Definitely wasn’t catastrophic . By any stretch of the imagination. It’s ok if it didn’t live up to your expectations but the show has been an unprecedented success . Plenty of non fans got into it, my mom is loving it, she would never watch the anime.

Even if we were to take off our fan glasses and watch it as if it were its own thing and from a more objective standpoint, yes, some flaws stick out, especially with the non Oda parts, but it’s still FUN, and most of Netflix’s target audience isn’t gonna be scrutinizing the writing like we are.

What do you mean by nobody else as opposed to the others in the crew?

Luffy still has Shanks and the rest of his village. Sanji has Zeff and them. Nami has Nojiko and Pinwheel head (forgot his name) as well as her town. Usopp has Kaya, his pirates, and the town, and even Yasopp. Zoro has his village and sensei. Chopper has Kureha and even Dalton. Hell, even Brook still has Laboon. Etc. But Robin had no one in her life aside from the straw hats, they were all gone, every single one.

Speaking of seastone, whatever happened to Wano being super important with respect to seastone? Did Oda forget? Lol

Absolutely loved Kid baiting Law and Luffy quite successfully. Easily my highlight for this chapter. And Momo my highlight for Wano.

My biggest gripe so far is Garp. Otherwise overall highly enjoyed it

Agree to disagree. I understand the overall sentiment with Oda not being as good of a writer as before but honestly you’re the first person I see bringing this up and to me it’s a nonissue. Maybe I’m being generous with Oda but then again maybe you are just finding little things to use as examples of his inconsistencies. To each tbeir own, after all.

@zeltrax225 honestly I understood their points and actually agreed with a few, I just found the 5/10 to be a bit inconsistent with their review, as in, I would expect at least a 6 from reading their review. A 5 is not so much okay and more mediocre, in practically all mediums. Just thought that was odd is all..
