Yea, that's what I thought as well, it's just another spot on the island / continent..
But that doesn't make sense unless they were discovering random blotches of treasure. If they were storing it and it wasn't freezing over, then they'd just be leaving it there in heaps in the middle of an icy island.
oh shit i just noticed something, page 15, ceasar calls dofla ''joker'' im sure fuji will understand this, on the panel right after the ceasar one, there's a question mark right by fujitora. Didnt notice this on the first read. So the marine will know that dofla is joker for sure now.
I read that, and totally overlooked it. At first I was thinking Fujitora would take no action against Dofla since he's still a warlord, but now I'm wondering what's going to happen. Makes you wonder what's more important, keeping 'joker' secret, or keeping smile production. Either way, an Admiral has heard it and the only way to un-hear it is to stop an admiral. . which i don't see happening.
Wow, people actually eat up this sappy shit?
Then again, I always wondered how Hallmark was still in business.Though tell me, in your honest opinion, would this situation have been the same if Violet had been a guy? Would Sanji have "seen the honest tears" (gag) and been so ridiculously adamant about him being innocent based on that alone?
If your first thought is "no," which is the truth, then Violet's gender must have had a big part to do with it. Whether the tears were actually honest or not.
You can't be serious?
So what, Sanji should have broke out of being tied up, then booted her in the goddamn face, and that would have not been sexist? Is there anything that /isn't/ sexist? Be honest with me. What should have happened in this scenario that you wouldn't have claimed it was sexist?
I love Bellamy's new personality. He changed from that character you're made to hate to another character that has a purpose in the new world. Interesting hearing about Skypiea and I'm guessing the pillar was plundered from there.
I really liked this chapter. I loved how they went with the Mocha bit. I think the problem with it, is Oda didn't give us enough Mocha from the start, or the other children. Usually he will take the time to make us care about the characters or get into their head enough that we feel more when stuff like this happens.
I think he could have done that better if from the earlier introduction to the children there was more interaction with them. 90% of their screen time was them being giant bags of rage and withdrawl.
It seems people got sick of the 'flashbacks' and Mocha stuff after a few panels, where FI flashbacks took more than one chapter(because Oda made us 'care' more about the characters)

If CC can control air, I hope luffy goes G3 and CC can control the air inside him and make him hit other strawhats or himself. :wub:
Lola's mother will show up before law switches the bodies back, and nami really will be a man
crap theory thread here I come
I took it as the candy they take is simply to keep them addicted. If they are addicted and away from the drug, they will receive withdrawl and think that they are sick, and the /other/ medication they are being provided with is helping them feel better. This medication is mentioned by Brownbeard, as to Brownbeard and the kids, the candy is simply candy.
As for if this is the same candy from fishman island, it could be. If the candy factory was some drug front, and big mam was in that business I could understand that. However it seems big mam is sincerely a lover of sweets, and this could be coincidence. I'll have an opinion on this one after another read through of FI.
The kids however are able to relate the symptoms they receive of withdrawl to the candy which is also noteworthy.
That was a good action chapter!
I actually think neither Law or Buggy has anything to do with this. If Buggy separates his lower body can't talk. If Law uses his powers, the victim's lower body can't talk either. This is a new thing.
Then again, it seems buggy has been talking out his ass for quite some time now . . maybe he developed his ability and can physically do it now?
If Law has done this, why didn't his crew notice the strawhats when they abducted them
The general answer seems to be that this is not Law's crew. They are instead another party involved with the chapter. I tend to agree with this idea, because I like when there are lots of parties involved for their own reasons constantly pulling the plot in different directions. But the reason they would recognize the crew is because of something that happened two years ago. The newer members of laws crew – should there be any -- would most likely not know Luffy or his crew. They may have heard about Luffy from others, or seen his poster, but this does not mean they are or are not a part of Law's crew.
The abductors are part of Vegapunk's group There still remains very little knowledge about Vegapunk. The general relationship between Vegapunk and this arc is that Vegapunk and Punk Hazard both have the word 'Punk' in it. There are small details that some have put together, but there still is not very much leading up to this arc being that Vegapunk is involved. The biggest hint we have on who is involved in this island is the pair of legs mentioning shichibukai, knowledge of Law's devil fruit, and that smokers mysterious sect of marines is on their way. If anything, I feel whomever abducted the strawhats is not related to Law, the Marines, or Vegapunk. The only reason I do not feel it is Vegapunks men, is because I do not see anything really leading that he is involved with this arc.
The idea that saying that no one would miss a few pirates indicates that they are government I think we have seen a few things like this, but I think a good number of pirates share the same idea. It's an accurate statement, if pirates are generally unpopular because they are theives or murderers, then I think that is something that certianly be agreed upon among pirates and marines.
Just my two cents
I feel that Nami creating the milky road for them to travel makes sense. The fact that the enviornment is not correct for it to exist makes sense, but at the same time, same with a lot of her climatactics. Her tool that she used may simply generate an enviornment that can sustain a milky road for them to travel on. Who knows how long it would last if that is the case. I am curious to see oda's explaination.
I absolutely love how the story keeps feeling like it is changing drastically with each chapter.
You guys bring up a great point. Will it destroy the world, or will it break the control from those in power of the world?
It's interesting seeing how Ohara was handled and viewing it from that perspective.
I wish Enel would return, but his absence from the cover pages could be because….uhm...he already got a whole cover STORY devoted to him.
Also, how can Oda reintroduce him in a way that doesn't feel completely out of place?
"Hey I'm back with my army of mechanical midgets, praise me FFS!"
???
Unless the current theories regarding Uranus is incorrect, and there is something related to the final weapon on the moon. Wouldn't that be something, haha. I love Enel, but I won't ever get my hopes up.
I personally dont see BM as the Croc of the New World. To me, it feels like an insult for one of the Yonkou, who are supposed to be the four most feared, respected, and successful pirates in the OP world, to be compared to a failed schibukai, who had to use the World Government and deception to get ahead. I think some of you are underestimating the power and influence that comes as being one of the Yonkou. I'm not gonna get too deep into it as I think it should be obvious that Big Mom is not a bitch you wanna fuck with.
As for the poster who suggested that with Whitebeards death she let herself go a bit…what? Why in the world would she do that? She has got to be informed that Blackbeard is gobbling up Devil Fruits like candy, either for his crew or himself, then why wouldn't she be more cautious? I think it's safe to assume that at their level in the game they are wise and knowledgable. With that said, I imagine all the remaining Yonkous knew Whitebeard, due to his old age and illness, would not be around for too long and made plans accordingly.
My 2 cents.
Really well said. I think if anyone is being underestimated it is the marines. I don't think they would create such an unbalance in power since it doesn't really solve any story /plot lines that i can immediately think of. I honestly think if Oda was so excited to write more about the marines they wouldn't be made up of pushovers. In the event that Luffy stomps Big Mam or otherwise wins, I can almost promise he can't stop all the pirates nor the marines. I think all 3 will be a fantastic challenge to him, and we are not going to see a Big Mam fight for quite some time.
If anything, we may see him encounter her lower ranked members here and there, but I'd give it 100 chapters, or maybe an island or so before they fight directly. Big Mam called him out to the new world directly, meaning she isn't going to travel there to fight him, and he will have to find her to fight her. I think people are a little upset, because they think fighting and winning against Big Mam would mean Luffy has reached the strongest point, and that there no longer is any valid challenges in the one piece universe, and as a result, any challenges he does encounter will simply be unrealistic, as he beat big mam.
Don't forget, Luffy beat Enel who was way overpowered just because he was rubber, that does not mean at that time he could have beaten someone /just/ as powerful as Enel just as easily – infact, he probably would have lost if he wasn't rubber.
I don't think his powers can go that far ahead… unless he can control a really large amount of metal and even then..
Well, you're aware that Luffy's power is 'I can stretch'. Which normally would seem like a pretty useless ability but he uses it well. No need to count out anyone else because of their power. Unless it was kidd who got the human human fruit, then I'd understand lol
If Pluton is a thing and Poseidon is a person then perhaps Uranus is a place
it was the mermaid in the ancient city with the death ship
/clue reference
It's like saying Enel is weak because he was beat by a rubber man..
And it's like saying the WG couldn't beat a single warlord since they recognized them instead of killing them.
So by all these comments, an admiral is less than a warlord.
Or, they don't fight because they both have their reasons / both benefit from one another.
I was really satisfied with how this came out. Told myself I wouldn't watch it until I had a good 4 or 5 episodes piled up to watch but here i am..
Potential problem with eyecatcher: if that's the go-to eyecatcher for the next major stretch of series, it's going to be awkward if/when they add a crewmate in Fishman Island.
I'm hoping that they have other individual ones. I mean, I always found the need for a group one when they have those episodes where everyone plays a large role but they end up shipping two random people from it
his eye is not open, that is not a mistake either. it's a misleading line for the top of his eye. if it showed his whole face, it would make more sense
ring me when you find a pupil
@Vongola_Boss_XI:
Well if she was locked away, it could've started as a rumor…basically "oh she's so beautiful they lock her away" etc. and the fact that Decken was after her probably strengthened those rumors.
how old was dekken back then? i actually don't know so im asking. could be a childhood crush he never grew out of.
I'm surprised she didn't die from the childbirth.
humans don't give birth to grown ass adults, so i'd imagine they wouldn't either. i don't know why everyone has this awful image that she ripped and spurted out the size of a mini van or something.
shirohoshi was born sixteen years ago and dekken proposed 10 years ago
if i do the math
what she was only 6
dekken you perv
. . dekken is so bad ass ahah
@CP9:
Yeah I heard that Whitebeard's face was left intact. That's a bit disappointing and confusing to hear. It's not like they had to show his brain or anything like that.
well he did lose half a mustache, lmaooooo
I don't think the anime is that bad, there's certianly plenty of areas it could improve on but i'll still keep up with it. I def like the manga 100 times more.
When Zoro was vanished. Geez, I couldn't believe it, and the next week could not get here fast enough…of course that only brought more disbelief and misery.
yea that was crazy, probably my favorite
That was so crazy. I never expected for the crew to break up like that
/really/ good didn't see that coming
i heard those strawhats are some pretty bad fellas, starting all kinds of trouble with the world government and what not
Moria is really just to pathetic to despise
:C
:C
I donno, i like doflamingo, i think if he's involved, he's involved in the pills since he mentioned 'slave trading is a thing of the past' and he's got his hands in something that is emerging in the future.
it'll kind of make him not an involved 'villian' in the sense that the strawhats will interact with him, but at the same time he will still be 'involved' if that makes sense
@geekialrage:
sorry I just joined the forums and haven't backread everything. :<
no worries
Why is that? They kept forgetting about him when he was on the Sunny on the way to FI. Of course they're likely to forget about him after they get to FI.
yea, plus i don't think they planned on entering fishman island in the manner that they did. i don't see them stopping to drop him off in that situation. then they got skattered so..
There is no way zoro will lose this fight, get real people! The first real fight, pacifista doesnt count, after all the hard training with the best swordsman in the world and zoro will lose? You guys dissapoint me, plus everybody left, if zoro loses he wouldnt be able to go back to surface, zoro doesnt have an ability, being underwater is not a handicap, not being able to use the 3 sword would be. Luffy is handicapped in the water and look what he did with that kraken… zoro will not lose, stop with this non sense
Do you legitimately believe that zoro does not have any handicaps at all?
@Mr.:
I'm really tired of the generic angry mob. Are they all really so dumb to unanimously assume that Luffy and the others kidnapped the other mermaids?
They hurt our mayor!
They defied God!
They tried to assassinate Iceburg!
They kidnapped the mermaids!STFU
I mean, i kind of give them credit since a big bad pirate crew just showed up as shit went down so it makes some sense but I agree in the sense that it does get old to read. As soon as the mermaids got kidnapped i was like oh god damnit ahahah
Zoro owns Hodi without pills.
And then Hodi uses pills and fight Luffy.
I think the monster trio is going to fight Van der Beeken, Hodi and Caribou.
This is something i pictured. I don't see Zoro KOing Hodi, or Hodi KOing zoro. Something will stop this fight Oda-Style be it neptunes army or what not.
den is really good
for me to poop on
He would have problems with touching Sanji or Zoro… and not to mention Luffy Gear Second.
Nothing saying he wont touch him out of battle. Not like luffy will instantly know who he is and even still it's luffy.
I think the pills are just new.
possibly. whether or not they were or not i don't think arlong would touch them.
Sounds as good as a fake spoiler.
I disagree, it sounds worse than a fake spoiler
@Profesor:
Hi, I'm new in this forum… I think Hodi says he is a more sophisticated pirate than Arlong because his aim is more important than Arlong's, because his plans involve taking a Kingdom...
Welcome && Yea, I can agree with that. it sounds like he finds Arlong to have gotten comfortable and after he "settled down" he "lost his edge".
glad to see a lot of what was being debated every chapter cleared up by this one. definately can't wait for next week to see what's next
General Blackbeard? Doesn't he call himself Captain Blackbeard?
i lol'd, you're awesome.
if someone must be first mate it's zoro - even if i think ussop is sweet
but back to blackbeard guise?
@Mr.:
I want to see Doflamingo. I'm assuming that since no one has beaten him as far as we know, he is being reserved for Luffy to battle.
i just wanna see doflamingo, even if he's just like chilling in a chair or walking down the street on another island or something i'd be content
You're saying that Fishman Island is going to be a completely non-serious arc like Thriller Bark
because he said it doesn't have to mean it revolves around his hatrid for humans you instantly say that means it isn't serious? (then you say you're not jumping to conclusions )
if he hates humans, it does not make it a second arlong
if he does not, it does not make this thriller bark
One Piece is too manly to be for kids, and IMO ppl over 13 ( or 14 ) are no usual kids still I'd label One Piece like +15 or +16 perhaps.
one piece isz so manly
@Joe:
Yeah, no big surprise here. Everyone knew i liked OP and DB in high school and i never got picked on for it. You only get socially mocked when you yourself make it a big deal.
this 100%
also most of the younger crowd's riding on mommies credit card so that will change the numbers a great deal. not saying that adults and older people do not read it (just take that into consideration)
So does this mean Luffy did it to the shark? so he can use his power on others now?
I hope Jinbe allys with Luffy and helps or Jinbe turned out to be the boss of this arc if he supports what Hodi is doing lol.
wat and wat
@Mr.:
Yeah, but your guess is lame and impossible. Gol. D Roger has been dead for 22 years.
held in the lolwomb for 22 years, what beautiful dedication
are you refering the bubble seen in the top pannel here http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/68833748/12, right above FI? it appears to be all coral, which i would call a forest in the ocean.
im pretty sure that's the outline of the palace
@THE:
I definitely disagree with Zik on the subject of Fishman Island not being a major/long arc.
same
there's way too much going on for there to be a quick resolve
we have a handful of new characters thrown at us, some old ones who are back, the crews split up, and no one got jimbes message yet.
not saying it's impossible, but i do think it's very very unlikely
i went straight blackbeard. probably should have tossed moria in there too but i am happy with my selection
loved this episode
really looking forward to the show every week again
I liked the episode but it felt like Jimbe was running in slow motion, Vista reached him in no time
that's exactly what i was thinking, jimbe was running with luffy forever, and vista was at the gap, and turns around like 'hey sup jimbe'
jimbe should have given luffy to vista and he would have been safe episodes ago:ninja:
Blackbeard's laugh made this episode awesome.
blackbeard has my favorite laugh in forever
I find it odd 2 of the 3 major villians need to join forces to take on king neptune but Zoro seems to be able to handle the king himself
and the way he broke out of prison just case he wanted to a bit like silver in the auction house me thinks
the king was showing obvious signs that he didn't think arresting them for crimes they did not yet commit was right and this is probably because of that
i dont see any reason why it would tho…...
zolo got busted using counterfiet coupons from the internet
@Roronoa:
Well, he cannot be a fishman, because he has got normal hands, although his face looks kinda similar to the wolffish's face (a lil bit triangle-shaped).
But that is an ugly fish (I got a link there and I hid it, because IDK if there'd be trouble with hotlinkin):

His facial hair reminds me of an orca-whale, IDK.
B2T:
this chapter wasn't as good as the last ones.
Too much goofyin' around between Luffy and the princess. Oda could have spend less panels with their interactions IMO.
Nevertheless this arc also needs funny parts too, so I'm ok with it - for now.
that thing is hideous
Well, when BB attacked Impel Down, he sucked in a couple of marines. When they were liberated, they mentioned something about being in a complete darkness. So Caribou's DF might work the same way, but if anyone entering his body will be drowned completely, I doubt he'll use it to store those mermaids. Afterall live mermaids must sell lot higher then dead ones. So either he can control the inner body (to let some air in), or his inner part is just a void, or he'll just have to find somewhere else to keep those mermaids, and fast.
At any rate, I dont think being inside him is that convenient. Or else he'll do just the same as Capone
Well im not saying so much as people as much as I am say a cannon or so.
@Fire Fist:
The same as Teach's fruit. They're in his Hammerspace, and upon release, will probably return as a jumbled up mess. What I meant with the comment "The same reason Teach doesn't store an army in himself" was to point out that even though they have this huge storage capacity, their storage isn't exactly organized. It'd be kind of stupid to suck up a bunch of fighters and then release them in a big, jumbled-up pile. The only use for that would be to use them as a distraction to escape with.
In Capone's case, they're "living" in him, not being stored in him. Thus, they're able to organize and come out of him in an orderly, controlled fashion. Teach and Caribou just would literally be spitting them out, which is pointless in a combat situation.
I pretty much was getting at if he can hold in mermaids and them not die, then what is preventing him from holding in other [non living] items. (The image in my head of Caribou spitting out a capone army all jumbled and muddy is pretty funny though). The returning as a jumbled mess pretty much answers my question unless more about it is revealed further down the story line
they did it with a tyrant
source?
@GoustiFruit:
If Caribou has infinite storage, why doesn't he store an army or massive weapons like Capone ?
that's actually a really cool concept
@Fire Fist:
The same reason Blackbeard doesn't.
Basically, Caribou's Logia is a watered down version of Teach's. Teach's can pull objects toward him and suck them in; Caribou has to have the person standing on top of his swamps. Plus, Caribou's can't act like Seastone / Haki for the purpose of attacking Logia… at least, as far as we know.
but right now he's 'storing' 3 mermaids. i don't see why he couldn't drop desired stuff into the swamp he created to hold. if he can't, what is going to happen / is happening to these mermaids?
@HikaruYami:
Except that Caribou can avoid damage from non-haki physical attacks, and also, since he is liquid, he can suffocate and drown people. Don't make it sound like the Akainu > Ace fruit comparison.
aye, hear hear!
I think the overlying theme of friendship and the 'hooo, the journey is the treasure' kind of thing will be present as a conclusion . . but i don't think that is what the one piece will be. I feel it will be something that will upset the balance of the world government and reveal how corrupt they are. instances like how the buster call was previously used builds a good foundation on that the world government in one piece really would consider 'justice'. there isn't too much information that i know of how the world government came to be, but i wouldn't overlook the possibility that it was done inhumanely and the history of it was destroyed. Knowing the truth behind it would certainly cause a great uproar and whatever the one piece is i feel it will be a part of revealing that.
@JERK:
Way to miss the entire point.
It's saying he has not scars on his back as you would get from turning around and being hit on the back, nothing to do with something from the front going through.
It's saying he's never done anything but face an enemy. Never run away.
agree. also there were no giant gaping holes. i don't think that the back was supposed to be viewed as whitebeard was actually standing there with an exposed back, but instead an image-over film technique to show that although he had scars on various locations none were on his back and it was because it was from never running from a fight.
I agree it was definitely confusing at first glance, but it's just like how whitebeard was standing there with the clouds breezing past really fast and the HQ vanishes - just a film technique to represent something entirely different from it's literal representation
@Cyan:
Dammit Toei why did you make it look like Blackbeard stood any chance against Whitebeard.
he did? where???
whitebeard could bearly move and was facing up against a devilfruit power that defies what was known previously as possible.
even still, whitebeard was destroying him.
Started a basic map of fishman island with the sunlight explanation as a focal point. Didn't represent the double bubbles, their suspension, or them entering the top bubble yet.
!
if you just prepare yourself that nothing will ever do the manga justice again, you can stop getting your hopes up and find a new enjoyment to the show.
also i'll agree that whitebeard should not have turned all crazy red and looked like he went gear second
