Whatever the truth is, the whole situation has been handled so poorly on all fronts. By the VA's threatening to call homeland security on people asking questions, to the fans attacking VA's, and yes, most likely to Vic's own terrible behavior. This could have and should have most likely been handled more privately than it has been. I'm all for shaming sickos for awful behavior but in this case, it was like setting off a nuke to their audience because OF COURSE people would want the truth when someone they idolize is facing such accusations and OF COURSE they want answers when actions are taken without any proof being presented to them. That's a natural reaction, but they have to remember that those answers don't have to be given to them. That's why this should have been handled more in-house and privately rather than with voice actors arguing with twitter. The moment it turned into that, the moment Twitter was weaponized on both fronts in both support and against Vic, was the moment people felt they were owed answers that usually aren't given to the public. It became their fight too when the accusers engaged with them so openly about the accusations. This all should have been handled within the company, by the police, and without Twitter/Youtube/and the fandoms chomping at the bit for answers. It should have all been handled and then hear about the aftermath publicly with recasting and whatnot. Everyone dropped the ball and because of that, this has turned into an absolute mess. Personally, as much as I liked Vic, I'm leaning toward the accusers because I question why they would make those stories up. But, we haven't been given and probably won't ever be shown any of the evidence the companies like Funimation used in their investigation so it's all up to beliefs. If this does turn out to be some sort of push because of personal feelings toward Vic, then that will be a whole other can of worms.

RE: Attack on Titan: Why Genocide Is Sometimes Kind of Okay
I'm really hoping they don't just have Uprising Arc be season 3. That would be meh. But seeing the Return to Shiganshina animated would be amazingggg. Would make for a much better end to that season than Uprising. You could end it on them seeing what's in the basement or going to the sea…either way...it would make for a great ending of another season.

RE: Attack on Titan: Why Genocide Is Sometimes Kind of Okay
My predictions for season 2: (SPOILER) is the Colossal. (SPOILER) is the Armored. Can't wait. Though…I hope the reveal is a bit more dramatic than the background reveal in the manga.

Season Eight Voyage Five Cover
I can't believe we're actually at the time skip in the dub. What a journey these past years.

RE: Chapter 835: The Nation of Souls
That is precisely the reason why the chapter threads are sometimes unbearable to read…I just don't get the people who seem to be personally offended and outraged that Oda is spending more than one chapter in this forest. I found the forest plot very creative and entertaining so far and don't feel at all that it has been going on for too long.
Agreed people want to rush the hell out of things just to get to the next big fight…

Anyone know if there is going to be a chapter this week?

The dark times. The excitement and relief when season 4 was announced was amazing

RE: Favorite and Least Favorite Story Arcs
Doffy was a lot more active once the tournament stuff happened. And he didn't needed to be active in the first half because he had what he needed ( Law), unlike Crocodile who was attacking Alabasta compare to Doffy who was defending his place. And technically Doffy was successful in defeating Luffy in gear four by tiring him out. If it wasn't for the side characters helping Luffy recover, Doffy would have succeed in his plan unlike Crocodile.
Basically Doffy had everything that Crocodile was trying to accomplish but didn't.
Also Crocodile didn't get involved personally in Alabasta arc until the war between the royal guards and rebels started.
Exactly. Doffy already had accomplished what Crocodile failed to do.

Hell, for me I hold more reverence for the skypiea arc than I do the water 7/ennies lobby arc.
^Dayummmm, cool to hear some different opinions than I generally see.
Skypiea and Fishman Island, while not quite as obviously essential in the grand scheme as other arcs or seemingly fillerish at times are FAR from filler, and should not be skipped as they have important plot developments, character beats, and themes of One Piece as a whole that are important to the story.

RE: 728: ''Luffy! The All-Out Leo Bazooka''
That Leo Bazooka scene was GREAT. Really happy a lot of this fight has been well animated and even the filler sections of the fight itself have been entertaining to watch.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
What do people here think about Doffy's english V.A.?
Some people say it's not deep enough or something(compared to the Japanese actor) but I think it fits the character perfectly.

RE: Chapter 808 - Duke Inuarashi
If Jack is any indication, this Zoan army is going to be bad ass.

I can't believe how far we've gotten. It will be very surreal when I watch Marineford in an English dub.

RE: Official Zou Thread
I'm loving that this arc is building up Kaido even more after Dressrosa, feel like he'll finally come to forefront in Wano maybe.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Will the fact that they probably have a lot more extensive work to do on Marineford considering how many many many many characters are in it delay the release of season 8 do you think?

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
I think she'll be fine. She's a trooper and I've really enjoyed her Luffy. And I mean, she certainly had a lot of screaming in Skypiea.

RE: 686: ''A Shocking Confession! Law's Passionate Oath!''
Wait can't remember, did Zoro and Pica engage in a sword duel in the manga? Outside of that initial block he made, I don't remember them actually dueling. If that is anime-added, I like it. I was disappointed that Pica didn't use his sword more against Zoro since I love me some Zoro beating fellow swordsmen.

RE: Opening 18: "Hard Knock Days"
I'm hoping for a more somber opening that includes some Corazon and Law flashback imagery.

RE: Chapter 780: "The Heart's Curse"
Does anyone have an idea about the engraving on Doflamingo's flintlock?
http://i.imgur.com/oYJTFQ5.pngThe engraving probably says something along the lines of "Hi Dad!"
-
RE: Chapter 780: "The Heart's Curse"
I'm curious if Luffy would be able to break through Doffy's parasite. I mean, has it ever been confirmed that there's a limit to it? It's been shown Doffy can full on control people with it but with say, Jozu and Sanji, he merely stopped them with it. If there is a limit like "I can only control people up to a certain strength" then he would probably just be able to freeze Luffy and I could totally see Luffy somehow overcoming it and breaking through it. I don't know…just spewing thoughts. :p

RE: Chapter 780: "The Heart's Curse"
My first ever One Piece reaction/review in case anyone's interested
So excited for next week, this fight could finally give Luffy the challenge he hasn't had in 2 years.

RE: General 'Four Emperors' Discussion
Just made this video talking about the Yonko in general, what purpose they may have going forward, and what their intentions are toward the King of the Pirates and the One Piece.

RE: Chapter 779: "Final Fight"
Doffy's been characterizing Luffy as a raging beast and he specializes in taunting and manipulating his opponents. Luffy's going to have to think of a strategy during the fight to overcome Dos Amigos and prove him wrong.
Yeah he should really heed Law's warnings about Doflamingo's "pace".
-
RE: Chapter 779: "Final Fight"
I think next chapter will be just intro of the fight
just some lectures , no fighting at all :(
what u believe?
We will also see some panel of sabo mystery person 'burges'I could see the first part of next chapter being Luffy coming back to the roof to find Doffy and Law. Doffy tries to brag about what he did to Law but Luffy just in a rage, doesn't respond and runs straight at him, slugging him in the face and breaking his shades. Then the "what do Doflamingo's eyes look like" talks can end.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
^^Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm planning on doing a whole lot of these types of discussions rather frequently.
Sabinis, despite what Doffy did to Bellamy and seems to have done to Law, I could see Luffy giving him the worst beating he's ever given anyone but I really don't think he's going to fully cross the line. I just can't see it. He has plenty of reason to end him but he's had plenty of reason to end people like Arlong or Crocodile but they still live.
I agree, Monquito, Doflamingo being taken by the Revolutionaries would spark a HUGE HUGE HUGE conflict between the Revs and the WG. And I think that has huge potential story-wise to delve deeper into that particular conflict.

RE: Volume 77 Predictions/Discussion
@Don:
That is definitely a cover i like, can
t wait to have my hands on one. Vergo obviously can
t be on the cover, because he`s undercover, so his cover would be blown, when he would show himself in such an open way ^^Are you trying to say that Vergo would blow his cover on the cover? Does that about cover it?

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
So just thought I'd post this here. It's my first One Piece theory discussion on a youtube channel I just started. I'll be reviewing chapters each week from here on out as well as doing these discussions on things OP-related that I want to talk about. Pretty much in the video, I just lay out what I think are possible ends for Doflamingo in this upcoming arc. If you watch, hope you enjoy and subscribe ;) … it's my first time doing youtube. Go easy on me.

RE: Volume 77 Predictions/Discussion
this is the third volume to not show Luffy or one of the straw hats and again folows the pattern Baroque works and CP9 did by showing the main antagonist villain group
also it should be noted that every time before this in volume 21 with Barouqe works and volume 42 with CP9 the strawhat group has always goten a cover similar to the one before it, almost a versus type deal
so my guess is next chapter we Have Luffy and law together (where Doffy would be) as well as the strawhat crew behind them (minus sanji, nami, choper and brook) to be like the executives and all there other allies by Luffy/Laws feet
Oh man I'd love something like that for the next cover!

RE: 684: ''A Great Gathering! Luffy and the Outlaw Warriors''
Really enjoyable episode! Hopefully it can remain this consistent!
-
RE: What's your favorite and least-favorite arc in the anime?
Favorite: Loguetown. Something about it was so enjoyable in the anime. I even dug the fillers with like Daddy the Father and Sanji's cooking competition. The anime captured this air of "moving forward toward greater horizons while reflecting on the past".
Least Favorite: If we're counting fillers, Warship Island. Just obnoxious. Especially its placement and even adding Eric to the monumental Reverse Mountain climb -.-

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
hopefully in the next 2 weeks, we'll start getting early shipping notifications.
*We've been at it for quite a while. May 27, 2008 the dub voyage started … April 7, 2015 we'll be one ep away from being Halfway Through the Grandline
Wow has it really already been that long? Time sure does fly.

RE: Volume 77 Predictions/Discussion
Wow! I absolutely love it! About time we've got some proper Donquixote representation!
