"Saul" is the bad romanization. サウロ -> Sauro -> Saulo. There's no reason to think it's correct without the o.

If it was like that then Usopp would be Usoppu, Wapol would be Wapolu, Iceburg would be Iceburgu.

So you take the shot on that one.

The Japanese can't end their words without a vowel other than with the sound n. Thus, cutting off the last vowel in the name is a common thing in romanization of names.

Because they are doing it the right way already. Saulo is bad romanization. :happy:

Uhh yeah, our last chapter wasn't really beautiful so to say, but lesson learned and solution found I guess you could say!

Your the 2nd one. I informed my cleaner (he's improving) and apparently he forgot to expand the RAW before cleaning or something like that.

Well, the Enel thing was a 1-time appearance. Usually I only do puns in an omake anyways. :happy: I still think I should have used Gan Fall though.

The Kool-Aid man pun wasn't actually on purpose either, the Galley-La guys actually said something like Alright! or Oh yeah! It was only until I was editing I noticed….OMG, they sound like the Kool-Aid guy....
Go ahead and read Null, if you want to wait 2-3 weeks for it as long as people are enjoying One Piece I'm happy.

The colors stay however, they look pretty.

I didn't alter the text at all, really.

The Enel comment, for one, Nami says "Yogatta!" Which can mean such things as "what a relief," "I'm so happy," "thank God" etc. So to implement a little fun my translator changed God into Enel. I was going to change it to Gan Fall but Enel is more well known.

Obviously people don't like having fun at all anymore except for me. :blink:

Manga, for me at least, has always been for the fun of it, and I've received lots of positive comments about the funny comments and not really much of a response about the coloring but I'm still gonna do it since it highlights plot importance and attacks for some people that may miss something.

So if 2 people don't want to read my scanlation its not the end of the world for me or the end of the group.

And as for using "real translations" I have my own translator unless you didn't see on the title page or the rants page. :ninja:

i really hate these jokes ala narutard scanlations (aka gear 4 and "had to do that"). that and the colors which were useless.

but the translation was very good and the editing was nice for a fast scanlation.

Uhh…what's wrong with cracking a little joke? It's for the fans. :blink: It makes it look more appealing.

I always have used colors for attacks so far and I'm using them now to highlight important plot things so that it stands out for people.

That's the first complaint I've gotten about either one of them so I'm probably gonna continue to do it.

No, it didn't. The previous ones lasted around 50 episodes each, but Believe lasted for almost 70.

It's really sad to see Brand New World go, especially to rhythmic foo's like Tacky and Tsubasa.

The new opening might be good but it will fail compared to Brand New World.

Yeah there is, Crazy Rainbow by Tacky and Tsubasa. I'm very disappointed though, Brand New World was too good. And T&T aren't that great with openers, they had a good one with Inuyasha and that was pretty much it.

I'm not really expecting too much out of the new opening.

Note that its an online poll conducted by a specific company, so many people are left out of the calculations.

If this was a survey sent to the home of each person in Japan, the results would be much more accurate and very different.

Who cares if there is some blood edited out? Its not like it changes the story…which is the most important part.

And the symbols are removed from the OPs and EDs because they use DVDs to sub instead of the RAWs...and the DVDs don't have the symbols on the OPs and EDs.

You should learn to appreciate what you have and not complain about it.

And yes, I'm grateful for Gerusama's work and hope they can get back in the game soon.
