So… Just like the Deicide chapters, the Qunzi war is just another turn-based battle bonanza where the fighters have to play hide and seek. And what's the reason for showing those Arranquizis at the very start of all this mess if they are not being used to fight in this "war"?

If Kubo wrote any FKMT manga, the protagonists would win by pure plot armor instead of wits and luck, the psychological views would be like Ichigo's pseudo-freudian shit and the games would last for an eternity (specially the already eternal Akagi vs Washizu match :ninja:).

      @kouch_lee:

The bad news: I don't bring a new Dorohedoro chapter.

The good news: If this is confirmed, then we'll possibly get an additional Dorohedoro volume!

Which is basically Q saying that at first she thought of making volume 19 thicker than normal and ending the series there. But in the midst of drawing she ended up wanting to draw more, and that it would be better to extend the series to volume 20. She proposed this idea to the editors, and they are very excited about it, but are still waiting to hear back from the higher ups. Q will inform us once a final decision is reached.

Can't say anything else other that I hope this is true; more Dorohedoro is awesome news, and a more fleshed out ending? Oh, hell yeah.

Credit goes to Batoto Forum member sundress.

That's better, much better. There are so much things to explain, ending so soon would be too rushed.

Q: Spanish frequently comes up but is it to contrast them from the Shinigami?
A: During the the time the Menos Grade came out, I was thinking I wanted to use a language that had a good meaning yet sounds bad/evil. If it's evil, Indian sounds evil, but I had an image of something that sounded very cool and cool-headed. Similarly, Spanish has this devil-ish, and sexy sounding and a dark* sound to it which I liked

It's even possible for Kubo to create a character named "Pablito" and make him bad cuz SPANISH R EVUL.

Edit : You can found some stand and Dio here => http://theendoffreetime.tumblr.com/post/41308223071/jojo-card-images-i-was-able-to-snatch-from-that

I've seen them all on the official project site. Here => http://www.projectcore.jp/ They were 20 characters concept and some notes about 25 episodes and some of the fight skipped.

They were a lot of notes of the producers themselves along with the whole TGC introduction. Some notes said they skipped some fight because they felt really off and that even Araki wasn't satisfied of the way they were portrayed in the OG manga.
It also said that staying really true to the roots of the serie was a bit complicated since some things were really old school.

I do not understand japanese very well so they may be some mistake in what i understood.

The only fight I remember they skipped was Jonathan vs Wang Chan, and that wasn't too much of a fight, just some panels.

In fact, I don't think there's a specific way to classify what's filler or not when talking about the story itself and not what's in the manga. It may depends more on what will influence in the story or not. If all side-fights were considered filler, then even the ones with characters like Enya are filler.

Part 4, while certainly not the best, is one of my favourite arcs because of how personal it is. I mean, it's flawed, the plot with Reimi and Kira should have kicked off earlier, but I get the feeling that Araki put a lot of "me" in it and it just makes me nostalgic.

Uh, not really? Just the student characters.

And yes, Vento Aureo had some really bizarre designs but to me, they were also pretty ugly (especially Melone). The following arcs handled it better IMO.

Being a "slice-of-life" with characters living their normal lifes, the chances for Araki to create different clothes was higher than part 3 and part 5 where the characters run nonstop from enemies. But it was always "coming back to school, uniforms always in hand". And the changes between the uniforms were just some minor acessories. There's no problem if you think the clothes in part 5 are ugly, I have the same opinion, but in general part 5 had pretty much different and bizarre clothes.

    • RE: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

I agree Phantom Blood was one of the weakest parts in JoJo, but I wouldn't say it's horrible. And it was "generic and amateurish" simply because it was one of his first works in Jump and the first one that would receive the longest run. Then he started improving his art and story through the parts. The way you complain look like he did better things before and then did shit in PB.
      .
And the weakest of the parts in story and art is part 4 and 5. You guys may say "oh, nice slice-of-life, Kira is awesome, this is a new story style he's trying", but in a action-oriented manga like JoJo all that "slice-of-life" chapters didn't do any good. And most characters in it were mainly filler storywise. And about the clothes, I disagree Araki had the lowest point there, they fit the "bizarre" theme in it, but part 4 had only school uniforms and baggy pants.

Stroheim was the only nazi (not counting Mark) that really got Joseph's attention and respect enough to be remembered, he sacrificed himself and showed great pride to be a "german helping his country". In defense of JoJo, the manga/anime was made to be "over the top", it's Araki's style, he likes to do exaggerate dialogues, poses, colors and drama in all parts. If you don't like it, no problem, but waiting to the author to change the style he chose to do this work because of your opinions is bullshit. It's like wanting for Oda to do One Piece like Berserk.
      .
And about the anime, you guys should remember it's a weekly release, David Productions can't waste too much money in "EYEGASMIC AWESOME EPISODE". The adaptation and the pacing is really following the manga faithfully, without dragging or rushing too much (despite some exceptions like episode 1). In the BDs they change a lot of things to better, correcting the scenes and so on. Because of these things, I don't have any problems with the anime.

About why he didn't pick up the gun with the other hand instead of pulling the one he already had, I think that:

1 - In either way, the guns would be close enough to fuse and Valentine tried to shoot fast before that, or…
2 - He was nervous enough to not think about this and screwed the chance to kill Johnny without the guns fusing.

EDIT: I always see all these references as an homage, because they are always constant in the series and he always mention about these references in his interviews and artbooks.

Why would Johnny lie? Funny was already doomed to die. All of the leverage lay with Johnny anyway. And why would Funny want Johnny dead before he could follow through with any possible avenue to reverse the rotation? It's not like Johnny could easily fire off another, third rotation to kill him after that point, you need a horse at full gallop.

Maybe Valentine just gambled on this one thinking the effects would end. Even if Johnny was unable to use the Golden Rotation and Valentine still believed he could use it, I don't think he was sure Johnny would fulfill his part of the deal. Johnny is the same thing, he was thinking about a new Gyro, but asked him to pick the gun. In any case, both were suspicious of each other and it would be a matter until one of them would attack first.

And about Valentine, maybe he shot because he wouldn't let Johnny alive anyway. Or he thought Johnny wouldn't accept this, but made this deal as a trap to catch him by surprise.
      .
And you guys question about this too much by seeing only the condition where Johnny was really inclined to fulfill his part of the deal and Valentine was just a "lying bastard" in the end. We didn't even know if Johnny was going to follow it, probably not because of his "dark intention".

An alternate universe doesn't have to be the only alternate universe.

I didn't say this, I said about the alternative universe in the context that SBR, although happening in another timeline, makes part of JoJo. Not that SBR is the only alternative universe of the original JoJoverse.

      @Dumhuvud:

! I think you misunderstood me, dude. I wasn't trying to say that SBR is not a reboot, only that it might not be connected to the end of Stone Ocean.
! For all we know one of the clones that D4C summoned might have been from Irene's universe.

! Yeah, maybe I misndertood, sorry. And about this, if Irene's verse is part of the SBRverse, then it must be some random and totally different dimension from the "corpse universe". But knowing Araki originally thought on a different series before adding SBR in JoJo and he isn't the guy to make complex connections between parts, I would say he pratically forgot or something like that.

! It's AN alternative universe, but the question is if it's the same as the one Emporio ends up at the end of Stone Ocean.

! It's obvious that is an alternative universe, just like I said when talking about Araki's announcement. But SBR universe is so different (save the counterparts) that it doesn't look like it's an alternative universe, it looks like more of a reboot.
      .
And I don't put my two cents anymore in this subject about Emporio, because Araki isn't the type of guy who use early parts to do complex connections to recent parts, he never did this. You can see one or other reference, but expecting answers from Araki about Emporio is highly impossible.

Anyone else feel that the JJBA wiki is too quick to jump to conclusions? Most if not all the SBR counterpart comparisons are essentially fan theories, yet they're listed as facts.

! Not to mention that we don't even know for sure if the SBRverse is the same universe that was created during Made in Heaven. As of JoJolion, the evidence points to the contrary. And as Valentine's D4C demonstrated, there's probably an infinite number of universes.

I mean, it's a fairly informative wiki, but it's also very very fanwanky. I believe the Zelda wiki suffered from the same problem; the line between speculation and fact is just too thin.

But the alternative universe thing isn't fanwank, it's fact. In the beginning, Araki meant to make SBR as a standalone series, but he couldn't get out of JJBA's influence and then announced in volume 3-5 that SBR was really an alternative universe of JoJo, just like a reboot.

If we assume that somehow he's Kira, despite them having found his body or whatnot, his combined abilities will have something in common with Gappy. So if Gappy is bubbles that take things away, would the other combo be a stand that destroys spaces? It'd explain holly's weird problems, to be sure.
! Oh and seeing more of Hirose's stand design, I continue to hope that Born This Way is actually the name Araki's given it. fits well.
! WILD SPECULATION! I'M ON FIRE!

! The Hand is like a weakened version of Cream, he doesn't stole things with his void, it REDUCES them to dust.
