But yeah, I voted for Bellamy. At first, I thought Krieg, but then I read all of the posts so far and Bellamy seems more likely to me now. He could tie in a Doflamingo appearance, and I'd say Luffy owning him in one punch after talking all that sh*t in front of all those people would be pretty devastating to him and his huge ego. Not to mention his defeat made Doflamingo lose any last shred of respect he might have had for him. So yeah, Luffy ruined his life. Meanwhile, with Krieg, it was really Mihawk who ruined his crew and his life, not Luffy so much.

Of course, I'm talking as if Luffy is the only one in the crew who could be the culprit of ruining Dupal's life, which isn't the case, so it could easily end up being no one we know or could have thought of.

Don't let little kids read this chapter. Luffy is making steroid use look cool. =(

Odz foot was as close to Usopp as his knee was to zoro, so luffy might have interecepted him mid-air and left him somewhere safe. Zoro might be trying to carry the injured crewmates to safety in the background before the sun comes up.

Nah, I'm not sure about that. There's a panel that shows Zoro's owned-and-bleeding face. There are no panels that show a harmed Usopp or Nami before Luffy saves them.

I mentioned this in the spoiler thread, but it's also possible that absalom turns invisible with the same mechanism that shadows are stolen.

Both invisibility and not having a shadow could be caused by altering the way light acts on a body.

Considering Moria has a window pattern covering his gargantuan body, he could very well have a light altering devil fruit that could cause these and allow absalom to have a completely unrelated DF or swim.

Oh, and doesn't it seem that perona has a logia of some sort? Those ghosts seemed to coalesce into her body.

Well, actually, I should reword what I said a bit. I wouldn't MIND a female Shichibukai. As has been said, there have been plenty of female pirates in history. What I WOULD mind is a female Shichibukai becoming a sex object, a victim of fanservice, things I said in my last post. So as long as that doesn't happen to an extreme, like Kalifa, I would be perfectly fine with a female Shichibukai.

I am actually writing a fanfic with a female Shichibukai in it…. lol. And I made her almost impossibly powerful. >.<

Despite that, after reading some of the posts in this thread, I have decided that I really wouldn't like to see one actually appear in OP. The way Oda-sama's been going lately, a female Shichibukai would indeed fall victim to more unnecessary fanservice. I can't say I COMPLAINED about Nami getting pulled out of the tub like that (lol), but it WAS a bit much. I wouldn't want a female Shichibukai to be introduced just for her to become another sex object like Kalifa did.

I would like to own them just for the hell of it, but I don't have the money right now.

3.) What about unknown people not included? - The government didn't even know about Blackbeard, who is obviously a serious threat to him. He was good at hiding despite the fact that he's strong. There's also people like Luffy, who are underestimated and thought to be weaklings.

4.) How long has Whitebeard had this title? - One would think he got it when Gold Roger died, which is probably the case, but if that's true, how do we know he's still as strong as he was? Since we don't know, we also do not know how strong he is.

5.) How strong is "World's Strongest"? - Calling someone "World's Strongest" says nothing about HOW strong he is. For all we know, he's %0.0001 stronger than Shanks, but is the world's strongest because of that tiny difference. You can't use the arguement "He's the world's strongest!" because we don't know how strong that is.

I could go on, but that covers most of it.

Who gave him the title "World's Strongest Man"? Oda did, through several times through different characters. Being stated in the manga makes it canon. Whether it may hold true or not, or whether or not Oda is planning to change this fact in the near future, has no relevance to my argument whatsoever. Actually, I'm not trying to make an argument. I am simply stating what has I have read in the manga and what has been stated. I could care less whether Blackbeard would win right now or not. Because the fact is, they're not FIGHTING right now, are they?

What determines strength? Who knows? Better yet, who cares? This question has, yet again, no relevance to my "argument". But if I were forced to answer this question…. If I remember correctly, it was also stated previously in the manga that Whitebeard is currently the man most likely to become Pirate King. Unless my memory is making this up (which COULD actually be the case XD), that is what I would say is meant by him being the "strongest". Yes, I know my answer doesn't really make sense. Again, I am just stating things that have been said in the manga. However... that was said a pretty long time ago, so it may hold no meaning anymore. We'll see, I guess.

ANYWAY, my end point is, barring all speculation and what may be changed soon and other people's opinions, the LAST character in the manga to have been titled "the strongest man in the world" is Whitebeard. Regardless of recent events that may change this, or how questionable this statement is, I still see it has canon and I PERSONALLY will maintain this fact. Hell, if you wanna know the truth, I can see Blackbeard beating him. But he hasn't yet, has he? So my view stands true in my eyes.

Look, all I know is that it has been stated several times throughout the manga that Whitebeard is CURRENTLY the strongest man in the world. Until it is stated or shown otherwise, as in, until I see Whitebeard fight and lose, I will maintain that canon fact. Whitebeard is still strongest.

My guess is that Brooke will join their crew for the time being and help them through the Triangle, and he'll probably want to stay with them, but as they leave the Florian Triangle area, his body will become an ordinary (but well-dressed), lifeless skeleton. Then they'll go back into the Triangle real quick where he is alive once more and then they'll have to part ways…..

I don't know about Doflamingo being overpowered…. I don't quite remember, but was it ever shown that he can control more than one person at a time? If not, therein lies his weakness....

And as for BB having to take hits, he doesn't HAVE to. It's a choice of his to take the hit and absorb it that way, but if he wanted to avoid the attack like any other Logia, he could.

I just had a weird thought…What if Garp has captured Usopp, and makes him join up with Luffy under the threat of being arrested? That's an interesting an idea. It's unlikely, I'd say, but an interesting idea nonetheless.

Now, the next chapter is either gonna leave us hanging with what happens to the crew against Garp and go back to the Ace/Blackbeard situation, or it's gonna stay with the Straw Hats and finally resolve the whole Usopp thing. Personally, I'm hoping for the latter….. I am kind of sick of waiting for Usopp to grow some balls and rejoin the crew as HIMSELF and not SOGEKING_. :getlost:_

The difference here is that Tekkai makes your body LIKE steel whereas Mr. 1 WAS steel. It doesn't compare him to the CP9 at all. It's not a skill he used; it's the body that eating a Devil Fruit gave him. That's it.

and finally… Merman Island. i dunno if they're gonna be exactly welcome there.... i mean, obviously, not every merman is a bad guy (Tom being an example), but i am thinking a majority of them are racists like Arlong and his men were, and the Mugiwaras might have a tough time there.... and of course, theyre just gonna HAVE to run into Jenbei. hehehehe... i can't wait.

Usopp is pissing me off more and more every chapter he appears in.... he needs to stop being a GODDAMN BAKA and just rejoin the crew. actually... i have an image of how it's gonna be. they're just about to leave, and Usopp runs up to the ship, and then a scene will unfold a lot like how Usopp first joined the crew.... Usopp will be trying to explain himself or something, or explain why he can't rejoin, and Luffy will be like "what the hell are you talking about? hurry up and get on the ship." yeah... thats the way i see it happening.

oh and i think it's cool Sogeking got 30 mil. that is Luffy's original bounty.

Reread the chapter. After Aoikiji freezes him with Ice Time Capsule, on page 13, he finishes him off with Ice Time on page 15.

He talks about the guy like he's dead. Both after he froze him, in the past, and now. Ice Time Capsule or not, what's the likelihood of Aoikiji freezing him, somehow having him moved from the burning husk that is Ohara (which was searched by the Marines afterwards for survivors), dethawing him, and sending him on his merry way? If Saul is alive, it cheapens the Ohara sacrifice. And besides, if he was alive, don't you think he'd have made it his business to contact Robin by now?

Saul is probably dead. Aoikiji wouldn't need to respect the wishes of a living man. Vague feelings aren't enough to keep this dude alive.

i totally agree with you. not only do i think Saul is dead, i rather hope he is. i really don't like it when important characters seemingly get killed off and actually survive when they really shouldn't have. good examples: Pell and Crocodile. especially Pell…...
