      you guys do remember that Zoro only had 2 swords when he fought Ryuuma right?

      also you do remember that Zoro pulled off what is arguably his strongest attack against Odz right? 3000 realms, the one he tried to pull off against Mihawk back in East Blue.

      @myogatheflea:

      What are you talking about? Go back and reread chapter 100 and then come back complaining.

      Well I dont know if it was intentional or not, but the Strawhats technically didnt go through Reverse Mountain until ch. 101. They left Loguetown in Ch. 100 and was heading to reverse mountain, and the chapter ended with them announcing their dreams/goals with their foot on the barrel. Still a great way to mark the 100th chapter.

      @DesertSpada:

      Big eater? I got big spender.

      Ya that makes much more sense.

      In the FrankyHouse scanlation they say big spender.

      In Binktopia's they say big eater.

      Don't know which is right.

      Both say he so I dont think they are refering to Bonney, though Im assuming they translations meant she.

      Is Capone a really big eater too? From the script, it says how hes such a big eater as well but also at the same time he seems to be eating with a lot of manners.

    • RE: Some Facts about the "11 Supernovas"

      Probably completely unrelated but I think Apoo might have some reference or inspired from one of the villians in Rurouni Kenshin.

      As we know Oda worked under the author of Rurouni Kenshin and in one arc there was one guy who belonged to a clan or something that emphasized on prolonging their arms. He was cool 🙂

      Read it so long ago, hard to remember his name and what not.

      Got to wonder though, how many of them do you think have Devil Fruit powers?

      Obviously, I doubt all of them have DF powers, but Im pretty sure at least a few do.

      I've always assumed that the toughest are North and West Blue because they lie at the New World Side, whereas East and South Blue lie on the beginning of the Grand Line Side.

      @Greg:

      'kun' isn't just an affectionate term. It's commonly used when talking to children which is exactly what Sanji is doing there. They're talking down to him as a little kid that tends to wander off and get lost. Many of my students are 17-18 but in class we use 'kun' to officially call on them.

      And since he didn't die in the scene, he definitely isn't dead.

      Ah thanks for the clear up.

      @duststorm:

      Wow that pirate died a quiet violent death, he was blown up then shot.
      Did Sanji really refer to Zoro as Zoro-kun?! Was that a mistranslation?
      Could someone tell me what creature the old Tenryuubito has on a leash, it seems too big to be a fish man.

      Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think he called him Zoro-kun cause he was afraid Zoro overheard him say he is a "slave to love." Knowing how much they insult each other, he panicked.

    • RE: On death and dying

      @Greg:

      I'll have to disagree.

      There are moments when I just need to look at his pictures to cry but all of those involve death or the death of someone close to the character at hand. His most emotional scenes are a direct result of death.

      I still don't think he NEEDS it, but it would help if he grew up a little bit and used it later on. Death can be a remarkably lame tool when you overuse it or use it when it's expected (Naruto) but if someone like Oda were to buckle up and use it well (like he's proven he can) it would be very effective.

      If Oda ever does kill a Strawhat, it will be Luffy. He will never kill anyone else. He wouldn't do that to the individual character fans. That said, I doubt he will ever do that.

      Without a doubt, the most emotional scenes in the manga for me were the death of Bellemerre, Hiruluk, and Rumba pirates.
      Another worthy mention is Norland.

      (I never like the flashback argument. Sure most deaths occur in a flashback but a death is a death. Rather its more like deaths occur in the flashbacks because those respective stories use it to be all that more powerful.)

      These characters needed to die to have such an impact. Characters like Pell and Pagaya? No they didnt need to die because I doubt their deaths would have invoked nearly as strong as a response as those above. So keeping Pell and Pagaya alive were justifiable reasons and well something I personally prefer.
