Looks wonderful so far! Though I've been on the edge of my seat since you said you guys were going to start up Part IV, since I was in the middle of rereading it and decided to put it off until I had a better version. Even with the crappy translations we've got I dare say Part IV is probably my favorite part.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Yeah, for now that'll still be up just in case something else goes wrong. So either one will work.

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
AnonIB is back up (http://www.anonib.com/jojoproject/index.php?b=1), temporary site will probably stay up just for back-up in case anything funky happens again.
And we're up to Volume 5, Chapter 6 now. (http://www.anonib.com/jojoproject/index.php?b=3)

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Not yet, two more chapters of volume 4 to go. As long as I get the translations sometime tomorrow, those could very well be out tomorrow as well.

RE: The PlayStation Thread
I've honestly haven't had any problems with any PS1 games on my PS2. I've even been able to play both Final Fantasy Anthology games, which were reported to NOT work on the PS2.
FFV from the Anthology is the only game that ever gave me problems, and the only problem was that whenever I would try to save the game would just freeze up. Hence, I never got to play FFV fully until the GBA port came around years later.
And does anyone happen to know why, when you're playing a PS2 game on a PS3, it has to log you off of PSN and everything else, while a PS1 game allows you to stay on and see who signs on and off and such? I'd really like those messages to be there while I'm playing PS2 games as well, and I don't see what the problem would be.

@DougyDougyGiro!*:
These are some fun matches Nur. I haven't had this fun in a while.
Join people.
Damn, man, your Lucas is a beast to fight against now. That was some really good practice for me. It seemed like where ever I was your stick had just enough reach to hit me first.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
Nurlock, other person, three words. FUCK. THAT. LAZOR!!
Very fun matches! Might join again, but gotta move Wii. XD
-Zera
Haha yeah, I had a really good laugh out of that. And man, I really sucked as Wolf bad. I can't count how many times now I've done his or Fox/Falco's side+B off the edge.

RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
Actually went to a friend's house to play, but now I'm back at home and online in case anything's happening.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
I'm sitting around online too, waiting for a friend to get back. Probably will be for a good portion of the night.

RE: Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Friend Codes & Online Information.
Just got my copy today, I'll be going through this thread and adding whoever has updated/posted their's so far; mine's been updated on the third page.

RE: How long do you sleep?
Lately my schedule's been from roughly 2-3 AM to 10-11 AM. I could sleep far longer, but I don't want to oversleep and waste my day, even if I plain love sleeping.
-
RE: The PlayStation Thread
I was really expecting something to come out of GDC about those, but still nothing. I think there's some other Sony conference coming up sometime soon, so, maybe then? But that's what I get to thinking before every major gaming event.
-
RE: IronMan Movie Thread
Very much agreed.
I'm really looking forward to this now, and I also just heard about the fact that they're putting Ironman in The Incredible Hulk, at least for some small role. Interesting stuff.
-
RE: Professor Layton and the Curious Village
The first time I tried it (which is around the time I first got the game), it had me stumped for a good long while before I just went back to the main game. After having beaten the main game, but before I found and finished every puzzle, I went back to it and saw the answer a lot easier. I honestly love the feeling of finally seeing an answer and then thinking of how stupidly obvious it should have been from the beginning.

RE: New DMC4 Trailer
It definitely isn't as tough as 3 was, Dante Must Die on 3 was a damn nightmare. 4's was still tough, but it had just the right balance to it. And personally, I think 1 is really easy, but maybe it's just because it's such an old game now-a-days that I've played through quite a lot.

RE: What systems do you own / have you owned?
Only major systems I don't own are any Sega systems before Dreamcast and a 360. Well, I never did have a Game Boy Pocket or Color either, I went straight from the fat one to an Advance.
-
RE: One Piece The Movie - The Desert Princess and the Pirates
Went to Wal-mart around noon and they had it, still in the process of stocking all of today's releases. Not too bad, but it definitely is more of a highlight reel than an actual movie. Skips around way too much for anyone who doesn't know fully what's going on.
Which to me, is just fine, since I know what the hell is going on being the scenes and all.
-
RE: Movies 2008
Let's see, I'll probably end up seeing:
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince
The Incredible Hulk
Speed Racer
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Saw V (yeah they've really gone downhill, but it's tradition for me now) -
RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
The only thing I really liked in the end of Part V was Diavolo's fate, though maybe it was just 'cause I saw it in the game before it was translated and it was kind of trippy to watch him die again and again. Yeah, King Crimson and GER were just way too over the top, but I really do like the majority of Part V as a whole. And it was going good for a bit near the end, with Polnareff and the body switching and Narancia.
But yet again, this proves one thing: Kira has been the greatest villain so far, since his power never got too out-of-hand that required a last-minute power-up.
Just a truck.

RE: SNK at TGS 2007 (SNK USA to release craploads of goodies!)
XII footage. God damn.
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles
I just got my Franky P.O.P. in (slowly been trying to collect these since I found the second Nami at a convention a year or so ago; slowly as in Franky is my second), and I'm wondering, how the hell does his shirt come off? I'm assuming his arms might be able to pop off, but I'm not about to try it without knowing if they actually can.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
Yeah, I was really expecting them to allow you to do that after you beat it, but I guess they did design some levels for Nero only with all of the Devil Bringer puzzles.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
For some reason, the hardest boss for me is still that frog. No matter what I do, he manages to actually eat me 9 times out of 10. Especially when he uses his girl-antenna and they manage to freeze me. No other boss has really given me too much trouble.
Well, except Credo on Dante Must Die. Jesus christ he kicked my ass all around the place for awhile, especially when he went Devil Trigger.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
Yeah, most of Nero's DT grabs are awesome.
And I just got to Hell and Hell and.. well, fuck that. For now. You may technically have four hits before you die since it gives you three Gold Orbs per Mission, but Dante in the first fight just likes to keep shooting at you before you get close to him to even START damaging him. Both times I tried I had lost two of the Orbs just trying to get my first hit in.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
From what I heard, Hell or Hell is like Heaven or Hell in that you die in one hit, but enemies die normally.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
I really haven't gotten good with using Lucifer in a normal fight yet, but damn can it murder some bosses (R1+Forward+Triangle until 12-ish are out, R1+Forward+Circle with Swordmaster, R1+Back+Triangle). Pandora, though, is damn awesome in a normal fight. A lot of my friends don't like Gilgamesh so much, but it's like the perfect combination of Ifrit (which I loved from DMC1, especially with Kick 13 being here) and Beowulf (DMC3, only liked a few of the moves) for me.
So far, up to Mission 17 on Dante Must Die. It really is a nice balance of difficulty, too, unlike DMC3's DMD mode; in that, the rooms full of enemies were the real threat, while a boss fight was like a relief. Both normal enemies and boss fights in this one are making me sweat.

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
@Impel:
Is that just an action figure or is it for a vidya?
It's a statue/figure/whatever you want to call it. A really damn nice one.

RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
They better plan on making the rest of the Joestars like this. First Jonathan and now Jotaro.
!
And I saw the little tease Zera, and I'm really liking what I see. I'm on the edge of my seat for a new Part 4, since I was in the process of re-reading the entire series when you guys announced your plans with Jojo, so I decided to just put off reading Part 4 and wait for some nice scans. And some damn nice scans at that. -

SBR 29 and 30 (can I say finally?). Enjoy.

RE: New DMC4 Trailer
Yeah, I loved the second Nero vs. Dante fight, and damn is it fun with Dante being able to switch between all your Styles and Devil Arms on the fly, no more only equipping two per mission. Just finished the last mission myself (on PS3 also), and I'm already itching to move on to some Son of Sparda mode.

RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
God, they really went all out with the music selection this time around. I'm still going through the songs, and there are some of my favorite songs in here (like the Dark World theme from ALttP) and some really unusual ones I wouldn't expect (Super Mario Land music?). I have to admit I was a bit iffed about a couple character choices at first, but all this music more than makes up for it.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
Looks like a bunch of stuff recycled from older trailers to me, though I did see some cutscene of the Nero vs. Dante stuff I didn't before, like Nero pounding him in the face.
I'm getting pretty damn anxious for it now, haven't been this amped since the first one came out, with kind of skipping the other ones and all. If I've learned anything, it's that Dante Must Die on DMC3 was a big son of a bitch. At least Heaven or Hell is kind of a fun reward for beating it, since it's so ridiculously easy.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
So there's only these four packs of the music so far? I only got the second one so far just for K. Rool and Dead Cell, but now I really want to hear some more because I've been enjoying the hell out of these.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
As long as the enemies get smarter and really try to hit you while you're stuck grabbing someone else (the ice lizards have shot me while throwing another one a couple times), or at least later enemies get only certain moments of weakness like Berial that they can be thrown in, it shouldn't be too overpowered. Most of the enemies in the demo just looked like the easy first few levels of fodder, so I hope.
There's always the Must Die modes, though.
-
RE: Earthbound 2
Always seemed to me like the time they were planning on getting around to it the system they were on was pretty much obsolete. But I don't have any real idea.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
.. Wow, way to go memory. I completely forgot about it.
Well hey, that just means I got to be excited twice about it
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
Is that a Star Fox bomb I spot? Hell yes. Don't really see anything else that's been unheard of so far. And I'm probably just slow on hearing about the bomb.

RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
If Wolf is actually a different character, I'd be more than happy to have him in. I wanted some more Star Fox representation.
And I'm actually kind of happy about Wind Waker Link. Though that's probably only because I liked Wind Waker more than Twilight Priness.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
Is this Fire Emblem hate or just Fire Emblem main character hate going on? 'cause if it's the first, we've got some problems
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
After seeing how awesome the Mother Subspace stuff was, I could deal with K. Rool being only a boss now. March can only come so fast now.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
So yeah, late to the news rush here again, but has there been anything confirmed outside of some oldcomers so far? Some really nice shots of Subspace, but I've been so busy I missed a lot of this.
-
RE: Super Smash Bros Brawl ptII
Man, I go and watch some show on DVD all day long and come back and the internet's being busted open. Exciting stuff.
-
RE: New DMC4 Trailer
Yeah, I did the entire thing in 10 minutes earlier tonight. Had a minute to spare after Berial (that the boss's name?), too. I'm already in love with Nero's arm, it's just too damn fun pulling and tossing everyone all over the place.

RE: Fav. Scenes/Moments From A Video Game [Spoilers]
Shit, that reminds me that I never finished Covenant. Never got that far.
The only thing that I can think of that still stands out to me personally is FFVIII's intro. Back when that first came out I was mesmerized by it. Nothing else is coming to mind.

RE: Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Deep down I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan, so my eye has been on this game for quite some time now. Haven't been following it extra close, but I've been very interested. Nice video too, first I've seen in a long time, and it's looking good.
