Yep. Also, listen to the language Gan Fall uses. "I am quite fond of the juice made from your pumpkins." Like Generic Soda pointed out, he isn't just randomly talking about pumpkin juice, he's talking about enjoying their pumpkin juice.

Just a quick question though: why do y'all use the translation 'Sunny-Go' instead of just 'Sunny'? I remember reading that 'go' is a suffix in the name that means that its a ship, but I don't remember ever seeing any translations that called Merry the 'Merry-Go". However, it seems that ever since Sunny has been introduced a lot of translators have called it the Sunny-Go. Is there a specific reason for that, or is it just a personal preference and thats just what y'all wanted to use?

I just watched 298 and it has the episode title translated, and with a font that matches the Japanese lettering. So…... what are you talking about now?

While I think its awsome that you guys are releasing HD subs, please reconsider releasing a .avi version as well if it doesn't take any extra time from you.

Not because of problems with sync (I have no problems with either version), but with an .avi file i can stream the video through my xbox 360 and watch it on my HDtv instead of on a tiny 21" computer screen. Seems like a waste to have to watch such high quality videos on a small computer screen when better options are available.

I'm the same way actually, with wanting to stream the episodes to my 360 so I can watch them on my TV. You'll probably have to just do what I did, which was download the HD raw and the subtitle file that Vegapunk has on their site, and add the subtitles to the avi file on your own.

Also if you do end up doing that, while you're in the VirtualDubMod before you save the file, you'll have to go to Video-->Framerate, click the bullet next to "convert to fps", and change the fps to 23.976. After that just save the file and the new avi you created should have the subtitles. I think it took me an hour and a half to do that, I don't know how long it might take anyone else. Anyway, this worked for me at least.

Great job guys. This was my first time seeing an episode of OP in HD and it was fantastic, so I'm looking forward to watching all the new OP episodes in HD released by Vegapunk.

I could see why people would think Paulie would join… At first. For one, he had a very unique design and fighting stlye. Two, he was Sanji's polar opposite and a gambler. But then, once Franky was shown, I have no idea how people could think Paulie would join over him. ESPECIALLY at Enies Lobby. Did people seriously think Franky would say "Well, I just helped you save Robin, bye!"?

Exactly how I felt about the new crew member thing. At first I was pretty sure it was going to be Paulie and didn't even consider Franky. Paulie had the gambling thing, and he had that moment in the mansion where he seemed to connect with Luffy, so I thought for sure he would join. But then they actually started to flesh out who Franky was and show us his history, how he fights, his strengths and weaknesses, and how he has a connection with both Usopp and Robin. Pretty much after Franky had his flashback I think it should've become obvious he would be the person to join. And besides it just being obvious that Franky would be the one to join, he seemed to be the most appropriate. He has fantastic skills as a shipwright, a dream that fits in with the goals of the Strawhats, good fighting sills, and a personality that fits with the rest of the crew really well.

I guess if it wasn't going to be Franky, it could've been Paulie, but he became a background character so fast it would just feel wrong.

Guh? I thought it was pretty obvious that WB was referring to Roger giving him that wound. Seeing Shanks reminded WB of Roger since Shanks was on Roger's crew, and since he was reminded of Roger his wound ached because Roger gave him the wound.

I'm really glad that Kaku started using his swords again in this chapter. When the Zoro & Kaku fight began, I felt like this would be the first time that Zoro was gonna have a fight with another really good swordsman (excluding Mihawk of course), but then as soon as Kaku started using his DF powers he stopped using his swords, so it was nice to see him use those again in the end.

I thought it was a really nice chapter overall, but I would really like to see an explanation of the move Zoro used at the end. I understand that it was just a projection of his spirit, but it'd be nice to see a more in depth explanation.

Maybe there are some canals that go through the Red Line to the other side of the Grand Line (like the Panama Canal) that the World Government controls.

Its nice to see Luffy using his DF ability in a new way. It reminds me of what Crocodile said way back, when he (basically) said you can't just be content in having a DF power, you need to be able to master it. Hopefully we'll see something really great come from this.

Oh God Luffy, I want to have sex with you so badly. Its always great to see Luffy do something… uber.

Can't wait for a translation, very interested in seeing what Paulie is thinking on pg. 6.

Yea, when I posted this I thought about the fact that we've seen him cut so much stuff that seems like its steel, so I had assumed that Oda never felt it was necessary to say, "Hey by the way, he's been cutting steel! Ooooooh, spiffy."

The only reason I really even thought about this was because at the end of the last chapter when they actually said, "We're gonna leave the steel fence to you" and that made me wonder about it. Thanks for the info everyone!

I couldn't remember any specific instances of it being mentioned, but then it could just be that since Zoro's done it once they just don't mention it every time he cuts steel.

So, has Zoro cut through steel since the Arabasta arc, or has it never been mentioned?
