RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
It gives you a certain sense of invincibility at the cost of rupees being drained away each second anda bunch taken off each time your damaged without taking anything off your heart meter. However if you run ou of money while still wearing the armour you'll die or be vunerable to attacks since you can't move.

RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 290
Those specials are not part of the numbering system like so many people believe, we'll get 291 this saturday and 292 the following saturday.
-
RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
One thing that you should keep in mind is that link always throws the goron to the left. So, try to position him right. Strike it in the gut 4 times, hold A, and let him fall in.
The back slice gets past those guys defense when they're armor-less.
With that said, I got this game for Christmas. Awesome stuff.
I didn't get a chance to do this to them because they were working in synch, as I attack one of them one of the other 2 attack me and so on and so forth.

RE: Biggest "oh my god" Moment? *spoliers…duh*
Blackbeard's revelation of his Logia Devil's Fruit of Darkness.
-
RE: Chapter 440 "Fire Fist vs. Blackbeard" Discussion
Is there no chapter 441 this week?
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 289
Oh god we can't have it either way can we? I mean with all the impatient gits when the episode isn't out within 2 days of release or the guys that go overboard with gratitude when it is, and I mean the types that say "Oh I wish Wickio would have my baby!" crap.
-
RE: ADC Heaven
Look, stop being impatient, it's not like there hasn't already been a fansub version of 290 that should fulfill your fix, the team have lives outside of subbing, for example Rhombus has had his Finals the week before Christmas, then of course they needed "family time" over that period, so… just stop it.

RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I had no trouble with Arrows or Bombs running out (60 max bombs for 2 bomb bags both full, full 100 quiver arrows) a full wallet with 1000 ruppees for use with the Magic Armour. But when I came to the 3 darknuts on the 40-something level I used bomb arrows to remove the armour from the ledge above but only managed to make things more difficult as I had 2 without armour and 1 with full armour still, so I couldn't get enough time to kill 1 at a time. At that time I wasted bombs and arrows trying to kill the non armoured guys but they kept evading so i ran out.

RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Progress so far: Storming Hyrule Castle.
Also I kind of dissagree with the difficulty part in Aldrich's review, there is at least one place that you will more than likely get a Game Over, and that's the Cave of Ordeals, or at least the last 10 levels, and more specifically the room with 3 Dark Nuts in.
-
RE: Chapter 440 "Fire Fist vs. Blackbeard" Discussion
Yeah that does sound about right. My, if that chapter hadn't of been one of many awesome quality chapters recently it would have blown my mind for the lack of preparation of sudden suprises Oda has given away in the last 10 chapters.

RE: Why are bosses always so fucking stupid?
If you're looking for a difficult smart boss in Zelda then look no further than Shadow Link in Ocarina's Water temple, sure he wasn't the main boss in that temple but he certainly should have been because of his tendancy to not fall for the same trick twice even if you were hitting him with the Goron Hammer, which by the way is the main surefire way to kill him.
If he stops you from using that then you're dead, unless you can afford to waste all your magic and magic reserves on using Din's Fire, which he may also block after a few hits. Sword fighting him can only be done at the beginning of the fight and you'll be lucky to only get a couple hits in, and arrows and bombs are automatically blocked from the start too.

RE: Chapter 439 "Third One and Seventh One" Discussion
Well I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but on page 10 the closeup of Tashigi with her glasses on, she looks awfully like Robin in that shot.
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
That sounds like a lot of fun, and gives us a chance to brush up on our swordplay.

RE: 291 a special episode?
@tqm_z:
I'M PRETTY SURE…
According to preview, I already watch that episode, I think I download it at K-F website… under TV special or maybe somwhere.to be exact as mentioned title (Luffy Oyabun) : http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7061
There were 2 specials with this story format that were shown at last years christmas/new years period and that is what KF have available for download. This year we'll be getting 2 new ones.
Also these eps are NOT eps 291 and 292, as the specials/omakes never use the main show's numbering system.
-
RE: Stargate Trinity?
Daniel Jackson is my favourite character and Teal'c my 2nd favourite. Other than this 3rd show we'll be getting 2 movies, 1 that will finish off the Orii storyline that the series 10 finale leaves slightly open apparently, and the 2nd movie will be a one off and from what i heard it'll be about Time travel. These movies will be straight to DVD films so no cinema trips and 6 month waits for the dvd's after.
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
Yes to the first and we have no clue yet about the second, but Nintendo are looking into the legal technicalities for games such as Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie and the like that we all adored on the N64.
-
RE: 291 a special episode?
They don't usually place the end of year specials in their normal numbering system so it must be a mistake, either that or they are being shown after the main ep 291.
-
Stargate Trinity?
The news of a Third series of Stargate being developed is now a reality, so all you Stargate fans rejoice in the fact that despite losing SG-1 you'll be getting another Spin-Off to run alongside Atlantis in 2008 or so if Atlantis gets to a 6th series.
This is the main link to the news from Gateworld.net: http://www.gateworld.net/news/2006/12/exclusive_third_istargatei_serie.shtml
P.S. The name in the thread does not in any way mean the name of the new show. Thought i'd make that clear before any wild stupid rumors popped up.

RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
You just haven't got to them yet if you're at the last spirit, you can start the Poe hunting one soon, or if you haven't so far the Golden Bug sidequest. There's always a bit of fishing but that isn't a sidequest it's just a time consuming hobby.

RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 289
The animation seemed a bit offed because the animation team from Movie 6 worked on it, it was pretty good during the Franky Fukurou fight but when it came to that brief scene with Luffy running it just seemed a mess, Luffy almost never has that kind of theethy determination on his face, he only did that during movie 6 I believe and I didn't like it then too, it just doesn't look right.
-
RE: OFFICIAL RAW Discussion
I actually didn't like the Movie 6 animation style, that and the fact the whole movie was bizarre anyway. But I did like this episode, but Luffy looked a bit strange during the running scene, they used the same weird teeth bared expression that they did during movie 6 and that is not something Luffy usually does.

RE: The Nintendo Thread
@EvilGamerX:
I hit the goal…..
I didn't know because I don't play any of the Super Monkey Ball games.
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
What was that you hit once you fell down?
Connected to WiiConnect24 last night and got some updates, registerred a few friends and registerred some points too, so I downloaded Golden Axe and Legend of Zelda.
-
RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
This is why I favour the split timeline thoery that was in the Zelda retrospective as it allows for both Wind Waker and Twighlight Princess to be in 2 different timelines, one after Link defeated Ganondorf and 1 after Link went back in time and left the separate future to it's own devices and thus supporting the fact the hero dissappeared in the story of Wind Waker.
-
RE: Religion Thread
I'm an Atheist, but only in the sense I don't worship any god or gods even if there may be a being that has ascended to that level of existence. Also if they are higher beings then why would they be interested in us and only us humans, there is life on other planets somewhere in the universe so why aren't they centre of attention for these "Gods"?
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 289
Out of all the Strawhats the smartest must be Robin, then i'd say Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Usopp, Luffy, Zoro.
I know all of the main fighters can create new attacks but that isn't as smart as being a Doctor, Cook, Navigator or an Archeologist. Usopp is smarter than Luffy and Zoro because he can create new tools/weapons in order to use new attacks, and obviously he is the most cautious SH because of his fear of mostly anything dangerous.
-
RE: Chapter 438 "Pride" Discussion
@Fire Fist:
All right, Usopp, you apologized. Good first step. Now redeem yourself and blow up Garp's ship.
Btw, Garp just registered a 40 on the Badass meter.
So, how good is 40 in relation to other cool characters like Aokiji, Lucchi and Dragon then?
-
RE: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
I'm only at the start of the 3rd dungeon. Also I've only recently encountered Poes and boy are they annoying, how can you defeat them in Link form without transforming into a Wolf? Seeing as I can't do it yet I have to run from those guys every time I meet them.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 288
I really liked the atmosphere that the music created when Luffy used Gear 3 to blast open that thick steel door. awesome.
-
RE: Official wii code list
Wii Nickname AJCC (I think), Wii Code: 0149 4281 3336 7684
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
For a multi-player adventure game? I'd seriously hope not.
Actually, I seem to be one of the few that enjoyed FF:CC (despite it's shortcomings). I'm sort of now hoping they'll release a better sequel as well as more "traditional" one (mixed in with some nice Wii mechanics, naturally).
I also quite liked FF:CC as I had a great buddy that I could play it with, so we had a good time.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 288
Thanks btw, nice job as usual…
I don't mean to be a spoilsport but your signature text is a spoiler, please cover it or remove it.
Awesome ep and great work as usual guys.

RE: [Saber]_One_Piece_-_287_[F8BB3641].avi
Another good sub and episode, but ADC managed to release their version last night. Though I know you aren't really competing with them it's just some first hand experience of subbing that may eventually pay off.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 287
From here on in we'll only be sticking with 1 fight until the end which will stop all the complaints (if any) about the fights being drawn out, it happened in the manga too so STFU.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 287
Great stuff, now all that's left is the remaining Omakes and yesterday's ep.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 286
Well that's how it will be if they try going chapter by chapter for each episode, although the manga is much further gone than before it is still a bit too close to start rushing ahead again.
-
RE: Chapter 436 "Pants from Franky★House" Discussion
I think there is a major conflict of terms about whether Franky invented the "Solar Dry Dock System" (AP Translation) or the "Soldier Dry Dock System" (the guys over at OP Manga V.2). Which is it?
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 286
This is one awesome episode, thank's as usual Wic-ki-oh!
-
RE: Berserk
Yes the manga artist does tend to take a somewhat relaxed position with his job and tends to go on holiday for weeks or months on end.
-
RE: Post how your day was
Went to college for 7 hours, came home 2 hours ago, finally fixed the wireless internet connections that's been faulty since forever! The main reason it stopped working was that Microsoft' damn SP2 reset some of it's Firewall settings and meant I couldn't access the internet while my network was active. Finally got some tips today at college and I have at last fixed it!!! I think my day has ended on a fairly high note.
-
RE: [Promfret]One Piece 285.avi
I watched it and thought it was pretty good, but I will still get the ADC ep for my DVD collection, which I may or may not see depends on how I feel.
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
Well I certainly hope my Action Replay freeloader works because I have 2 imported Gamecube RPG's that I'm more that likely to want to play again sometime in the future, especially Tales of Symphonia, seeing as i've only just bought and finished Bation Kaitos: Origins.

RE: Pluton Question
Yeah who know's what else he's hiding in his tin can body of his?
-
RE: The Nintendo Thread
Hmm, 22 days for the UK and Europe lanuch, woo! I know i'm gonna get one coz I work at one of the places that sell them over here. I've already got the console and 2 games (Wii play wth extra controller and TP) but I might decide to buy extra accessories instead of getting an extra game.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 283
I suppose you're right, plus it does remind us of Gol D Roger's ill fated words.
-
RE: [ADC-Elites] One Piece 283
I well made recap of the last arc of Water 7, also they only used 1 or 2 scenes at best from pre-WS/HD eps so why did they even bother putting in Opening 1 in the first place?

RE: The Nintendo Thread
" Following a discussion in which Sakurai commented that many Wii games seem to be tailored around the Wii controller, Famitsu asked if Smash Bros. Brawl won't be using the controller's special functionality at all. "At the very least, you won't be using it during normal play," responded Sakurai."
