      I wonder what made Mashima give her this broken ability with no limits to begin with. It has made a total joke of her character since she'll never be able to have proper fight. She sucks physically & she's always in these contrived predicaments where she's somehow unable to fight. She exists as nothing more than a plot device. This is what happens when you create an overpowered/unbeatable character. Also, can't she just shrink the wounds she got from Dimaria?

      It's probably what will happen, but it's bullshit anyway. She knows Brandish can do this (or should at least) and should've just killed her for good.

      Didn't read Bleach aside from a few chapters, but from what I've heard Bleach actually was good for quite a long time. However, at some point it became a clusterfuck then.

      That's how I remember it as well. But you can never know, as a kid you tend to pay attention to the fights a lot more than the actual story.

      Awesome finale, but the Lannisters just haven't felt threatening since Joffrey died, and right now it feels like anyone can just walk in and take the throne for themselves. I wish they would showcase King's Landing as a bit more of a threat, if the Iron Throne is going to be contested next season.

      Nah, Jinbe will definitely be sailing with the Straw Hats. He will be a part of the crew, not an underling. I'm fairly certain neither Luffy nor Jinbe would accept it any other way.

      Underling is an exagerration, but I really think they need someone to connect them all. I would be pretty dissapointed if we don't see or hear from these people until the inevitable war, and having Jinbei leave the crew once in a while would help with the crowding issue. Furthermore, I just can't see him as someone following orders. Robin is pretty easygoing with all these rash decisions Luffy makes, but Jinbei doesn't strike me as someone who would be that at all.

      With this chapter, the role of Jinbei in the crew is becoming pretty clear: strategist. None of the actual crew members are fitted to command such a huge fleet and one of the most prominent feature Jinbei displayed is establishing plans (+ one of its quirk is coming up with stupid names for said plans).

      This will probably also allow him to become a member without actually having to travel with the crew, which will help future arcs not become too crowded.

      @Mugiwara_no_Ice:

      Watch this rape thing getting so banalized that in 5, 10 years rape scenes of six year old boys will be the normal thing some people/media get angry about.

      Where's humanity going?

      This topic share similarities with what video games went and are going through at the moment. But the fact is that, in reality, violence is frowned upon now more than ever. Is banalization of such topics really a problem as long as it doesn't affect our perception of them in our own world?

      –-

      I won't deny that some use rape for shock value, which in turn affects attempts at using it for story progression negatively. But what if it actually furthers the plot in a way that wouldn't be possible without it? People may have their fears considering some of the previous unneccesary violence, but no one should prematurely bash a decision which consequences, or lack there of, hasn't been showed yet. Also this will be a classic example of media exposure increasing ratings..

      The scene was bound to happen - it is in Ramsay's nature, and it was well depicted. Hopefully it will give her some sort of character development, but the whole thing seemed more like a set-up for Theon. I suspect there will be an episode of subtle ramifications on her character shown and nothing more than that. But frankly Sansa being a puppet is getting tiresome, and if it somehow triggers a change in her mind set, it's a win in my book.

      You don't know that. You can't say that. We have nothing to compare both other than making the assumption that both are incredibly strong as being commanders of a yonkou.

      From what we have seen Shiryu is the crew's strongest swordsman, which indicates that he will be Zoro's opponent in the future. So far, Zoro has always fought the second strongest opponent of almost any given arc. This claim can be backed up by patterns already established by the manga. Now there is no way to know how much of a difference there is between the two, but Shiryu being the stronger one is more than likely.

      Want to answer to not be rude, but I have been away for a while, so forgive me if I repeat some stuff :<

      @P1nk:

      I think that's a good point. Like we saw with smiley. When a devil fruit user dies the essence of the fruit remains in the immediate area. Blackbeard with his gravity suck everything in, he can even contain people within himself along with items. So he could theoretically absorb that essence into himself as well.

      Exactly. There would be the issue of time, but maybe they have created some sort of device that can trap the essence for a while.

      @Maju:

      if that was the case,why show up at the war at all..just stay around the island,at the same island the supernova stayed,and suck every "essence" of fruit you get in that radius until you get the gura gura
      and if he needs to be close to do that..i think the fruit would have long left luffy's body when burgess returns to BB

      It seemed like he wanted to make a statement at the time more than anything. To me at least, that technique was what cemented his position as one of the top dogs.
      As for the second part, it's true that the essence might leave after a short while. But then again, it has been 3 years. Them creating a device of some sorts to do the job is not far fetched.

      @King:

      One could argue that if Luffy had noticed Doula wasn't defeated sooner, he would have won the fight by now.

      Maybe so, but after recieving a powerful blow you often seen the victim linger until he/she is in danger again. Even if Luffy had attacked immidiately, which we aren't even sure he was able to, Doffy had plenty of time to think and act on it. But there are too many unknown factors to know for sure. Maybe Doffy needed the time to mend his wounds or maybe Luffy would've run out of steam regardless of Burgess interfering or not.

      It was a nice chapter, defeating Dofla sure is a team effort.

      So this confirms that Doffy is stronger than Luffy, and I really can't think of an argument proving otherwise. But I also think help from other people is a better way to defeat the antagonists than being protected by plot armor. I hope Sabo/Burgess and Dofla/gladiators will get an equal amount of screen time, but I doubt that will be the case. And we finally got the G4 penalty, although it doesn't seem as restrictful as the previous ones. The way he described it made it seem like he could still fight with his regular abilities, but I guess haki is essential to fight any enemy from now on.

      The world setting is different. There are a lot of character deaths off-panel, which the other characters don't seem to mind. To give a bit of an extreme example, a lot of characters in Game of Thrones can be considered good, even though most of their actions would be morally questionable if they lived in our world.

      GGGhrhrrkkkklllllLHHHHH

      Doflamingo: I get it! You're bending all over the place like a long-armsman…because you're controlling your rubberness with haki!!!!!

      FFFRRRRRHGGGHHHHH

      Yeah, not a fan of that. I'm also not quite sure what the point of Doffys "awakening" is; of course, on a meta-level its supposed to introduce the idea of DF-bankais but did Doffy really do anything he could'nt have done otherwise? His ability is to secrete limitless amounts of string, so when he blocks Luffys punch, why does it have to be pillars of reiatsu shrapnel- sorry, strings from the ground, instead of his own strings? Same when he throws a bunch of white reiatsu shrapnel tendrils at Luffy, it seems his Bankai is just MOAR SHRAPNEL.

      I liked the concept of DF mastering back when it meant being really creative with the limited stuff you'd been given; If you're capable of becoming/making sand you don't just turn your arm into a big sand-hammer and thats it, you whip your sand into sandstorms, utilize its inherent dryness, or erode through stuff instantly with blades of fast-moving sand. If you're rubber, you use your elastic belly to store water, or snap a regular punch like a rubber band to turn it into a rapid punch, or pump blood more rapidly. Now, DF mastery is just being really strong and unlocking tier 2 of the DF skill tree.

      Sigh. Well, with this, we can at least stop arguing that DF abilities should be internally consistent. You can just have an Awakening and poof, heres a whole new set of rules to play by.

      There have been so many ridiculous powers already.. Law and Doffy keeps bringing out techniques worthy of being categorized as different powers entirely, and previously there have been Wapol, Kaku, Kuma and many others. As long as awakening has the same effect on respectively each of the three categories of devil fruits established, it is a nice way of expanding their powers without the need of moving away from what they were originally meant to allow the user.

Although us as readers knew he wanted to but didn't know it existed lol he would wreck their entire arena if he joined and make light work of everyone there. Except Sabo. THIS right here was prime example of plot convenience but missed opportunity imagine Zoro versus Sabo lol

      Indeed that would be awesome. Although I suspect they would end up joining forces, and Zoro would probably end up ruining his cover someway or another. I wonder however if Sabo as a logia could leave the birdcage. Lots of unanswered questions about that technique..

      I thought the same when he defeated Pica. I miss the fights where his endurance would be showcased more than anything, and hopefully that will happen again in Wano or Zou. And the generous time limit makes it feel less threatening, so I honestly wouldn't mind it just being cut so the fight can get more attention.

      True, but personally I don't believe Zoro can do it 😉 I think Law's fruit makes him the best candidate, but it doesn't seem like even he is capable. As Razh has previosuly written, the cage can also have gotten weaker. If that's the case, Zoro being able to cut it would make sense.

      Not to mention he'll get caught up in it too lol

      Can't he just refuse to summon a meteor then? Seems to me like the reason is either incapability or the theory people have about him waiting for the climax to have a better argument against the Shichibukai.

      Luffy's Haki has been overpowered by both Bellamy and Hody. And he himself has said how his Haki is not strong enough.

      One would assume that the actual power of the attack would mean equally as much, and Haki is just a way of hardening yourself after all. I hardly doubt you can tell if someone's Haki is inferior by just looking. Unless it's stated somewhere, I can't remember.

      Do not make claims about me and not explain yourself.

      You see this? You use an one-liner argument, but when I do the same, suddenly it’s wrong.

      @Horizon:

      Franky was fighting him with some extra cola he had and Franky only used strong hammer the entire fight and he refused to dodge any of Senor's attacks.

      And Pink also used the same move the entire time. You cannot deny this, and if you do it is a clear bias on your part..

      @Horizon:

      Who cares what Senor Pink did or didn't do? The point was that Franky was not fighting to the best of his ability. Even Senor's best attack, which Franky let him land, did not defeat him when he was already beaten up and weakened.

      Again.. I countered your argument with the same kind. But suddenly it becomes invalid because it doesn’t go in your favor.

      @Horizon:

      I like how you claim that Law having heart attacks meant nothing when it incapacitated him to a point where he couldn't move, made him cough up lots of blood, and nearly made him lose consciousness. Stop.

      @Horizon:

      Smoker threw the match, and he was not "shitted" on even considering that fact.

      Respectively something not shown in the manga and pure speculation. Smoker may have been trying to win from the start, which would make the most sense, but resorted to another tactic, when he realized Vergo’s superiority.

      Again you used the same type of arguments you claim to be invalid..

      I don’t agree with most of your reply, but as I wrote, this is off-topic, so I’m just going to stop.
