I'm hella cool with Oda putting Shanks, Teach, Luffy and Buggy as the front runners for the One Piece treasure - that's what I'm getting with this week's chapters and the 105 cover structure.
- Watching the Giants again was a huge nostalgia slap. I'm really curious how Oda is gonna settle their honor based struggle without feeling souless, since I myself can't think of anything better than some postponement.

What's "Piece of Dream" again? Are those the illustrations made out of fan requests for OP Magazine?

RE: Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion
Man, Blackbeard's color scheme are completely different from the one used in Pirate Warriors 4. I'm not surprised by that, I'm low key shocked I find both horrendous.
-
RE: Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion
Ugh, the only coloring I care in this cover is Teach's. Well, next one shall bring all Vegapunks in their glory or extremely weird color schemes.

RE: Marvel Movies Thread - Holy Shitballs
I've only seen Brie's interviews with the cast of Scott Pilgrim and everyone seems quite confortable. Zaltrax complains about her seems to be headcanon at best, and quite similat to what you could find in any chan. Ms Marvel movie is as mediocre as most Marvel movies from said phase are, I don't think they are particularly worse. Anyhow, my 2 underdeveloped cents.

RE: Disney animation thread
Inside Out 2 is supposed to come next year as well, right?

RE: One Piece Live-Adaptation Drama Announced
Luffy having Flapjacks' shoes caught me off guard, lol
Sanji and Zoro are BUFFY as f*ck. I thought they were going the classic twink -> twunk route with them, so it'll be interesting to see what else they'll throw to show development after the time skip (if we ever get there).
Going Merry is kinda funny - it works as a silly ship if that's the angle. Trying to convey THAT goat crying over Usopp x Luffy's fight is gonna be soooo hard. lol. I'm excited for more news, but I honestly ain't expecting much from it.

RE: The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins
At first I thought there was something in their beverage...but it seems to be a lot more going on. Both the father and the sister were swapped this time.

RE: Witch Watch by Kenta Shinohara
It was such a nice surprise, Roman was one of my favourite secondary chararcters. Always fun to watch her do her things,
-
RE: Dandadan
oooh, nice personal drama to contrast the End of World As We Know It theme. Nice juggling.
-
RE: Akane-banashi
I think she is trying to play the Oiran through the male storyteller perspective. Like a man trying to simulate a sexy woman lol
-
RE: Vinland Saga
Volume 16 of the original br version, Pariston! I Just skimmed the wiki and the current chapter title stream lead me to believe that it's on their final leap! Cool, I'll wait for disclosure before picking it up again.
-
RE: Vinland Saga
Is it close to an end? I stopped at volume 16, I'd like to go back once it's over...
-
RE: Disney animation thread
As a dratini enjoyer, i'm fine with him (her?)

RE: My Hero Academia II - A true Hero
the chapter looked GOOD! I liked how it was left to the reader to get the emotional bit about Nagant without parading it. Nice.
-
RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
If I'm not wrong, chapters 1051 and 1057 have plenty of scribbly-art. Just skim through it and it's easy to understand what they mean...
-
RE: Chainsaw-man
guys, I totally forgot about Nayuta! It's probably this!
-
RE: Chainsaw-man
Why was Denji so nervous? Is there something I'm forgetting about where he lives? Is it post-Makima trauma response? Fun chapter, anyway.
-
RE: "One Piece Color Walk 10: Dragon" will be on sale 4th April 2023
It should cover from vol 92 to 104, right? Most of Wano (hence Dragon?)
-
RE: Witch Watch by Kenta Shinohara
"even if he wanted, he wouldn't physically be able to" that's harsh to read, and it's saddening to know that they are breaking their bodies to bring weekly fun to us, ouch.
I wonder if monthly or bi-monthly mangaka are in such a bad deal as well...

RE: "One Piece Odyssey" trademark registered by Shueisha and Bandai Namco
Oooof, I was expecting some WCI announcement together with the launch. Welp, it's sure a strange timming with no Yonko on board of an OP Game, lol.
