RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
@ultimateclima:
The flashback showed he had the powers in him when he knocked out the fodder.
Ace acknowledges that Luffy has the power when Luffy uses it in the war, so he knows about it. And given he was on Whitebeard's crew he must've been curious as to why Whitebeard could physically harm him. If nothing else, Ace knows about haki.
If he had it is not the question.
Ace being able to actively use it, is the question.
Which he cannot.
One of the better reasons I could think of as to why Ace never used CoA during the war is because he was a logia user. His powers aren't based on physically attacking people, they're based on attacking people with his devil fruit powers, so he wouldn't need to use CoA normally anyways.
Nonsense, every logia in the manga (:Sans Ace, Croc, and so far Caribou) are users of Haki. Which they actively used throughout the war or in their respective battles.
If Ace knew how to use it, he would have been shown to use it.

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
I'm quite sure had Ace known how to utilize his CoC, his ability to moderately use the other forms of Haki wouldn't be out of question.
Displaying (1) haki feat when he was 10 =/= being able to casually use it.

The scene where Ace knocks out Bluejam's fodder begs to differ.
The scene where he got effortlessly stomped by Akainu would also beg to differ.

RE: General 'Haki' Discussion
I don't think Ace knew Haki. At all.
Nothing in the manga supports it, if anything he was truly incapable of probably learning it. Being on a ship with the Strongest Man in the World, he should have picked up a pointer or two, but I believe that he either couldn't process such a technique, or he simply felt that he was unable to learn it.
In my opinion.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
Understood, thanks for pointing out my ignorance.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
I agree that he seems like a powerhouse, probably a top-tier, but… is there a reason you quoted my previous post? I assume there is, but I can't figure it out, and thus I can't give you whatever reply you might have been expecting - so a bit of clarification on that, if you don't mind?
I think you stole my story.
But I'm more than likely overreacting.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
I'd like to add that it seems like whether he's able to actually control them or not seems to be dependent on the victim's strength, judging by how he was making Atmos (13th division commander) dance like a puppet, but was seemingly only able to restrain Jozu (3rd division commander). IMO, this seems like Oda giving a clue as to the limits of Doflamingo's power - if the person is sufficiently physically strong, he can't control their movements.
the war.
Fodderizing Atmos, easily controlling Joz, casually slicing off Oars' city block sized foot.
Doflamingo looks to be a New World Powerhouse.

RE: Post Your Pics, Part Trois
@Silent:
Good tumour on my right thyroid gland in a very extremely early stage of turning malignant, microscopic still.
They removed it and only recently declared it to be cancer so they're removing the left half out of precaution to prevent it from happening again.
I'm completely healthy now though with my right half gone.
As long as the cancerous tumor is gone
You're a survivor!

Did you get surgery in your throat or something, Klabautermannwersjfddvvl44?

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
If anything, it's a strength feat when you look at Doflamingo's feats in the war.
Fodderizing Atmos, easily controlling Joz, casually slicing off Oars' city block sized foot.
Doflamingo looks to be a New World Powerhouse.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
Puppetman would be a better choice for Doflamingo. It'd cover his ability to control others along with how he's able to create these strings to slice up a giant like Oars III.
Like how Hawkins would fit as a voodooman instead of just having the ability to create and control straw or something. It explains how he's able to create said straw, but also the damage transferred to those two other people when Borsalino beat him up at Sabaody.
My sentiments exactly.

Had Ace not have been killed.
Hey guys, I was just thinking the other day. Had Ace not have been killed, and vigorously trained (like Luffy) over the past 2-years, would he have currently been stronger than Luffy?
In my personal opinion, I don't believe so. What's your takes on this?
And I base this off of Ace's seemingly inability to learn Haki. His best bet on truly learning it would have been to train with Whitebeard, but he's gone now. I also highly, highly doubt that Marco could teach Ace anything.

RE: General Discussion Thread II
Also, just to mention: The Millennium Force is a roller coster currently featured at the Cedar Point amusement park (Sandusky, OH).
It's incredibly fun to ride on and one of the better costers the park has to offer.

Here's some kids having a good time on it:
I'm sure you can relate with their excitement.
Another fascinating thing about Sandusky, Ohio is that the fictional movie, Tommy Boy took place in that very location. And some even say it had scenes filmed there.

Great movie.

RE: Visitor Messaging
You… can't really say that, when you probably don't know what this community is like.
You have a point, it's just a general assumption.
They most certainly can but doesn't mean they will all behave. :P Well, I am quite sure it does but we pretty much stick around using PM's for greetings and such and the past few days we've all started using AP's mIRC chat for whatever could be considered inappropriate and off topic for the Forum.http://i39.tinypic.com/ckeb8.jpg
Haha, ok.
Well I would like to speak the boss of this forum.

RE: Visitor Messaging
Next you'll be telling us to have five hundred subforums like NF. The forum as it is has worked for everyone here, there's no reason to drastically change it.
Don't be so defensive. It's merely a suggestion that would do 10x as more good for the community, than bad.
Edit: You could just say hi to them in a thread they're posting in.
Then that would be considered spam, and derailing.

RE: Visitor Messaging
Eh, it's a big community. There are plenty of bored people around~ And when people are bored here, three things usually come out of it: Spam, trolling, bans. http://i47.tinypic.com/2a0di4h.jpg
hahahaha, surely people can display some self control over such things. Visitor Messaging serves a very useful purpose.
@Shuhan1288:
Call us old fashion, we like that.http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff6/yahoo-emotions/105.gif
It's still kind of weird, to have to create a thread just to say hi to a friend.
