@danie I could see Oda giving him some development over it. Sabo certainly has a (justifiable) grudge against CD, and learning to have such a strong moral compass from Dragon could give him room for some struggling that I'd like to see on screen.

I though Momo attack on Kaido (even though it was only a bite) kinda did what Greg was talking about. Although I do agree that it lacks anything dramatic. It seems Oda didn't want to give Momo a great scene yet...? We didn't get anything particularly impressive against Kaido (the most memorable scene being he stating that he truly IS a Kazuki), when handling Onigashima or Zunesha and against Aramaki (c'mon now Boro Blast lost impact through repetitive use).

Just re-read the arc this weekend and oh boy the pace is FAST. Like, omg there's so many things happening at once that my head is spinning is there a chart kind of fast.

I think we are done with the Revs too, so Garp and Kuzan seem to be the only lingering piece before we go back to the hella heat that Egghead is promissing to be.

I think one of the things that will tell right on where the production is going is the "filter" they are using for the show. Like, will it make colors pop? Is it going for a more earth-y tone? or blue-y, since it takes places at the sea...? Will it have the same yellow tone that american shows use for latin and middle east countries...? It'll tell a lot about the artistic vision, which is 50% the reason why I'll watch it. The other is to see what they'll tweak to better streamline the show - Zoro fighting the BW recruiter? Sengoku on Roger's execution? Buggy, Shanks, Doffy, Moria, Mihawk in Logue Town?

Yeah, no. Why can't the experiences of the LGBT+ population be an asset to an movie? I think this "it must NOT be a thing" is not that good of a philosophy guidance as people seem to believe it is. well, if you are navigating this world and you happens to not be a part of the norm, your sexuality will very much BE a thing. you'll probably have a phase where you make it a major point of being you. In the movies, you need to balance that niche experinece with points that connects to the experience of being human. So, I fully believe moviemakers have the talent to export that to a movie and make it seems relatable even to the ones who did not had that experience. And if they don't get the whole ordeal, that's what the little details and chatting after the movie are for, anyway...

Me too! I really like how the twist was delivered (even though when you start to think a bit about it makes a bit less sense) and Galadriel fighting for her sanity was such a nice thing to see too. I want more of that next season!

I low key enjoyed the trailer. It gave us so so little but it reminded me of A Series of Unfortunate Events - the best adaptation Netflix made that I know off - so it got to my good side a bit. That's absolutely not the best thing, cuz each show should feel like it's own thing looks at Sandman but you can feel the people in production seems to put a lot of effort in it. I'll check it out for sure, at least the first 3-4 episodes.

The actors seemed a bit sitff, but it can be a trailer situation. Tons of yellow filter which are not what I'd like to see, but here is to hoping that the green and blue start to POP once we get the whole thing.

The production part seems to be mostly on point, now we have yet to see if the actors can deliver. The worst thing on screen were the wigs, for gods sake Zoro's hair looks like plastic, Nami's just cheap and Sanji's needs to hydrate. The Buggy shot was definetively scary-ish, but the horror-to-comedy line is quite a quick thing to cross and I hope the actor can get there. I was not a fan of Luffy's lines because they reminded me of Marvel's worst quips, but that can be fixed by the next line thrown in so I'll wait for the whole thing to judge. Manga-Luffy would be distracted by something or just show something he saw and find interesting, but LA-Luffy can't to that a lot so it will be insteresting to see what they'll do about it. Up to now, not a hater.

I can't figure it out who is fighting Zoro in the trailer, people are pointing out the BW agent that tried to recruit him which would be a funny gap to explore. The sea beast effects look very very nice, but Shanks wig seems to be goddam awful which is a shame (again). Koby looks albino, lol. Alvida's actress is kinda cute and young, ain't she supposed to be middle-aged?

Since the game seems to be using Strong World material, I happened to remember that initially said movie would be completelly different - so I checked the wikia and "At first the movie was called “The Crystal Ship’s Log" and it was going to be an emotional story with a big chunk devoted to memories."

Maybe this game will reharsh that content? I can't shake the feeling that the glyphs are going in the dream-memories-illusion direction. And, well, an emotional story is a good fit for an JRPG since forever

We were all too used to Oda's tendency to overpopulate covers in Wano that we assumed the worst. IMO, the choice for this cover is perfect and really sells the Adventure side of OP. We are due to a Kuma's FB and origin story (all Shichibukai had one up to now), so Bonney will probably appears when that happens.

I think it's kind safe to say that Wano's fatigue reached Oda and that chapter 1000 disrailed the whole narrative in a way even Oda could'nt hope to repair. I'm kinda sad that we had to skip a visit to Ryuma's grave and to catch up what happened to everybody post-battle (Kaido, Big Mom, Hawkins, Drake), but it won't hurt the story that much to move forward so I'm letting it slip. I can only hope for some SBS-providing answers, really.

I'd set for a slightly larger edition that's still black and white but keeps the colorspreads, well, colored. In a nicer paper as well. If I'm not mistaken there was a Romance Dawn special edition that was the same size as the raw material provided by Oda...I don't really know how big it is, but something like this maybe...?

I just can't see triple suicide as a solution, and it's ultimately not fair to Rei as a character as well, but Dabi has already been defeated and brought back only to go to the deep end...which begs some kind of climatic resolution. Endeavor's sacrifice is the low hanguing fruit, but Rei being in the picture seems to imply that they are going to reconect from the ashes of their sun's trauma. Overall a bad taste in the mouth, right?

And OOMPH nothing says Ending Series like one of the three emotional hearts of it being dealt with. Now "All Might's sucession" and "Deku x Bakugou" is all we have in the emotional core list.
