Jump Fiesta in December. We only had a 5 month hiatus this time good on Togashi.
Perhaps we could change the thread's name now.

Actually they don't even adress that in Episode of Alabasta.
I just checked, it was bothering me not knowing if it was a constructed memory or not.
No, they really say it. About science, in the anime, not in that movie. In the manga too, of course.
I think Bonney may be mentioned in Wano, due to that connection to Whitebeard, but she'll actually play her part during the Blackbeard arc/saga.
Sure, by that time most of Luffy's allies will show up again but the story still needs a fresher face with new stakes on the table.Urouge may also play his part then, imo. Oda showed him when he presented Kaido but it looked like that relationship ended there, unlike with Kidd, Hawkins and Apoo.
Oda "hypes" a bit of Urouge connecting him with Big Mom and Kaidou but only reveals his trump card, whatever it may be, during the final stretch with Blackbeard.Plus, if he uses all of the supernovas in Wano it kinda feels like putting all his eggs in the same basket, know what I mean?
Wait, what if Bonney is the legend Oda mentioned in Jump Festa?
It'll probably return next year. Good thing for Super, maybe it can fix its schedule. Crossing my fingers that we'll see Tate and Onishi come back. Fukuzawa was apparantly hyping this year for OP, so I'm excited!
Let's hope they don't go to Kitaro's new series.
Thanks for asking my thoughts!
I tweeted my basic thoughts and livestreamed about it for an hour and a half. (Not archived)Highly suggest you follow me on those mediums if you don't already.
What is your opinion about Oda's recent interview about Wano starting in 1 or 2 years?
Thanks, Crossword. I was half-sleep though, I read it as "Katsumi" :(
Looks like I was right about Inoue, great to see that he and Koizumi are back
Koizumi too? When?!
Oh tell me how's that useful to you. I'm sure knowing a characters birthday is very relevant to the story unlike someone who fought Urouge. Birthdays are more relevant. yep yep
Yes, you're right, birthdays are not so relevant, and probably only serve to "fill" questions in SBS, but who cares? It's not like Snack has not appeared in the story because of birthdays or whatsoever, Oda will show him/her when time comes, let's be patient, shall we?
Things I really loved about this chapter:
- We get a perfect example of what Akainu must have done even when he was struck back at Marineford.
Wow, I had not thought about that! You're right!
It also serves to show that admirals, and Yonkous maybe more stronger than what we or I imagined, because what Katakuri is doing probably is something that Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji are able of doing.
Well, we also have yet to see what they did to stop a Whitebeard's attack:http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101204160832/onepiece/images/1/17/The_Admirals_use_Haki.png

This current Golden Cup batch of one-shots have been very mediocre, but I kinda liked Mahou Shounen X from this week's WSJ.
Tadaichi Nakama's been doing one shots for a while now.
Moving to Kodansha would probably have landed this guy a serialization already.He's in dire need for a direction by a capable editor though.
I've read it, and you're right, I think it was a really good one-shot, but it had a lot of dialogue, and its structure was kind of weird, he really needs an editor.
I also liked Raven Bukai-or something, I think those were the best one-shots. Didn't you like Raven Bukai?
Somebody said that there was going to be a change in the scenes of the opening this chapter…
Was this true? Anyone can confirm? Thx ;D
@Count:
I get what you mean, especially when you use the Naruto analogy. But we're in an ocean where the Yonko are monopolizing everything. So there isn't really room for big names. And the thing about these types of action-adventure shonen narratives is that it's easier to build-up future relevant characters by putting them in a few generations instead of in-between ones, because that needs more spread out build-up and foresight to be worked in the story.
It's weird, but not something big enough to feel too awkward about because these are the only characters that really matter in the plot.
I think Rockstar is a good example of this, of how previous generations did not have much of a choice. It is exactly like Law said, you defeat yonkou or you ally to yonkou…
So far, nobody has defeated a yonkou (but Blackbeard), so if that's the case, then everybody before Luffy's generation has been defeated and killed by yonkou, or have allied to yonkou. That's why I mention Rockstar, he allied to Shanks, the same with Ace. Oda doesn't have to mention us every pirate before Luffy, but one you see pirates that are allied to whatever Yonkou, you may know that some of them are from previous generations than Luffy. (Many surely had been killed).
Plus, if we are getting focus on Luffy's generation is because it still hasn't happened what happened before or to illustrate what had happened before. Drake joint Kaidou (ally), Kidd was defeated by Kaidou, it is a common thing in the New World.
Now you can listen to the new OST ( Preview ) :
Number #6 is GERMA 66 OST … very good one !!!
Where do I click? I don't know where :(
@Count:
Shanks is the only male character that has been seen having a healthy friendly relationship with Makino besides Woop Slap (which would have no point and he's too old), Luffy (impossible), Garp (lol), and Ace (extremely unlikely due to being like a little brother to her and searching for Blackbeard for And that's assuming the baby was even conceived before the timeskip). Shanks is a humble guy that likes to go to random islands and party around. And he was willing to entrust Roger's straw hat to a random kid. He can knock up a babe he likes whenever he wants regardless of his Yonko status making him an important guy. There are no plot holes here.
Simple conjecture and narrative comprehension easily proves that it's Shanks' kid. The baby's role is probably for being the next owner of the straw hat in the epilogue of the series once Luffy passes it down after becoming Pirate King. I doubt the Marines are going to do anything to antagonize another Yonko during the timeskip when they're at least going to spend months finding a new HQ and rebuilding their forces (including two vacant admiral positions)
I have another theory about that, I think the baby could be Sabo's son xD Sabo remembered his past two years ago, and then goes to East Blue to meet Makino…
Plus, we also see in a coverstory, a bandit wearing a hat that resembles Sabo's hat. Or could have been another revolutionary? Dragon?
I'd love to make more, unfortunately I'm having trouble finding old RAW files.
Why don't you use HorribleSubs/Crunchyroll videos?
Two things I'm wondering about that I'm hoping you guys will be able to answer:
What happened to Kenji Kuroyanagi, Katsumi Ishizuka, Naoki Tate and Ryo Onishi? They were among some of my favourite animators on the show, but I haven't seen them work on it since atleast fishman island/punk hazard, which deeply saddens me. Are they working on Tiger Mask W or some other Toei show? I know TMW is ending this summer, and I'm wondering if there's any chance some of them will return to One Piece.
I don't know about the others, but Naoki Tate is working on Dragon Ball Super.
I was wondering, how is this program/site/whatever called?

Does it even exist anymore?
Yes, try here: [http://animatorscorner.com/

Ok, I'll like it to continue this discussion, but with the guy that banned him, was it you? Or who was the one?

@Monkey:
You aren't a jury, that you seem to have missed what this sub-section has been staring at for quite some time is not ours or the staff's problem.
I'm not a jury, but I can't take it for granted just because you say so.
@Steven:
Oh hey there look at this.
Again, I think he was misinterpreted.
Let's see his whole post:
Paedophilia will probably become in the mainstream soon. Hell it's disgusting, but looks like all these pedo's are gonna start "coming out".
Another sexual orientation or seuxality view? Let's add P to LGBTQ
Why don't you read the bolded part?
Besides, when he said "let's add P", he did not say it because he wanted it to happen, but because he was against it. Thus, he was misinterpreted.
I think SuburbanErrorist was talking about it, and how he is totally against that movement. Looks like when he was talking about the Milo guy, he wanted to talk about this issue and express that he's totally against this "movement". Again, he was misinterpreted, he did not support it, but he was against it.
@Monkey:
This was a long time coming frankly, your friend has a long history of shitting on trans people here. Among other insults.
Could you prove it?
Most likely he was banned for equating transgender people to pedophiles. Which has very little to do with opinions.
Was that the reason? Because in that case, you should prove that he said that and that the rules explicitly say something about it. Again, I think he was misinterpreted, and mods overreacted.
SuburbanErrorist got banned?
I don't think rules say anything about ban users because of opinions. Instead, it says: Don't be an ass/jerk. Be respective of other member's opinions.
I, as a fellow japanese learning as him, I think he contributes a lot in that matter, besides, I think he was misinterpreted and mod's overrreacted, even though I don't see any violation of AP Rules, I think that a warning would have been enough.
I hope he can be allowed to take part on AP, at least on what's concerning japanese learning.
Love this animtion. I watched NHK animation. But NHK gave up making full series animation of it.
OTL
What are you talking about?
One Piece Film Gold + One Piece: Heart of Gold Blu-Ray Ad
It is not one piece film gold bluray, but one piece's silver mine arc bluray.
Got beaten to it! Oh well I had:
I've been cheated!
I happened to swallow watermelon seeds, but in my stomach.. Nothing is growing!
Well, I don't want to make this a thread to discuss about japanese grammar, if you want we can continue on private messages, but…
もしかして is "if...", and -te form plus "mo" means "even..." so, it's "even if..."
Take your time, dude.
You have done so many things for us, and we can't even do a thing.Anw, can someone translate Oda's message?
It says:
I-I was deceived!!
Even if you swallow watermelon seeds, they can't grow in your stomach?!
Is Volume 83 going to start?!
Not yet but soon enough Japan will announce the release date.
16 characters of thx!
Do we know when this will be released on bluray?
That… actually sounds feasable. Though when is the Lion zoan going to come into play if not as one of Kaido's top subordiantes?
Could be as one of Blackbeard's top subordinates, they're after DFs after all.
@Count:
Sengoku was an admiral during Chapter/Episode Zero, which took place during Roger's execution. Garp was even seen refusing a promotion to Admiral from Kong (who was the current Fleet Admiral) during that time. Also, I believe that Zephyr, the villain from One Piece: Film Z, is canon and should have been an Admiral around that time as well.
If I'm not mistaken, it's something like this:
36 years ago:
Zephyr was an admiral, probably Sengoku too, and the other was Kong or somebody else.
32 years ago:
Zephyr resigned to being admiral, so, maybe…
Sengoku, Kong and somebody else were admirals.
24 years ago: (Roger's execution)
Admirals:
Sengoku
Vacant
Somebody else
And Kong was the Fleet Admiral.
2 years ago:
Admirals: Kizaru, Akainu and Aokiji
Fleet Admiral: Sengoku
Now:
Admirals: Fujitora, Kizaru and Rokugyuu
Fleet Admiral: Akainu
So, even if we consider Zephyr as canon, at least, we don't know an admiral, do you think Oda will show us him sometime?
I mean, we don't know an admiral if the vacant post was the one that used to have Kong (24 years ago), if not, there was another one we don't know about him.
Do you know any theories about former admirals?
I mean, it's strange that we don't know anything about the previous admirals before Aokiji, Akainu and Kizaru, but Sengoku. Kong was a fleet admiral, Garp never became an admiral, and Aokiji, Akainu nor Kizaru were admirals in that age, so what about the other two?
I think we'll see them in the future, what do you think?
Is there anyway for us to know if a new series like Yakusoku no Neverland has started to being ranked?
@Monkey:
Hit your head against a wall a bunch, develop memory problems, and hyper focus on the present. And VIOLA, you will see how Big Mom and Kaidou are the arch-villains of all time.
Even cooler, next time we get closer to a really powerful thing or person you will immediately forget Big Mom and Kaidou and declare that next person to be the arch-villain of all time.
So, what do you think that's going to happen in Totland? Big Mom gets defeated in this arc or later?
So what do you think?
I think that's almost impossible, the only way is to remake those 206 episodes, and the only way is waiting a kinda One Piece Kai, or something.
It's obvious that zoomed look worse than the original, because what you're doing is an upscale.
Let's just enjoy SD and HD episodes, without thinking a lot about that.
10 minutes. 20 minutes was the time Luffy was in G4.
How do we know this? The 20 minutes thing.
Dragon Ball didn't have an overarching plot. Most of the arcs were pretty much standalone.
For One Piece, you can't jump in to the very start of the timeskip and expect to get an understanding of the story built up from the past 516 episodes. I never understood the notion of splitting an adaptation in half as if the previous series and the newer one are two separate entities.
Also, he hasn't really said a valid reason for that change.
Wait, no intro?
I hope next episode we see a new one, because I'm already tired of the current (possibly previous) intro.
Actually, by Oda's words, the original story was going to be twice as long if he didn't merge them.
Yeah, I said in an older post that I don't know what to think, I know that was the reason, but still…Well, if Oda doesn't shows us some arcs, I hope we later see them, let it be in movies, anime or manga specials after the end of One Piece.
@sandman:
Thank you! Btw, do you know what Oda said in his interview on TV?
I'd say yes! Though I love the dwarves and Green Bit!
Well, I loved it too, but I can't stop thinking how it would have been if Green Bit and Dressrosa were different arcs. You know, we could have seen a lot more of Green Bit, and not just a scene with the forest, and the dwarves below.Maybe that way, it could have been shorter, and perhaps a good saga apart from Dressrosa, which would have been shorter and more epic.
Holy shit, that is not good. Scientists have found out that if you don't get at least 6 hours a sleep a day then your genes start shutting down.
What does that mean?
