I'm actually getting excited about reading Toriko again. This arc certainly has more thought put into it than the ape-circus that was the Pair-arc, and the new characters/villains look pretty neat.

I disagree, imo these inconsistenies are keeping Jojo from being a legendary series, instead of just being an iconic one.
It just shows how little Araki cares about the universe he created, he just wants to tell the story that is currently in his mind, but lets it fall like a hot potato after he comes up with a new one, without return.

Can Nakaba just replace Diane with Matrona for the rest of the series? That would be fantastic, thanks.

I think the logical solution would be for Diane to become more like Matrona under her supervision. Diane doesn't have to give up her believes to become a badass like Matrona, she just has to learn to respect the art of battle instead of hating it.

Diane is at her weakest when she is alone and has nothing or no one to fight for, Matrona knew that long before Diane joined the Sins.

I think if her attitude about fighting changes, she could easily be on a similar/ the same level as Meliodas, Escanor and King at their full power.(Depends on how deep the rabbit hole goes with Meliodas)

This episode just ruined my day, if not my entire week.

! The screams, the pleading and to top it all off the parents standing in plain sight, giving her a faint hope for escaping her fate, before it being crushed with inaction on the part of the man she thought she could trust the most in this world. (Am I thinking too much into it?)
The writers of this series just delivered the pure essence of cruelty in this episode, and I hate them for it. (It´s unreasonable, I know)
Especially after the red wedding I expected everything from this series, but preparing myself for something like this is impossible.
I hope Stannis gets to burn at some point too, while begging his daughter for forgiveness

you misunderstand..i meant that i though that in the flashback the one who wasn't really dead was her friend..that decided that the only way to stop fighting was to die,and so either alone or with matrona's help feinted her death to go away…of course the one in this chapter is matrona

Yeah, I thought that too about Dolores, and I think it can still happen.
But there´s currently a meme going on that revolves around people believing that Dolores turned herself into a Matrona clone somehow, and I didn´t want that to spread.

Yeah, this second part of the fb was pretty boring. What a pathetic way for Matrona to go, and in the end Diane didn´t even do or learn anything important. I hope Nakaba can redeem these two chapters by using them as a basis for the upcoming arc that will probably take place at Megadozer

And were you expecting something different? The story is jut 1/3 completed, any resolution regarding the pairings at this point is obviously impossible.

They didn´t see her getting hit by the technique, but it´s not hard to figure out that she was. When they arrived she was on the ground, clearly bothered by something, but without any obvious injuries.

And no, I didn´t expect resolution for the pairings, just a more elegant solution.

Did anyone else notice that there´s something wrong with Diane?
At one point she asks: "Seven Deadly Sins?", as if she didn´t know there were Seven.
She probably thinks there are just Six Deadly Sins and Gowther made her forget about Kings existence entirely.
So Gowthers devilry still hasn´t ended yet.

I´m kinda pissed that Diane always gets used as a substitute for Kings suffering all the time, why can´t it be Diane that has to save King from death or mindfuckery for once?
It´s not like she couldn´t be a hero of love, but she just doesn´t get the right situations granted to her by the author.

And why does nobody care about Dianes state of mind? When Merlin and Meliodas arrived at the scene, it was clear that Diane was hit by one of Gowthers techniques, but nobody bothers to worry about her state of mind.

So the vampires are their own clan? I wonder how they fit in with the other clans then, if they´re on their own, or are if they´re affiliated with the demon clan or something. They seem to have something in common with the demon clan at least, since both clans were sealed at some point.

But just like with the demons, I hope not all of the vampires are unreasonably evil, why not have some demons / vampires that can be reasoned with?

Why is the design for Bambinas true form so undefined? It´s like the Nitro from Gourmet Pyramid all over again.

I don´t mind the change to Gowthers introduction arc either.
Making him hang out with the monster in the armor makes his introduction so much more interesting than him disguising as a normal guy taking care of a shitty brat.
I think the newcomers would prefer it this way.

Succubi are actually supposed to be all female. To leave Guila pregnant Gowther would have to be an Incubus. Of course, succubi can change sex and turn into an incubus if they need to. (I'm sorry, I'm a huge mythology nerd)

That´s what I´m getting at.
Him being the sin of lust, his appearance that can appeal to both men and women, his ability to shapeshift to a certain extent and his ability to change his personality at a whim kinda brought me to that theory. The only thing that wouldn´t make sense with this theory is how weird and puppetlike his body is (which speaks for the Golem theory). But since Merlin is playing around with magic from the demon realm, I could imagine her actually summoning a demon and binding it to her will.

Like I said, as a theory even I think it´s still far fetched, but I´d think it´d be cool if there were Succubi/Incubi, it would give the demon clan more variety and give Gowther a special relation to Meliodas.

Even if Gowther was an schemer, what would he accomplish by bedding Guila? Is he trying to revive the Succubus clan by impregnating random women? (Stupid theory of mine)

The relationship between Guila and Gowther is probably the most surprising thing about these 2 chapters. Now I really want to know what happened between the two when Gowther invaded her mind in order to stop her demon blood from going Berserk. I want to know if their relationship is actually legit.

So much "HNNNG" in these two chapters. Although it was Diane that took the initiative, I hope it will work out for King and her.

Well now that I think about it, Meliodas is a 3000+ year old antichrist who has seen far worse shit than "Demon-Wannabe" Hendy. If there´s someone I´d trust to pull something out of his ass in this manga, it´d probably be him.

And yeah, Hawk obviously isn´t a normal talking animal, that has already been established in the most recent extra-chapter. I don´t think his revival had anything to do with Elizabeths tears, since Elizabeth can´t resurrect the dead.
We just need an explanation of what Hawk exactly is, so his survival won´t be bullshit anymore.

We still lack an explanation about Hawks survival. But other than that a chapter that just makes you feel good. (Except when your name is Diane or King. (King, just man up already!!))
Gowther will get a new armor? I wonder just how important that armor is for Gowther to need one. (Hopefully he isn´t the only one to get an armor)
Gowthers and Merlins relationship should be pretty intriguing.

! I don´t know if I like it. If I had known sooner that Meliodas has a Genkidama-like attack, there wouldn´t be any problems. The execution was great, but that attack is still an asspull, and that is always a big fat blot on a series legacy.

I didn´t actually realise that this is doing well in the rankings and that there are more than a dozen chapters out already. Looks like "Bad Luck" Horikoshi finally did it, so I´ll might as well keep reading it.

The artist is really good, so it´d be a shame if he fails again.

Personally I don´t know if I´m going to enjoy this, the protagonist really doesn´t have much going for him yet, and I don´t think that will change all too soon. I hope there´ll be some other likeable characters that support this series until the protagonist can support it for himself.
