      Guys,

      As of today I'm canceling all my accounts everywhere (blogs, websites, pretty much everything I've had the last ten years) because I want to have more time to work on my drawings. (^_^) Kinda drastic, but I'm hoping it'll be a positive change in my life.

      I'm not deleting my AP account, but won't be replying to PMs (some of you have noticed that for a while, sooorry…!) Likely I'll be snooping around once a month or so--but I don't know when or if I'll ever post again. Likely I won't be able to read replies to this post either. I just wanted to say good-bye for now at least, I enjoyed my short stay and will remember all of you fondly.

      @Buuhan1:

      I think I recall that being linked to quite awhile ago. They actually have made one for SEVERAL anime series.

      Yeah, they did… I remember seeing one for Inuyasha and another one for Fruits Basket. They usually put it next to the manga. wonder which others they made. Not that I'd buy them.

      Man, I didn't look hard enough! I thought there was prractically no OP merch at Yasumicon ;__;

      That was true. The posters are all I found. But hey, you were there, too? Anyway, sorry you missed the posters… But! The people in that booth are opening a store soon. If you go to animeatlantis.com, all you can see for now is the store's future address. Keep an eye there to find out when it opens. I'd like to go at least once. They sell a lot of unlicensed stuff, but let's face it, this if often the one we want and can afford (at least in my case.) I'm pretty certain the posters are not licensed. If they were they couldn't cost $3.00.

      Although who knows. At this other booth they had Inuyasha gashapon for $3.00 each ( I got me 3) and I know those were the real thing.

      By the way, did you hear Mr. Yamaguchi play those pieces from Miyazaki movies on his violin? That happened on Sunday.

      I'm so jealous! 3 DOLLARS EACH! DAMMIT! I want that first one!

      Ah, I understand… I tried to contain myself when I heard the price. But I couldn't. I kept erupting in little guinea-pig like squeals, more out of breath with every OP poster I saw. When I found that one, of which there were a few, I honestly wished that you guys could have been there. This isn't my favorite poster as much as I do like it (my favorite is the one with Luffy pounding the mochi) but I thought that it was so rare to see these characters on a poster. And seriously, $3.00. I wish you could have been there...

      Eeek! I'm so happy!!! o(^0^)o Just came back from YasumiCon and they had these larger-than-usual, plastic One Piece posters, for just $3.00 each!!!!

      !
      !

      My favorite is the second one. (^ ^) They're almost twice as big as the laminated posters you usually find online. The material they're made of is a little strange. It's stronger than paper and feels like woven plastic to the touch. I was so thrilled when I found them I couldn't stop squealing. I got four One Piece posters, an Inuyasha one for just $1.00 because it was in less than perfect shape, a couple of unknown shojo ones and also one of Hikaru No Go. I looked hard for more One Piece goods, but there wasn't anything… Although I did see a black guy dressed like Sanji (that was odd) and somebody cosplaying Luffy. I bought a bunch of other things, but this is the One Piece collectibles thread, so I won't talk about them here. Please head to my blog later tonight if you want to see. (^_^)

      EDIT: BTW, I just pre-ordered P.O.P.s of Luffy and Franky. (^ ^)

      I think Zobofool's got a perfectly valid reason. Although I once had a more "serious" reason if you want to call it that, nowadays I'm learning Japanese just because I'd like to be able to read original manga as it becomes published. And also because I like languages in general. In the past, when I could afford it, I would pay $60.00 an hour and take two buses to get Japanese classes from a nice lady who had originally been an elementary school teacher in Japan. And the only reason I had was so that I could enjoy manga better.

      I don't think you can tell people what works for them and what doesn't. Obviously, his love of One Piece is all Zobofool needs, if only for now. Why discourage him?

      He said, "I still regret reading her Shounen Jump." Not "taking it" or stealing it" but the fact of reading it. And anyway, my question was directed at him… (o.0) He already answered it and it had nothing to do with having taken the magazine from her. Didn't you read it?

      So, this morning at work, some random older guy (i'd say mid-fifties) asked me to marry him.

      So have you set the date yet? (+.+)

      @MugiwaraShinigami:

      Today really pissed me off. There's this kid in my summer camp classroom (mind you my school holds a summer program in the school called ESY) that I REALLY CANNOT STAND. Thorough explanation of why I hate this kid can be found here, might wanna read it if you want to understand what I'm about to type: http://john-markel.livejournal.com/415467.html

      I brought my laptop in to show my friends what I've done so far on my fandub/Flash movie projects, and my girlfriend Christine's telling this kid to go away because he was getting in our space (again, read LJ entry).

      I was about to tell her to stop trying to shove him off and explain to him that he's getting to close, I hear a smacking noise and I hear Christine say to my teacher that he "hit" her. I immediately stood up from my chair and was about to sock that kid in the face, but he was already removed from the room by the time I turned around.

      Bear in mind I'm very protective of her, she's not exactly one to take pain easy. She's alright, has a small mark from it though, but I'm sure she'll be fine.

      That was my day, how was everyone else's?

      Well, I don't know this kid in person, I only know what I read in this post and in your blog, but maybe due to a friendless childhood of being misunderstood, ignored and/or made fun of by my classmates, I kind of feel for the guy. Some people don't understand the concept of personal space, they aren't purposely trying to be rude. He's probably lonely and frustrated, too, if everyone hates him. Sure, he's acting like an annoying jerk–but you never know why. You never know what's going on at home.

      Sorry, MugiwaraShinigami, I'm very likely pissing you off by defending him... (^_^;) I understand how you feel... But I can't help reacting this way because I kind of get how he must feel as well.

      He sounds very much like he may have ADD (I do) and because of the way you describe him, he probably hates himself quite a bit.

      I can't really offer any advice, though. Ignoring him doesn't seem to work. But he'd probably be less of a jerk if he had at least one friend. Anyway,these are just my humble thoughts. Please don't get mad at me. It's just that he sounds like a little more extreme, male version of myself ten years ago.

      And by the way, if you didn't call him Narutard, he may not call you Onepiecetard, eh? (^_^)
