I believe it could be MS as well, because even though Law said he's going to kill Luffy like 5 times already I don't think Law doesn't consider Luffy his friend.
But do you think luffy will really ask law to join his crew? That's what MS's translation implied
Did anyone notice how during the Cabbage scene where he tries to cut off Laws head the first time, and luffy grabs him luffy says in the MP translation "he's my friend" and law says "no I'm not", but in the MS translation, Luffy says "he's gonna join my Nakama" and law says "like hell I will"? Does anyone know which translation is right? Because for obvious reasons, my gut is telling me to go with MP on this one…
Well I'm kinda late, and I don't post a lot but that was an EPIC chapter!
With that being said, I must ask this question: Is anybody else not sure how they feel about Sabo eating the fruit? I've browsed the thread a little and seen either people love it or hate it, but I'm in-between. I like Sabo's character and all, but at the end of the day, I truly feel like he should have deferred to Luffy's judgement when it comes to the Mera Mera no Mi.
I see it like this: why should Sabo be able to get Ace's fruit when he pretty much left Ace for dead? Yes, I know that he probably had some not-yet-told circumstances and a reason why he didn't show up, but still. Luffy got blasted around the world by Kuma, got damn near killed in Impel Down, and still made it to Marineford, when for all we know, Sabo was sitting on his ass sipping tea, watching Ace die on a Den-Den mushi, knowing full well that if it were him on the execution stand, Luffy and Ace wouldn't have hesitated to save his ass. For everything that Luffy did for Ace, it should have been his decision, not Sabo's. Until I get a reason from Sabo (Oda) of why he didn't help, I will feel uncomfortable with the fact that he didn't defer to Luffy, who could have given it (rightfully) to one of his crew (now or future) members.
Anybody else feel the same?
With all that said, boy does Sabo look like a bad ass son of a bitch with that Fire Fist!
Excellent chapter. Kyros' flashback was sad as hell. It was epic when he cut off his leg. He just keeps earning more respect from me.
I'm late as hell lol but I liked the chapter. Still can't get myself to forgive usopp for last week, but seeing him attack trebol out of the blue was nice. I'm liking Kyros' character more and more. Kinda looks like Rob Lucci to me, except a lil more buff. At this point, I'd say that he has a fair chance of being a part of the crew, up there with violet and Rebecca. Wonder who is gonna join. Sucks that there's a break next week. I'm not fond of flashbacks in this situation, since so much is happening, but I'm actually really interested in Kyros' history..
I think that jinbe is a lock to join, the only question is when. I think it's realistic that he could end up joining at the end of this arc due to the appearance of big mom, luffy might have to beat her and doffy by the end of this. I think that either violet or Rebecca will join as a result of luffy curbstomping doffy's face in. But after that, I'm not sure anyone else would join. I think the only other person that could have a chance to join is marco (I really hope this happens) but that's only after luffy trashes teach.
@Miss:
Akainu is one of the most morally rigid characters we have ever seen. He follows a strict code of law and ethics almost obsessively so. He killed a man himself for trying to desert. How can you confuse an _abundance_ of morals for lack of it?
Because killing your own subordinate is considered a moral act. Or killing a boatload of innocent citizens for that matter. The only difference between BB and akainu is their affiliation.
Are you seriously saying that Aikainu, THE number one pirate hater would join Blackbeard's crew. The man hates pirates of any kind, and he has an unwavering absolute justice which supersedes morals in his decision making. Yet somehow you think he could join our even associate with Blackbeard.
Not saying that at all. If akainu wasn't affiliated with the navy, then he would be a perfect fit in the BB crew.
Aokiji isn't a villain though, like akainu is, that's what I'm saying. He doesn't fit the precedent of that crew. If he were to join a crew it would be a crew that is similar in composition to Luffy's (like shanks crew). With the type of person he is, I can't see him under BB. He actually has morals. Nether BB nor akainu have morals (which is why aokiji had a problem with akainu being fleet admiral in the first place).
