      My biggest problem is having a retail job tends to screw up your diet. Its damn near impossible to get 3 good meals a day especially with my weird shifts where I don't actually get a break and I don't eat till I get home which is really late after having to drive half an hour back home. Plus all that's around my workplace is either really expensive or really bad for you. I want to try bringing my own lunch but I can't take anything parishable because then it will go bad before I even get to it.

      You mention that you can't have anything perishable at work? I am curious how long you go between meals. Because a lot of food can stay in a little plastic baggie for several hours before going sour.

      You might have already considered this, but taking a lunch box packed with a sandwich and a fruit is a good way to go. Bananas are really nice because they come in their own little package.
      My lunch sandwiches tend to consist of whole wheat bread, avocado, tomato, cucumber, spinach, vegan mayo and any other veggies I can get a hold of. Sometimes I make whole wheat pasta and throw a little of that in with steamed frozen veggies ( whatever comes in the packages) and a heap of pasta sauce. Brown rice and veggies is another good option. I find that these meals don't quickly perish. When I make lunch it's usually in the morning, and I eat it about 5-6 hours later at school, sometimes even later if I forget.
      While the instant dinners are a convenient option, they aren't the most healthy because of the amount of sodium. But if that's all you can get, then I wouldn't worry too much. Try to balance it out by drinking plenty of water to flush the salt away.

      saying that you dont have enough time to jog is just complete bullshit to me, walk 5min? comparing to 12 to 15 hours? what do you do in the rest of the time? sitting down playing comp? lol, thats just another example of lazy. Jogging 20mins doesn't takes you alot time, It's just that people are lazy, and think like it's a big deal to jog ,So they find every kind of excues to save their ass from exercising lol. For example : Wooooah im going to do exercising, its the end of the world, I'd rather stay home and sleep!) and thats how people get fat. Most of the people will always think that they can lose weight some other time or doing some eating less thing without doing exercise is just stupid, exercise is good for health and not just for diet.

      Whatever you say. You're not going to budge. However, I'll end with this:
      Yes, 20 minutes is not a lot of time out of my day which can range from 15-18 hours. However, I do a lot of walking from home to school and everywhere in between. The free-time I have is spent doing homework. I assume may others on this site also work around busy schedule, so it's not just being lazy, it really is a lack of time and energy. Especially if you are like me, and have chronic fatigue
      Also, I threw out my hip because I jogged, so running is painful and I'll avoid it unless it is necessary. Not everyone is physically capable of running, it can really take a toll on your joints. You are under the assumption that me, and Sporkbot as well, do not take time to exercise. Jogging is just one form of cardio. here are loads of other cardio activities that can be done (elliptical, jump-rope, stair climbing, aerobics..etc.) besides running. I prefer weight lifting anyway.

      I also don't feel that just 20 minutes a day of running is very effective. Most sources recommend 30-60 minutes of cardio/weights/etc 3-4 times a week in order to get in shape.

      Humans can't survive off of just fruits, perhaps for a short time, but not as a lifestyle. There would be a serious amount of nutritional deficiencies if someone consumed only fruit as you say.

      lol its so easy to lose weight, i've lost 8kg now in 1 month and yet I'm gonna lose some more then gain more muscles, its just about your heart and the will . You can stay fat and look sucks forever or start doing exercise, for people who only blame why themselves are fat ..are dumb, its just that you're lazy, its not about not enough time, its just ..plain lazy.. control yourself not to eat so much , you may eat fatty food but thats the case if you want to be fat lol.

      well, its not so hard on losing weight, what i did for the past month, was Jog 20mins aday, and 20 star jumps ,thats all i did, Eat Hella lot for Breakfast, Lunch i eat 2 apples and Dinner 2 apples, thats how i end my day. After eating a large meal, don't drink water in 5 to 10mins but if its really urgent then you may,but if you can control, try your best.(For the best is wait 30mins before you drink water lol) cause if you do drink water in that mean time, the acid that goes to digest your food ,will have a slower attempt plus Sit still for awhile, dont move around. I'm 176cm, I was 84kg last month and now im 76kg. Seriously . It's not so difficult. get your ass out of the chair and jog for 20mins a day, you can jog 10mins first then walk for 3 to 4mins then jog another 10mins, go back home, Do 20 star jumps then relax abit (dont take shower yet cause its bad for health, wait until your heart pumps properly before showering)
      Apple have no calories and have Diet Fiber so its a really good choice for Dinner, Lunch is still your decision, but its just me that wanted to eat it for lunch aswell. at about 5 pm i eat 2 apples, and wait for an hour or 2 , then I'll start Jogging at 7pm or something (Yet Jogging in the morning is better tho but I don't have that strong will to Jog in the morning xD)

      Sorry for my poor english and yet I'm not saying this is the best way of losing weight but that's just how I did it ,its my experience that I'm trying to share, you can try my way or you can look for some other way.

      Coralsnake If you're feeling lazy , tell you what, you're not alone, I was once like that last month, but once i started exercising, It became an addiction, I feel weird if I don't do exercise, Give it a shot, it may surprise you with some weight lost !!

      Read the thread before posting. You're advice is misinformed and comes off as very harsh.

      For a lot of people, eating right and exercising is not the only answer, In fact, I'd consider those who lose weight easily simply because of those two factors as very lucky individuals. Understand that others have different metabolisms, body types, health issues/problems, disabilities, and incomes that make something as basic as 'eat right and exercise to lose weight' very difficult.

      MLG, no wonder you lost so much weight, if you eat like you mention! Subsiding on a big meal and then on a few apples will no doubt make you lose weight, but most likely because the amount of calories you are consuming is very low. While apples are nutritious for you, eating 4 or more a day is not what I'd consider healthy. I'd actually recommend adding some variety to your diet.
      I'd also say that not having enough time to work out is a valid excuse. I was able to exercise 6 times a week over the summer, but at this moment, being a full time college student and working part time leaves me with very little energy left to even consider it. Homework is my top priority.

      I have a slow metabolism, so I have to work extra hard at keeping a somewhat slim figure than normal. Here is what I have learned, and what I do to look good.

      I work out at least 3 times a week at the gym. There I do weightlifting to tone and cardio. Although I try to keep the weightlifting to every other day to give my muscles time to repair. Cardio is key to burning fat, do as intense working out as you can (But NEVER overdo it.). Not only will it make you feel great, but it the end you'll also notice a difference in your appearance.

      Eating right is the most essitial part of losing weight and keeping it off. It not only matters how many calories you consume, but what makes up those calories. Eating 1,500 calories of fast food is WAY worse than eating 1,500 calories of fruits, vegetables and lean protein. Your body needs nutritious fuel to work smoothly, rather than gunk that will clog it up.
      Eating 6 small meals a day is much more beneficial to keeping your metabolism working. Also, differing the amount of calories you eat a day by a few hundred can also avoid weight plateaus and maintain a fast metabolism.
      Avoid refined foods, especially sugars, they are basically empty calories. Try sticking to whole grains and wheats, which are full of nutrients and fiber, which fill you up. Drinking water is also extremely important. Stay away from red meat, which is often fatty and stick to lean meats like skinless chicken or fish. I am mostly vegetarian, so I rely on beans, soy, and nuts for my main source of protein. Fruit is a great way to beat the sweet cravings with a fraction of the calories, most of them are small enough to carry with you when you have the sudden urge to eat sweets.
      One of the most important eating habits I have gained is eating until I am satisfied. Not until I am stuffed. Portion sizes in America are often much larger than they need to be, and many of us are taught to clean off our plates when it really is not necessary. Stop eating when you start feeling a little bit full.

      PLEASE don't use a neon orange wig. Either go for a natural red-orange, or a subdued orange. I got my my Nami wigs from cyperous, but they don't ship internationally anymore 😞 So unless you want to pay extra for a shopping service or go to the store in Japan…
