All right. I decided to take a break from KHR so at least the Future arc is somewhere near the end. I suppose by the posts I read, it seems the Future arc still hasn't finished.

I'm just waiting until the first three DVDs are released before I take the plunge into Uncut One Piece. That way, I have plenty to watch. I plan to buy the DVDs in threes. It may mess up the season collection for me, yes, but it's better than buying one DVD at a time.

Besides, I'll be able to see Uncut Sanji in the series. Nobody spoil me please.

I noticed your sig. Not everything was lost. I mean, the manga sales are manageble, I mean, like Yuugi's Black Magicial said, Viz could be happy since money is still being made. The DVDs are still being released, albeit on random dates instead of a normal release schedule. What is there to be lost?

RomanGod, from what I've heard on that page, seems to not act his age, but trying to individulise him is also wrong. Saying all that stuff, even though it's true, is plain, biased stereotyping. You could just ignore his comments and block him, but what did you do? Instead, you constantly reprimate him for his lashing outs and continue to downgrade him further. If I had the same member on my forum, I would just tell him to calm down so the other members won't single him out. Even temp-ban him. But I would never stoop to your level.

Infact, this is the last post I'll make on this board because I'm leaving this board, and the One Piece fandom. I will enjoy it for what it is, but not as a fan, but as a person. You can just continue your goings on. Even challenge my opinion, but personally, I don't care.

I'm agreeing with RomanGod. Not only is this forum immature (You say your opinion and you get insulted), this also thinks that FUNimation's OP DVD sales are enough to bring it back on air.

Well, let me tell you something 'True Blue anime fans': No matter what the situation, unless the series is properly advertised, it'll never get back on TV. What would happen then, One Piece falls into obscurity in america. Also, you may be happy with the FUNimation dub, but don't forget, FUNimation got into the license not that easy, they can easliy say 'We're done' and halt DVD production. How, imagine if sales no longer reach what they expected. Also, I don't think of FUNi's version as uncut, but as 'uncut for fanboys' because of the amount of swearing in the english dialouge then there is in the subs.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to side with Roman(emo to some)God on this one.

What I lable as a true blue anime fan(Otaku) is those that are happy with what they get and don't mind about the minority (You get the uncut DVDs and don't mind about the TV version) and some of you even complain about the minorest details, even if they're not important (No original visual track)

Well, while FUNimation is still releasing the DVDs for now, they can just as well easily stop if sales reach a low point. Think about it: Not many normal people know about the uncut DVDs and those which watched the 4Kids dub only will ignore the FUNimation dub DVDs despite the fact that they're different dubs. Sure, the OP fanbase and people which know about this is keeping FUNi's One Piece afloat, but eventually, to all otakus, it could come to bite them back as, like RomanGod said, One Piece faces fading into obscurity into america.

Look. The gist of the dub (The actual episode) is actually uncensored. The only people I would see complaining that certian things aren't in the uncut dub are Anime Fanboys/Fangirls. Seriously, if I had the DVDs, I would enjoy them for what they are.

I have the Movie 8 DVD. When I play the audio in english, the gold logo shows up. When I play the audio in japanese, the original logo shows up.

FUNimation is doing so much to different itself from the 4Kids dub, even adding uneccesary swearing in the dub (Don't belive me? Play the DVD with english audio and translated Subtitles and look where there is subs in the english version where there isn't in the subs), therefore 'adultifying' the dub making it seem like a show for teens when, infact, it's just a show for kids.

I blame the cultural diffrences for this argument.

I didn't read that much of the manga, but don't forget, Lambo is in his 5-year-old state and the 10-year bazooka is basically kaput. So it would take a miracle for Lambo to do something in his current state.

About FUNimation pulling the subs: If there is a FUNimation dub, if they dub the anime and the opening and closing themes, one side of me says that Vic could be worthy of singing Drawing Days.

About the lottery comparison: I do know that people win lotteries, but some don't. Besides that, the risk is still there, just very low.

Not funny or funny, I am still sick of those people that say the world ends in 2012. If it were an established fact, then all projects that happen after 2012 would stop. However, the world WILL NOT end in 2012. You must be thinking the mayans. Even though the longest cycle ends in 2012, a new cycle begins. You should get the logic. Sorry. It's just that so many posts sound so gullible to the idea that the LHC could destroy the world. There is a low risk (Nontheless, it's still there) so the chance of the LHC destroying the earth is like winning the lottery.

Well, counting from this thread's start date, today (At least, in my country) is when the LHC is activated, or to those 'End of the world' Extremists, the end of the world.

You see, if the LHC was really the world ender, I wouldn't be talking to yous right now. So, we live. And please don't quote me and add 'Untill 2012'. The world will continue for many good years to come, even through 2012 and more years.

Of course, I'm not prepared on alien invasions myself.

Yeah. But I don't think that grain of salt should be taken lightly. FUNimation's One Piece is, as far as from my knowledge, a DVD series and nothing more. It will never be a sucsess on television, according to RomanGod.

Ah, a bit of a problem there Luffy Batter. The FUNimation TV version is currently not being shown, therefore it would be after they released Water 7/Enies Lobby on DVD (Somehow, I highly doubt that) and even then, FUNimation could've released Movie 9 some way or another.

Luffy Batter, as far as I know, unless FUNimation buys the license to a movie, TOEI gives them movie licencese. Therefore, you can't stop them if TOEI (And I'm not saying it will happen, but don't doubt me) decides to give FUNimation the license for Movie 9 instead of the other Movie licenses.

Perhaps the reason why the episode never played could be because the buisness between CN and TOEI concerning the series could've extended a bit.

But this means that RomanGod is right. That One Piece will never be a sucess in the English markets.

I managed to get onto the CN AU website and checked the times. bandit_legend, I'd assume that the information is a bit incorrect because on the CN AU website, it still shows One Piece being on.

I do agree, this arc is taking too long because of its pacing.

CN USA didn't see One Piece FUNimation version as a visable attraction to attract viewers.

Actually, using the word 'abortion' in any circumstance can still offend.

In anyway, if you post a review, be prepared to get bad critisicm.

Don't forget, there are the soccer moms. This anime could be good bait for them to complain about. It should really go on [adult swim], so the dub could be done pretty well.

So the Japanese version was using previews all along. And here us One Piece fans thought that the previews didn't start until later.
