With con season rolling around again I am trying to figure out what I want to do for Sakuracon. I feel like I always have to do an OP costume, but with two other costumes being made I'm not sure what I'll do. I was thinking of just remaking my Bellemere costume a little nicer, but that nagging for a new costume is hard to resist. Pell is proving the most tempting thus far….
I got mine from Michael's. I cut a few rings off because I did not like the width of the brim, but it was really easy to do if you wanted. It was also dirt cheap :D
It sure was. XD It's a pretty crappy wig, but since it's an afro you can't really tell. It was helpful when I mounted the crown on it that it wasn't too long so I could use a sturdy foam sphere for it to sit on. So depending on how you plan to mount the crown a longer wig might work just as well. At the time I also was basically broke, so it was really all I could afford. I had originally intended to use this one and dye it like you were thinking.
I personally went for a smaller wig for Ivankov, because his afro is not that big compared to the size of his head (and it was cheaper XD) But if you wanted a big one that's probably a good route to go. There was a fairly large one on ebay I liked, but I don't have the link anymore.
Do you plan on leaving eyeholes in teh hood? Or were you just going to have it go above your eyes?
FUUUUUUUUUU. I just found out about the POP Enel after taking a break from paying attention since I was broke. I'm no longer so, but nobody seems to have him in stock for preorder anymore ;o; I hadn't been going for any of the characters lately, but holy crap do I love him. I guess I'll have to hope to find him at a con and pay too much :/

Reyairia, did she have short black hair and glasses? I'm pretty sure it's Claire, she organizes the OP photoshoot every year. I think she was wearing a plaid shirt of Saturday if that helps any.
