I really hope Dr. Stone gets a healthy and steady following, the chapters are incredibly fun and I love the whole science worship of it all
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: Fairy Tail Discussion III
IMO, the major problem with Fairy Tail is that it keeps bending its own rules, if it ever made ones i mean.
There's no sense of tension when stuff can happen literally out of nowhere and things are retconned because. For example, this chapter, Sting and Rogue's story was changed because "btw, we dragons can change memories lol".
That is why Igneels "death" means literally nothing to me, actually, that is why most of plot points which are supposed to be meaningful dont mean nothing to me cause at some point in the future they can just… change

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
I'm sorry but you must have not read that last line in my post
Gremmy was able to muster enough reiatsu to create the space pocket, from there on, the space pocket is a different entity than Gremmy, just like the Meteor, from there on, the space pocket is just a space pocket, not a reiatsu powered space pocket, Gremmy put Kenpachi in the exact same situation he would be in if he decided to go to space on his own.
As I said, if we sent Kenpachi into space without a space suit, how can he "cut his way out"? He cut the meteor cause it is a physical thing, a spcae pocket is literally nothing, there was nothing for him to cut, including reiatsu, because the extent to which the Space pocket is related to Gremmy's reiatsu is just its creation.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
thats the problem with Gremmy, he was presented as limiteless in terms of power. The same was said about Aizen, and the same will be said about Bach or w/e he is called. Bach not only has the power of seeing the future, he can disable whatever he sees in it, not needing to develop a counter, he just sees it and it goes puff.
Anyway, going back to the discussion.
I'll leave aside the things that Gremmy didn't do since you will counter argument with "he didn't have reiatsu to create them"
Gremmy doesnt attack things with reiatsu, he creates things with reiatsu which then would attack/affect Kenpachi. that is why i think the whole "he didnt have enough reiatsu" argument is null.
If for some reason Kenpachi was sent in a rocket to outer space, what would happen to him? he would be ripped to pieces cause his reiatsu can't protect him from the very workings of physics.Gremmy created that situation with his mind
http://www.mangareader.net/bleach/578/9
and how did Kenpachi get out of that situation?
http://www.mangareader.net/bleach/578/14
Because he is a monster… wut?
Gremmy used his own reiatsu to create space around Kenpachi, from there on, Kenpachi reiatsu was in no contact with Gremmy.EDIT: sorry, used to reddit post layout

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Well then, let's try to reset our discussion then.
Don't think I'm just bashing Bleach, I would love if you could make me see sense in some scenes. But right now, i just don't agree with you.
Let's boil the whole discussion to how you and most people see reiatsu.
Most people say reiatsu defends you physically, like your scans show, they stop you from being slashed and pierced by people with lower reiatsus.
You say that reiatsu goes beyond that and that it actually protects you from general abilities right?
Let's start from here, as I said, I want to make sense out of Bleach, you seem sure about what you think so maybe I'm missing something, but your scans arent doing it for now.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Louis, Purple Hermit is being rude to you, but you're being rude to me, thats my point. Antagonizing =/= insulting
I like stuff about Bleach, for example, i love the Wrestler design and power, i love the sheath for the Super sharp katana. I think there was a lot of potential to the fat dude's power.
I'm not bashing Bleach just because. please, stop treating EVERYONE, especially Razh (who posts way more than me) who are actually presenting discussable points.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
I'll repeat, stop antagonizing everyone, there are people who are not being rude to you. I barely post and you answer to me rudely the same way you answer others.
The scans you posted just show that reiatsu allows you to not be physically injured by someone of lower reiatsu, youre inserting meaning that just isn't there sorry. BTW, if things worked out as you're describing them, then every battle is already decided by who has the greatest reiatsu, because any kind of attack from others would just be ineffective
.If you want to go deeper into your theory then think: Why was Kenpachi injured in the first place? Gremmy was able to injure him despite lower reiatsu? why could he injure him but not kill him? is there threshold of reiatsu difference from which you can injure but not kill? as i said, you're trying to make rules out of something that is smudged out of anyone's understanding.
I have a higher reiatsu than you. can you injure me? if yes how much? what kind of injuries can you do to me?
also, about previous quotes, dont use the personal remarks Razh made and ignore the point itself.Oh well, I'll just go back to lurking and skipping comments from people like you who cannot compromise in a discussion
EDIT: slow internet fucked my paragraphs

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Then explain me why couldnt he imagine himself x1000 times before the invasion and throw millions of meteors onto them?
The problem people have with Gremmy isnt what he did, its what he DIDNT do.
I understand what you're trying to say, i really do, but you're reading into it too much, you're taking meaning that just isn't there.
And stop antagonizing everyone who's trying to have a normal discussion with you.

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
Louis, although I agree with you that APForums can easily start bashing a series just for the sake of it, if you ask for constructed criticism they can give you viable arguments, as shown by Razh, outside of the "no sense of danger" point (with which i agree but to each their own), all of his points are OBJECTIVE, not subjective.
Your arguments on the other hand are founded on something that the manga never made reference to.
Looking at the scans that you yourself posted, you can't take the conclusion that Gremmy's power didnt affect Kenpachi because of reiatsu level, you just cant, thats 100% made up by you. By your scans, reiatsu can give your body a physical edge over someone's lower reiatsu'd, you can't be cut/pierced by them. thats all Bleach has ever shown and said. Thats why your Gremmy argument is bollocks.
but EVEN IF what you said was true, then why did he need 2 Gremmy's for extra imagination? it doesnt work like that, even in manga logic it makes no sense. why wasn't the Quincy attack based on him imagining a 1000 volcanos erupting from the ground and destroying soul society like that?
Look, everyone here loved the premise of Bleach, and that is why most of us are still reading, because nostalgia, but nowadays, Bleach is nothing more than vague power explanations and big energy blasts, every power is now drawn as a white blast or a black smudge.
It's okay to smudge the lines of what defines a power, I mean, this isnt rocket science, but Kubo has smudged the lines so much that you cant make out whats what anymore.
I like reading Bleach, its fast and entretaining, but I certainly do not respect it as a good manga, its even more senseless than Fairy Tail, and thats saying A LOT.
Bleach is an hamburger, feels good to pick it up and eat, but you know that it is not good, and the more you think about it, the more you realise you shouldnt have read it

RE: Manga, Anime and Side-Dishes: Status of completion and cannon
I honestly don't mind endings that i dont like, if everything ended the way i would like/expect it would be no fun, so, all I'm looking for is closure, if Claymore has that, then I'll go through with reading it.
So it seems my fear of Yuyu had no reason to be, from what i read it seemed like the ending was really rushed/unfinished, but again, if it was just "lazy" then I'm cool with that, as long as i don't get frustrated with it not following through with its plotlines (the reason I'll probably won't read Cage of Eden, even though it seems just my kind of story, everywhere i read, people say the ending answers nothing, it feels like a "Lost" ending so yeah…)
So far I will definitely get Kenshin/Yuyu/akira/Monster/Claymore manga, watch Hellsing/Geass.
Again thank you for answering my questions, i know they may seem obvious to whoever read the manga but from my perspective its hard to know without spoiling myself.
