Has anyone made the connection between Im and Mim from Bone yet? Mim gives me big Red Line vibes. Also there are a lot of themes about dreams/dreaming surrounding her.
https://boneville.fandom.com/wiki/Mim#:~:text=Mim is the queen of,first dragon to be created.
I've done some research into the name Mim and it seems to come from the name Miriam. The name has many interesting meanings, "mutiny / rebellion / disobedience" "mistress or lady of the sea"(that last one's only source I've found so far is from a site called Mom.com so that one is a bit shaky). Also, interestingly, Miriam or Myriam seems to be the Hebrew Old Testament name for the Virgin Mary. Another biblical Miriam is Moses's sister who is associated with water and danced and played the drums while leading the Hebrew women across the Red Sea. I realize that this is a mess of ideas, but I really do think it's possible that Oda and Jeff Smith are taking from the same sources with Im and Mim. I'll do some more research and see if I can find any more connections later.
