Ok, Exdeath looks cool, but the whole character-type argument is moot since other genres share those types too!! (FF1 for example). And come on, sure you can win with Ganondorf but his moves compare and matchup very badly to other characters, like Meta-Knight. Just cos you can kick ass with him don't mean he can kick ass!! Maybe you're just Chuck Norris or sumthin.

Whoever told you that is likely ignorant. Why? I'll tell ya; that's what we call a tank character. Common in fighters. Ganondorf, Astaroth, Dracula, Chang, etc. Speedy characters don't murde rthem if you know what the hell you're doing. Actually, this makes me happy to hear; the slow moving heavy-hitters are my forte. Having ExDeath play in that style just makes me happy as a god damn peach!

Also, I hear he specialises in counter attacks and defensive moves. Thank god I'm good with Geese Howard in KoF. I'm well-accustomed to characters with a heavy emphasis on counter attacks. Again; I'm happy.

If this game is online (which I'm pretty sure it is, but I could be wrong), expect me to rape with the evil tree.

Oh, haven't seen the episode yet but it sounds like they had to censor some things about it obviously: according to comments, Nemu doesn't shrivel up as Szayel emerges (which takes away the whole impact of the "rebirth" moment) and they only imply that Mayuri stabs his hand during the "superman drug" speech.

Slam Dunk. An excellent series marred by quite possibly the most anti-climactic way to end a story. I read somewhere that Exdeath is like the shittiest character in the game cos he's the slowest in both movement and attack speed and that quick characters like Tidus and Onion Knight would murder him.

Oh, and that Jecht and Kefka are top tier among the villains. That's poetic justice right there.

I don't get what's confusing about the fights, do you guys not understand the whole dying will flame thing to be honest I've enjoyed this arc a little I to begin with was already getting bored with Gokudera just throwing dynamite.. I mean true t6hey added a few too many boxes for him but I like it. Yamamoto just has a stronger sword and a swallow who makes rain so he can always fight like he did against squallo. Ryohei just heals faster (if you just ignore the kangaroo he's pretty much the same). Hibari's got hedgehogs that can get a tad bit annoying, and chrome hasn't changed a bit. Although I don't like the whole changing bel's main weapon into a box weapon just a tad bit dumb but the electric umbrella guy (Levi A Than) needed something because he was a tad bit boring (actually his fighting style is quite dumb). and squallo's shark better not be used to much but that's about that…. But if they touch XanxusI will not be happy. I do admit Gokudera's fight with Gamma was a little confusing but when I reread the abilities of each flame and figured out he just mixed storm flame with one of the other four dying will flame rings he had with him it gets easier, Mainly you just have to know the flames properties.

Dude it isn't the stupid box explanations and shit that is confusing about the fights. It's that it's hard to follow. When crappy flame effects cover 90% of the panel and you can't even tell which character is which anymore because of them being crappily drawn yah it can get pretty damn frustrating to follow the fights. Plus all these boxes are pretty crap anyways since their use is pretty inconsistent, like this is how they fight in the future but Tsuna doesn't even use one??

Yup, that upcoming Mayuri thing was definately the best part of these three way too long fights. Mayuri is actually one of the few non-comedic characters in Bleach I really, really like, along with Kenpachi, who proved is badassery when fighting Tousen.

Mayuri is pretty funny though. Like yah he isn't all about the comedy but I'm pretty sure people find him a lot more funny than the majority of the characters in Bleach. Like raping your daughter to revive her that is classic dude!

Fujiko Fujio is one of the most influential and important mangaka (well, a duo of mangaka really) in the history of the medium, and not knowing them is clearly a sign of ignorance. They're as important as Tezuka or Toriyama really (hell, more important than Toriyama) and have entertained entire generations of readers with their work. So why do you assume nobody here knows them only because you don't? I dont get it.

The editor-in-chief is like the best character. First, he spouts some random bullshit that only Mashiro would understand and I don't know that was pretty funny to me! And in the last chapter he was like was it good? bring him here without clearing up anything and haha the character is amusing. And so is this series.

Reborn sucks now guys. The stupid twist about Irie is like the final nail in the coffin for me. I don't know why the author keeps on insisting that he/she fill the screen with lame effects that make the fight "unfollowable" (was that a real word?). That this arc has gone on this long just shows how the author has no idea where the hell he/she is going with this story. Reborn got too popular for its own good!!

What happened to the manga? Allon aside it has regressed to a point where its not even stupid fun anymore, just stupid shit, and it's sad because all this crap came after what was probably the best arc in Bleach so what happened?? Matchups that don't make sense (hitsugaya versus the big boob espada, soi fon and the 2-hit KO versus a single fuckin fraccion while matsumoto gets 4), lame fights and really, it sucks now. Some would say it always has but yah maybe they have a point. Allon is really carrying the manga somewhat right now with awesome moment after awesome moment, but yeah shit glittered in gold is still shit and I can't believe I couldn't think of something funnier than that, man I suck.

Also, about the suicide thing I think it's pretty stupid to blame other people for a suicide, you know? I just realized how it long it's probably gonna take to release the English version of this. I mean, DQV and DQVI haven't even been localized yet, and those are the ones that are confirmed to come to the US. So the earliest would seem to be Fall 2009, but wasn't DQ8 released in the US a year after it was in Japan? So waiting till 2010 for a DS game is a loooooong time especially since the DS was released in 2004 so how outdated is it gonna look then? By 2010 we can expect announcements for the next-gen!

Maaaaan I really wish I could read Japanese! This game looks way too good with its customization features and omg are they actually surrounding that monster in the trailer? Paying attention to details like that show how much work they put into this, so it's probably gonna be the best DS RPG eveeeeeer and we're gonna get it like a year after the system is outdated. That sucks.

Final Fantasy 4 DS and Far Cry 2. People say FF4 is memorable for the story and it's memorable alright for being shit. Gameplay is solid and I love the map that shows the areas you've explored already, but really people what so good bout the story??? The plot is cliche and the narrative is so stupid, like for example when you first fight Golbez you basically leave him inside the crystal room with the crystal while you like reminisce about old times with a fuckin' 8 year old. Like why would they just leave him there, christ.

Far Cry 2 is really good though! The worst thing about it is the very stupid AI but generally AI in SP games suck anyway, so I didn't mind that much and it was pretty funny how the AI would just repeatedly ram a tree. How is that not GOTY people??

Wahahahaha what the hell? It's awesome that we get a DQ on the Wii but the DQ series has a reputation for "simmering in the pot" as they say. There was like a 6 year difference between the release dates of DQ7 and DQ8 (I have no idea if it's really 6 years though but you get the idea) so I wonder when the hell this would be released. Hell, DQ9 is coming out in 2009, like 5 years after DQ8 in Japan, so come on! Wish it was for the next generation so we won't notice how outdated it will by the time it comes out in like 2013.

Definitely The Dark Knight, especially since there have been some rumblings that Heath Ledger's performance there is Oscar-worthy. It would be totally awesome if he wins the Oscar posthumously, for a comic book movie. In fact, if he does hypothetically win, it would probably be the first Oscar win in the major awards for a comic book movie ever.

Aside from that, looking forward to the Wolverine movie if only for Deadpool, I like the look of The Spirit, Sin City retread though it might seem, Watchmen, of course, now looking forward to Iron Man 2(Go Mandarin!), the Avengers movie if they manage to get Downey Jr., and since I consider Dragonball a comic book, that one too. You may think I'm crazy, but after Speed Racer, I am now confident that Hollywood could successfully adapt an anime, retaining it's Japanese-ness while having American sensibilities injected in.

This was released a while back, and more people need to know about it. Basically it's a roguelike, and if you don't know what that is, then it's like Diablo only turnbased and when you die, well, you really do die. Level goes back to 1 and you lose all the items you were carrying. That should tell you that this game is hard, which is already perfect for the people who complain Kingdom Hearts could be won by pressing the X button repeatedly.

If you're scared about difficult games, however, don't fret. It may be hard, but this game is designed to be replayed over and over anyway. Don't think it will be too repetitive, though. Dungeons are random like in Diablo, and deadly monsters that can legitimately kill you populate it in different corners. Items are random as well. New adventures trigger side quests that make the quest easier, like party members and a jar that can combine weapons to create uberweapons that have different qualities. Experience points in this game can be quite literal, and by that I mean as you grow in experience playing the game you can avoid stupid mistakes that lead to death and better prepare against the really scary monsters.

If you're interested, go buy the game already. If not, read this.

Damn, Eyeshield 21 is the best SJ manga currently. I mean, beautiful art, perfectly executed comedy and drama, awesome characters, and it's like this all the time. No down periods, even between the matches. I'm lovin' it!

Too many people are concerned about Superman being uber-strong and broken and shit, like a crossover game between MK and DC needs to follow canon. Come on! Superman having his ass whooped by Sub-Zero is about as silly as martial artist Ryu beating the prince of hell Blackheart and Thanos. Oh wait, that happened already. In MvC2.

I've been looking forward to this game since way back when it was first announced for Japan. Of all the Square-Enix games I thought this one had the least chance of getting localized, what with its very close ties to modern Japanese culture and all, so it's an awesome surprise to see this game in English. Unlike most people I like Nomura's designs, and when I first saw this game I was overcome with its stylishness. Its great that it's getting good reviews too!

I didn't care much for Gin before, but the way he was introduced in this chapter was so awesome he may have just become my favorite villain.

I like how this series blends lighthearted fare and seriousness well. The characters are really likable, especially Kiri, and the way it deals with mature themes are very well done. The FMA comparison earlier was spot on.

This and Sket Dance are really the best new series in WSJ, though Sket Dance has been around for far longer. That reminds me, go read Sket Dance!

I haven't finished the game yet, but something is already bugging me. Apparently, this game takes place exactly 7 years after AA3. From what I've heard, only Gumshoe makes a cameo appearance. What exactly happened to Phoenix's friends? Is it ever explained in the game?

Finally started playing this game, and I'm speechless regarding the first case. Wow, I can't help compare it to the 'dead girlfriend Larry' case, and, wow, what a difference. This game definitely started with a bang.

I can already note two things: one, Phoenix's "Objection!" voice doesn't fit his new look at all. Why does Apollo have a deeper voice?? The other thing I've noted is that Trucy is infinitely better than Maya. Finally, a bearable and fun sidekick. Sorry, Maya, I only cared about you when you were about to die. Trucy is still naive, but she doesn't feel like an idiot and more like "playing the fool." Oh, and it may be too early, but I'm not liking Young Gavin much.

And YAY the return of Ema Skye! The other good sidekick! Nice to see she hasn't lost her youthful enthusiasm towards science! And I love how she has a "touchy" mood now!
