dunno if its ever been mentioned yet, but i think when kuma said, we well no be seeing each other again to luffy, he know that he was going to die. so my theory is kuma had just died recently, possibility cause :
1.just like jimbei, kuma dont want to help the marines with the war, but the marines think that he's to valueable to let go, so they made him self destruct or something(a precaution that vegapunk made)
2.something to do with what he said to rayleigh(whatever it is)

I don't know if anyone ever said this before, but I have another theory about kuma's power.
We know that vegapunk use/copy kizaru ability to give pacifista a laser ability. What if, he(vegapunk) also use kuma's ability?! Remember how he repel all fatigue and battle damage from luffy body. What if Kuma can repel devil fruit power and give it to things. For example, Mr.4's dog and spanda elephant sword. Now I'm not saying that he can repel devil fruit power from people, but from the devil fruit itself.

don't you think it's weird that jimbei rampaged instead of just choosing to not go? he could of just done what hancock did originally and just declined. jimbei probably knows what going up against whitebeard means so he could of chosen to be sent to impel down and do something he has planned. lets say jimbei thinks the marines will be wiped out then he may of chosen to go impel down and save all the fishmen there and take them to fishman island because thinks might get chaotic in the world with the marines gone.

I think Jinbei goes berserk on Mariejoa had something to do with fishman slaves, and so happens in the same time he was ask to stood up for the WG, so then he goes like.."WTF!!You turn my people into slaves, and now you're asking for my help?!??!"

the young croc pic always stood out to me. why would oda go out of the way to show this guy in his very own panel? would be nice to see a buggy/crocodile reunion if croc was indeed in rogers crew. that may be the only reason why crocodile joins this fight. after all he could of escaped when he was freed by baroque works but chose to go to jail instead. if buggy was his ex crew member then he may be the only that motivates him to fight.

If he is, will he encounter Luffy?
If he did, then there can be only 3 possibilities :
1.Luffy beat the crap out of him
2.Garp going AWOL (or at least help Luffy in some way)
3.Luffy can escape from Garp without any confrontation (which I think is most unlikely).
Anyway, what ever hapenned, I think after this incident, the Monkey family will be world famous….or screwed.

Oh, and in Lv.5 there should be Jinbei and Croc too isn't it? I wonder what role will they play in this arc.

First of all, this chapter just killed the 'Portgas D. Shanks' theory, thank God. and I don't think Ace held any grudges against Dragon for not being around, I think he know that if Dragon stays around it will endanger every single one of his family. But the fact remains that, Ace never know how it was to have a father until he met WB. And about Portgas….still to many mysteries.

Luffy : I dont think he was meant to learn anything, I think Kuma sent him there because he knew, somehow Luffy would melt Hancock's heart because he sent a tenryubito flying(and I don't know why would Kuma wan't that) and if he actually learn about Haki in the process, i think it's just a bonus.
Zoro : HHe will make his spirit a lot stronger by gaining imunity to Perona negative ghost(but not using usopp style)
Sanji : I think Oda still saving a surprise
Nami : Gained a clima tact upgrade, or a way to use it more eficiently, because she will learn more about weather (obviously)
Franky : Body upgrade (obviously)
Robin : A little insight about the lost history
Chopper : I have no idea
Brooke : Kuma thinks that it's a suitable place, i mean what would be better island for a walking talking skeleton than a demon summoner island.

I loved this chapter. I thought Hancock feeding Luffy was both humorous and cute. And for some reason I really like the panels featuring the Shichibukai. And it seems Blackbeard always adds an article of clothing every time we see him.

It's a weak story point that was poorly addressed by Oda. God may have three letters like Oda but sometimes he doesn't do everything perfect. This is one of those times. There's no excuse. Yes, there are a million reasons WHY it could have worked out that way I agree. But it remains that Oda left it dangling.

I'm not saying that Oda never make mistakes, heck.. nobody's perfect, but I gotta say… I don't think this is one of those times. I think the marines are desperate for help, that they don't mind small things like that(small thing according to them).

But I do have my own question.

In this chapter, sengoku looks confuse, so my the hell did he start this war if the marines not ready to confront WB.:wassat:

I think the big brawl are gonna happen at ID, before the execution time, there's gonna be a mass break out, a lot of new world pirates are gonna be involved, and I think after this, the OP world will never be the same again, I think Oda has planned something a lot bigger for the SH than just travel from island to island, I don't know what, but I'm sure it's gonna be great!!

Kuma is another subject, I am sure that in his first encounter with Zoro and the others he was there with the objective of putting fear into them, but in this part or the story he didn´t want to help them. He wanted to put fear on them saying "don´t continue from this point or you will find death". Remember how Garp said that he wanted to visit Rayleigh? He couldn´t go since Kizaru was in the island then he sent Kuma who found Strawhats and teletransported before he talked with Rayleigh about the situation. But the main reason why all them the Strawhats were completely isolated one by one without killing them is a favor that Kuma was doing to Garp.

I like this theory, this is very-very interesting indeed.

Shanks wrote 2 letters, one for Newgate and the other for Garp, we know all about the first letter but not the second one, since Shanks was the man who saved Luffy life then Garp respects him indirectly and we know Garp relationship with Ace. In other words, Garp could have received a letter from Shanks alerting about Blackbeard plans.

Think all the scanlated people are waiting for a better quality scan before they put it up. There should be a couple of tanslations around. Franky-house has one and Cnet over on Mangahelpers also posted one. Its what we are all using for now But since its such a talk heavy chapter we are all waiting for the scanlation to actually enjoy the chapter as it was intended. So atleast I am for sure waiting patiently for that scanlation too.

It has some info on page two of someone correcting the translation that was issued earlier by the script release, apparantly there was a couple of bubbles missing that adds even more information regarding Hancocks behavior. Apparantly the minute she heard that Luffy was asking her for a favor, she stood up and got better to the surprise of everyone in the room. And its actually Hancock asking everyone to get out of the room and let Luffy in, not Granny Nyon.

Luffy is heading to ID to try and rescue ace before he is being escorted there or else he will have to deal with all the shichibukai and admirals at once while they escort him to the execution platform. Arlong, Kuroobi and Chu are alive, hachi said so at duval arc, and yeah spandam is still alive, and Kuma definitely NEVER killed anybody, he was said to be the Tyrant and a cruel pirate beyond measure because he like to help old people cross the street, he wouldn't even hurt a fly .

Sorry if I didn't know, but does it ever been stated that the execution will be held in ID? all I know is that ace is imprisoned at ID. Could it be that the execution will be held some place else like Mariejoa?and I always thought that Ace will be rescued (by whoever) at the time of his execution(last minute rescue), not before.

Here's my appinion

1.Boney & Capone should escape easily.
2.Kid and Law escape eventually, because Kid said to Law & Luffy,"Lets meet again in the New World".
3.Hawkins, Drake, Urouge & Apoo, should have no problem escaping, since all of the bigshots (Kizaru, Pacifista and that broad axe guy (forgot his name) are after the SH). Although they were injured, I don't think they would be having any problem with some marines small fry.
4.And as for Zoro, I think we will find out next week, cuz I think Luffy's arc is over now.

I've been reading back the early chapter, when luffy was still a little boy, i'm looking for the words luffy said, the exact same words as Gol D. Roger, I thought it should be a hell of a words, but I couldn't find anything that could be the words anybody here have any clue?

I dont think that is necessary, if pirate captain's who's worth more than 100million B and with unimaginable DF don't even dare to touch the tenryubito, I doubt a slave with a DF power dares to do anything. I think it's all about mental pressure. Especially when you had the entire world government at your back.

Just a solo thing. In one of my intros I think I explained why I enjoy doing it alone and have for over a decade back from my Ultimate DBZ Info Site days. It takes a long time but I do it alone as a challenge. But I'm not totally alone. A lot of input from posters here, and friends and family help make it possible in the later stages of assembly. But for now, just me.
