@hideoushorrendous it seems you just don't like One Piece as a whole. Most of what I see from your posts is negativity. It's okay to move on from something if it's not your cup of tea anymore etc. No offense man

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
Does anyone know if Jump magazine is being sold anywhere else in Asia aside from Japan? I'm in Hong Kong for a few weeks and wonder if any book / manga stores carry it? I know they have japanese tankobons but last time I was here I haven't seen much more. Thanks!

RE: Volume 107 Prediction/Discussion
@Captain-M Had a quick look, they both appear during the attack on Mariejois in this volume and I feel like Aramaki is currently not any a lot more relevant than Issho. Of course it's not a big deal regardless.
-
RE: Volume 107 Prediction/Discussion
That Yonko page layout looks a tad weird with them being not aligned and the way Cross Guils sticks out like that. Makes it look like Mihawk is somehow affiliated with Teach if you don't look too close at it.
Edit: Also, where is Issho in the Marines section? I sort of forgot his current status and the last time we saw him but this makes it look like he is no longer an admiral and instead Sakazuki is in his spot?

RE: Volume 107 Prediction/Discussion
Looking good! The cover pretty much pictures everything I expected it to. The only thing I don't like is that Hibari is in exactly the same pose as in Chapter 1080. It's just like Luffy on Volume 104 which is the same as the G5 reveal. This kind of thing feels lazy and almost copy-past-y to me. But it's a minor issue on an otherwise quite nice cover.
By the way, do you guys know if we have definitive confirmation of this volume including chapters 1077 to 1088? Would love to know!

RE: A New Anime Opening + ENDINGS ARE COMING BACK!!!
Seems like they focused on arriving at very fluid high-framerate animations and therefore ended up with very short-lasting animations so they decided to pretty much stall for time at the start.
I like the opening but it had potential to be way better than it is. -
RE: Volume 107 Prediction/Discussion
Gotta agree with the predictions of 107 ending with chapter 1088.
I just feel like it would feel way more fitting to have this big chunk of non-Egghead chapters all wrapped up in one volume.Plus I think we could therefore have a volume cover that encapsulates all these world events in one picture - possibly even without Luffy on the cover.
And then afterwards with 108 we'd be back to a (presumably) hundred percent Egghead themed volume and cover. -
RE: Volume 106 Predictions/Discussion
Liking this cover! The colours are great and vibrant and I don't even mind not seing the Punks yet.
The only thing I'm iffy about is it feels more like it should've been a colourspread? It's hard to explain but something about the vibe and how large Luffy is with this perspective makes it quite different from most previous covers. Like it's closer to a Color Walk cover, if that makes sense.
Definitely still like it though and look forward to picking it up. -
RE: Chapter 1085: The Death of Nefeltari Cobra
Randomly decided to make a low-effort overview of where we've been to in this arc, as in which chapter roughly covers which locations/scenes/plotlines.
Guess we actually haven't been away from Egghead as long as it feels like we have (though ofc a better analysis would be panel-time percentage etc.)
Anyway, I've come to accept the cutaways and still enjoy the ride, though I do need a recap every now and then.

RE: Greg: Teacher of SUPER " OP " course !
@Sun-D
I've also wondered about this before. Granted, it's not unlikely that Smoker mentioned it to people back at HQ or having had to report it since Luffy escaped, so to justify it.
But I do like to picture the interaction between Dragon and Garp. -
RE: "One Piece Color Walk 10: Dragon" will be on sale 4th April 2023
@Ryuga-san
I got mine in the mail yesterday, it is definitely thicker than the previous Color Walks (though I only own 1-5 before this one). So far I've only looked through half of it and there's already so many great illustrations and spreads that I honestly don't remember, I always love to rediscover them. It also includes that one Vivre Card illustration of the characters size comparison but, like, in extra large. -
RE: Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion
@Zanze said in Volume 105 Predictions/Discussion:
Typical cover for a volume in-between big arcs, aside from it being a throwback.
"In-between" sort of? The content of this volume is at least half Egghead. I would have expected at least a certain percentage of Egghead related representation on the cover. Also it kind of feels like "wasting" a cover to do a throwback like this, I dunno, maybe part of it is the fact that several people had already noticed "the thing" about the Vol 25 cover months ago and so I feel kind of disappointed personally. Expected something more creative and I'm also tired of seeing Nika on now 3 covers in a row.
Not to be too salty but I don't really like gimmick covers, as the 99-100-101 were. I'm fine with it for colorspreads but on covers it's not very interesting to me.

RE: Chapter 1074: Mark III
@Ivotas said in Chapter 1074: Mark III:
There's no way he's been monitoring Bonney all this time without witnessing what she did to the Stella.
Exactly. That whole "Bonney? She's been here this whole time" thing was odd in general. Is that really just there to make a gag out of Luffy's search for her?
Or is it just to tell the reader "Bonney is still here but Stella alone is missing" which makes it seem he didn't enter the memory bubble along with Bonney like I initially thought. In that case, Stella was taken by the traitor while Bonney was briefly in the bubble as seen in this chapter and so she also missed how that happened and who did it.
Another thing I forgot until I reread all of Egghead the other day (which feels early but I still really needed it lol):
Stella-Punk has the ability to teleport/vanish into thin air, we saw him do that before the CP0 clash. Maybe he used that to hide now. Although it's unclear to me if that's a warp or Invisibility - it used the same effect as Absalom & Sanji. -
RE: Chapter 1074: Mark III
@Johnny-B-Decent That's just what I found weird. That we'd see a Mk 3 before 2
-
RE: Chapter 1074: Mark III
When CP0 arrived and Lucci spotted Luffy they contancted Navy HQ to let them know an emperor is present as they need clearance to engage with an emperor first. We saw Sakazuki hear the news the same chapter and so the call that reached Sakazuki was intercepted by Morgans somehow, I'm pretty sure that's how he knows about the Egghead events.
As for the Pacifista models - I thought the Seraphim are supposed to be Mark 2? That's also what the wiki implies at the moment.

This looks like one of the Vivre Cards. Not sure though.

That or maybe Luffy fights Kizaru, runs out of Haki and needs to use the gloves then. I'd like to see it too.

RE: Chapter 1073: Miss Buckingham Stussy
@Deicide It's true, it would contradict what we know about his power but I'm trying to figure out where they could've gone otherwise.
-
RE: Chapter 1073: Miss Buckingham Stussy
My theory is that Bonney and Punk both touched the paw bubble and disappeared because they are now in the flashback experiencing the past like in A Christmas Carol where Bonney will see exactly how things went down in Kuma's life but she can't interact with anyone/anything and is powerless to stop the tragic events. That could be a neat new way of doing a OP flashback.

RE: "One Piece Odyssey" trademark registered by Shueisha and Bandai Namco
Also Zoro seemingly wears this outfit in Egghead as well and Luffy wore his at the beginning of Wano for example.
But yeah, the others haven't been seen again in the main series so I also wish we could move on from them in the various media. -
RE: "One Piece Color Walk 10: Dragon" will be on sale 4th April 2023
Finally! I love flipping through these

RE: Chapter 1071: The Hero Deploys
@Zhenja said in Chapter 1071: The Hero Deploys:
He achieved his goal when the Shichibukai were dissolved. And Vegapunk is the reason it happened.
Hm yeah, it does seem to make sense. Also he'll never deliver Luffy and Law's head so it's not like his career has room to go forward (at least as long as Sakazuki is in charge). Let's see what next chapter will tell us.
-
RE: Chapter 1071: The Hero Deploys
@Johnny-B-Decent
You know, I could sort of picture this. Sakazuki did forbid him from entering any Marine Base so maybe this is why he lives at Egghead currently. On the other hand it would be a bit much for an Admiral to start fighting CP0 like this suddenly. He'd basically be done as a Marine right there, I imagine. -
RE: Chapter 1070: The Strongest Form Of Humanity
Did someone mention how Luffy was just magically wearing the future outfit again after he stopped using G5?
-
RE: Volume 104 Predictions/Discussion
It looks like Hiyori is getting ready to take a bite out of Momo
-
RE: Volume 104 Predictions/Discussion
It seems not the first time that the amount of chapters included differed from what was strongly expected right upon release.
Now in regards to the colours and overall look of the finalised version I have to say I am more accepting of it although I would have liked to see adult human Momo and maybe not Gear 5th again right after the last one. -
RE: Volume 104 Predictions/Discussion
Super disappointing cover. I don't know if there is more that will be added after this sketch but I was really hoping for a scabbard group shot with or without adult Momo but just something that is heart warming send off for Wano with a cover that feels like it has some effort put into it. Instead we get what looks like a copy-pasted Gear 5 Luffy from its first appearance (as much as I like that chapter) and not much else (I was hoping for a hint towards the next arc, similar to the Fishman Island final volume cover). And I don't like people complaining about Wano too much but I have too say that volume covers for Wano were very much below average tbh. I really did expect more. Maybe part of it is that I was never a fan of 99-100-101 being one big one... but still, they weren't great.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Lizzy
I do also think they are related. At the very least they are from the same place. Kuma was the king of Sorbet Kingdom in South Blue and we know that Bonney also comes from South Blue and on top of that the island's name is food related so it feels quite plausible. -
RE: ONE PIECE ALL FACE
Why would they include shitty scribbles from way in the background
-
RE: The next arc: what will it be?
I kinda hope for a destination we never heard of before. Something entirely new.
-
RE: Official Wano Thread
Do we know the Beast Pirates were aware of Pluton being in Wano or not? Seems they never mentioned it at all.
They found the old Wano underwater thanks to Jack but Pluton is further down, right? -
RE: Chapter 977: The Party's Off!!!
The forum! Almost gave up hope, thank god! Fantastic chapter of course!
Can't believe Jinbei returned and I couldn't watch everyone's reactions on here when it happened. That said though, huge thanks to the people who dealt with the situation to get the site running again!

RE: 922: "A Chivalrous Tale! Zoro and Tonoyasu's Travels Together!"
Honestly I'm not hoping for less filler this time around if it's quality filler like in this episode where it fills in the gaps of the manga and its off-screen scenes. The scene with Zoro and the gamblers was fantastic.
Although I feel like Yasu looks strangely big here? Cannot remember if he was like this in the manga.
Orochi's VA is the same as Hogbacks, yeah? -
RE: One Piece Koby Manga Spinoff??
Yeah, this existed for a while but I haven't read it so no clue if it's good.
-
RE: Volume 93 Predictions/Discussion
Cover looks better than anything I could imagine. Absolutely worth the wait!
I expected Yasu to be positioned more centric but I'm fine with this although it irks me a bit that his face is partially covered by the scythe and I feel like the logo should still be on the top layer but that's just a nitpick.
Also any doubt about Hiyorisaki has been crushed finally. -
RE: 889: "It Finally Starts - The Intrigue-Filled Reverie"
I believe it was stated that we were supposed to have a new opening for 892, right? Shouldn't we have more info about that by now? Usually we get the song title and some kind of preview a few weeks in advance.
-
RE: General Anime Discussion Thread
Well maybe then for 890 they'll stretch the part with Marco and Nekomamushi for an entire episode + flashbacks perhaps
And then 891 is the second half of the Seppuku chapter being used as a sort of setup for Wano and then 892 as the official start with the Strawhats arriving on the island.Just a prediction tho.
Edit: Nevermind :) thanks for the titles!

RE: New One Piece Movie "Stampede" (August 2019)
Amazing poster!
Luffy looking much more mature on there somehow. -
RE: General Anime Discussion Thread
Hi guys https://orojackson.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/smile.png
I will be honest with you, I asked this question in a lot of forums and still didn't get an answer, in fact, if you searched for this question on google chances are the poster is me. And I also asked people that watch One Piece as well and I'm still looking for answers. And I'm not doing this because of any malicious intent, I genuinely don't know the answer.
So I'm hoping to find an answer here.In the Skypiea arc in the One Piece anime series, Enel, who is the main antagonist of that arc, says he's "god", is that true?
And if so, does he mean he’s A god, like Thor from the Marvel comic book franchise or does he mean he’s THE God, the one one that Muslims and Christians pray to?
And did any of the Straw Hat Pirates believed him?
He's not literally a god. He's a human that came from a sky island and he ate a devil fruit that gave him his powers and that's why he started to think of himself as a god.
Although Idk why he doesn't have the wings like all the other people from Birka. Instead he's got the drums and for some reason I thought at one point that was because of the devil fruit but I'm not sure this was ever stated.

RE: Next Straw Hat Crewmates (Vol. 7 - Wano)
Since I don't always follow this thread super thoroughly I apologise in advance if this isn't an entirely original theory/prediction.
What if Tama was originally from 20 years ago, the same time Kinemon and the others came from? Let's say she was two years old at the time - somehow during the violent dethronement of the Kozuki Family or some other circumstance she is sent by Toki about 15 years into the future to save her life because there was no other way at the time. Tengu finds her and takes her in, a couple of years later she meets and befriends Ace (which I think happened 4 years ago?). In the present she is now 8 but really she would be 28. Now what if Toki was still alive today (not the most unplausible thing in this world) and at the end of the arc she is asked by Tama to send her back sometime between 10-15 years ago so she could spend that time to become a fully trained kunoichi, just like she wanted to be. I'm assuming by the end of this arc she'll want Luffy to take over Ace's promise and this way it could happen right away. The reason for asking Toki to send her back would be her remembering (as the Strawhats are about to leave Wano) how Ace said that he wouldn't take her on board because she was just a kid and her not wanting to miss her chance a second time). I guess time travel works differently in every film/series but I'm imagining this like: Toki sends kid-Tama back at the end of the arc and then a few seconds later she'll pop out somewhere as an adult because the timeline adapts to her going back and growing up - like a kind of Back to the Future style reaction..
Edit: I just now remembered that it was stated that Toki can only send others forward in time and not back - however I could see that being retconned in so far as to say that she can travel/send someone back but only once - similar to how the Ope Ope no Mi has the Eternal Youth Operation that costs the user his life.
…Although I guess all this is kind of out there and probably doesn't make sense lol but honestly I'm not fully serious.
But in all seriousness: the reason, I think, why Tama would have good chances to join is because Luffy is interested in her. She can tame animals which is something that Luffy loves to do himself as well.
And if Luffy thinks someone is cool then that is a huge plus for that person's chances - and as the arc goes on that interest can grow. -
RE: The One Piece Music Thread
How likely do you guys think it'd be for Avex to release another Album containing the newer Character Songs that were included in some of the Log Collections (i.g. the Jinbe and Law ones) and maybe some New World tracks? (not sure how much was covered on the Film Z OST honestly…)
It seems they were more active in that regard in the earlier days of the anime which is a shame because those Seiyuu's definitely can sing.
