Well I checked back to see how people were reacting hoping it was a bit less shitty. It might be a little, thanks Robby.

IT looks like they're going to go full-CG with this one, which hopefully goes better than the verson switching back and forth between CG and hand drawn. CG can look really good as an anime when it's used properly. I hope they can get the cell shading to work with it. Also, I'm glad as hell they're finally doing more of the story. After like 3 years or whatever passed since the first movie series, I was sure they'd given up on their promise to animate the entire series. I wonder how long this anime will go. You think they're gonna do seasons, or an OVA? Or more movies? I don't think the series did well enough as movies to merit more, really.

If the anime were coming back in 3 months we would've heard about it by now. But yeah, that's what's taking the Dragonball Kai slot once Kai ends.
But who knows. Maybe after THAT ends.

That's true about Guemon. I was wondering that. It never got brought up at all. Maybe he'll show up next chapter having fallen asleep right when he was gonna go help them.

Also, from what I've researched recently, Gwess, Versus, and Magent Magent are also correct. They're spelled differently from the Japanese names of the products (Versus is a weird case because his name is a line of Versace products, or something? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versus_(Versace) ヴェルサス).
Ermes seems to be a literal pronunciation of the brand name Hermes (Which is French; the H is not pronounced). This may be a thing similar to Kars where he spelled the name differently officially even though it's pronounced the same.
Magent Magent ends in "to" not "ta" like the Soul'd Out song. マジェント・マジェント VS マジェンタ マジェンタ.
Gwess uses the super-unusually spelling グェス rather than the brand Guess written as ゲス. The small ェ (e) after the グ (gu) indicates it's pronounced like the name "Manguel" apparently (Like this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alberto_Manguel ). It's a sound rarely used, but it is different.
Similarly, the name for Anasui is like that in Jojoveller, but "Annasui" is how the scanlations did it. They removed an N for the official version despite the names being spelled the same in Japanese.

As for Bruno Buchiarati, I still have no idea. His name's pronounced "Bucharatii" in Japanese so I think I prefer that spelling rather than "Buccellati".

His katakana name can't be romanized to Abdul. It has a kana that indicates a distinct "v" sound. It's "Avoduru" not "Abuduru". アヴドゥル

Many characters don't have actual real-world names. Like Straizo, the pillarmen, Rudol von Stroheim, Dio Brando, Vanilla Ice, Gray Fly, Mannish Boy, ZZ, Rubber Soul, Cameo, Oingo, Boingo… Like half the cast or more has either a first name or last name that's not a regular name/word.

This has also been written in many official things. It's pronounced distinctly different from the Arab name Abdul.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's name is spelled カリーム・アブドゥル＝ジャバー. It's different.

The problem with that is that tons of characters aren't much like their counterparts. Like vastly so. Especially with historical Takasugi VS Takasugi Shinsuke. But then there's all the characters in Gintama that are original and all that, even if Takasugi suddenly changed his entire philosophy.

That's actually really close to a lot of the lyrics that were in the OP/Eds. Though a bit cooler.
