^ Many months were basically skipped in the manga. We had plenty of chapters for the first year, some for the second, then we jumped straight toward the end of the third year. If I remember correctly, of course: I'm not totally sure about the 2nd year, though…

Don't remember the number of the chapter (34X, I'd say), but it was when Erza was turned into a kid for the first time, back in the frozen village full of male giants. Soon after being turned into a little girl, she thought about how other people would react at the change: Wendy would think of her as a little sister; Natsu and Gray would be happy because she was easier to defeat; Jellal would turn her down saying something like "Sorry, but I'm not into kids"… and Doranbolt would blush and ogle at her.

So Mashima reinforced the view (already shared by Erza in-universe) that Mest/peDoranbolt is actually a pedo… nothing surprising, after all.

The plot twist in Fairy Tail Zero was that Yuriy is a pedo, right? He's fine with Mavis being forced to live the rest of her life with the body of a kid and he insists about "protecting" her, because he feels responsible and his dream is to stay forever with an eternal loli… Must be Doranbolt's ancestor. :ninja:

The only background character I can always identify is Max, the one who always ends up with a broom up his arse for reasons I don't want to know. Everyone else is just… someone. A blot of ink that helps filling the page.
This chapter was full of someones.

So… Natsu would be Zeref's brother's reanimated corpse, whom Zeref created as a magical Goldberg machine to perform an original suicide, because the gods hated him and he got the Uchiha syndrome; for some reason, Igneel fought against Natsu/END/Whatever and then decided to rear the little tit, up until the day Igneel himself died and went to (un)live inside Natsu's colon.
What a secret, really...

So even Salad, Cicory or whatever her name is now thinks that Sakura was (at best) just a one-night-stand for Sasuke… or, at worst, just a baby sitter for someone else's kid (Karin's, of all the people).
Seems like Sakura just hit the rock bottom as a character and now she's started digging.

So… Gray's heart is full of dorkness and Gajeel is working for the council in memory of the gilf he once knew. Oh well, it should be over in 4-5 chapters, give or take, and we'll find out that Gray wants to destroy the book of END in order to save his dear friend Natsu or something like this and they'll live happily ever after.

The main characters from Fairy Tail Zero are Fairy Tail's founding fathers (and mothers). The elite four, instead, should be the Fab Fours amongst the ten main wizards of the continent. If I remember correctly. Or something like that. There is a bit of overlapping, since the tree chap is (or at least was) one of them, but that's anothem matter.
There should also be a name for the best 10, but damned if I remember it.

Besides, we still have a naked lolita on the rocks, guarded by a dirty old man (Makarov): Mashima would never allow the manga to end before he had a chance to give all his readers some sick fanservice based on that setting… :ninja:

Makarov decided to disband Fairy Tail, because… uhm... alzheimer? A year later Natsu and Lucy (and Happy) started to travel around and gather everyone again, to resurrect Fairy Tail, live happily ever after and stuff. Gray changed hairstyle because yes and now he seems to be with a dark guild for unknown reasons. Oh, and Future Rogue said that Gray will kill Frosch, the annoying cat. Because... yes. Who wouldn't want to kill that thing, anyway?

Well, fight seems too big of a word for descriving two characters who play "catch me if you can" and scream at each other in the background, while other stuff is going on in the foreground, but… oh well, not that I care, really. The whole arc seems more a parody of the ninja war than any other thing, with characters literally sitting on their arses and drinking tea, while a (supposed) bloody fight is going on in front of them...

Mashima being Mashima, he would produce at least 3 new arcs instead of a single, infinite, unnerving battle. So… it would be a slightly better read than Naruto, at least in that department.
Mashima being Mashima, though, I doubt he would end Fairy Tail at chapter 700: chapter 777 feels more likely, given his obsession with the number 7. But no, I don't want to believe there is still that much stuff to tell us about FT world... unless he decides to explore other continents and give more (and more) substance to FT world.
