What I find funny about the Uncharted series so far; Is the 1st one was mocked for being unoriginal and other crap, Yet the second is hailed a landmark game which apparently does everything better than anyone else. Kinda hypocritical in my opinion.

Naughty Dog has been known for being [what people may call] "unoriginal", actually; it's just that any lesser developer would pale in comparison to the amount of talent and skill that ND implements into their games, since they're capable of shaping the ideas they took from other games into something so polished and fun to play that all you're really left with is respect for what they've done, rather than feeling like you're playing a ripoff of another great game that has been introduced into the mainstream video game media.

Concerning what the critics have said, though, I don't think I've even witnessed anyone majorly criticize Uncharted for being unoriginal, to be honest; most of the criticism stemmed from cover, graphical, and enemy wave issues, if I recall correctly, but it probably depends on who you're referring to. Also, the main reason UC2 is praised isn't because of its originality or innovation (leave it to the EAD to surprise us with something like that…those talented, professional bastards...) anyway, but rather, its immersive, cinematic experience and almost flawless pacing. But hey, whatever a person prefers or believes is respectively their right, and I shall not try to provoke that..

My personal favorite post-timeskip episode would still have to go to 517, but this was pretty fair as well, I guess. The art, animation, and overall atmosphere of Brook's concert scene was peculiarly spectacular, though, that's for certain. I'd probably go as far as to say that that was the primary highlight of the episode in general as well, tbh.

Overall, though decent chapter at best, imo. That Sea Bear looked pretty freaked out at the end of that panel, though; looks like Hodi's gonna get some enhancements in the next several chapters, eh?

I didn't catch it the first time, but as others already said Big Mam's Candy Factory was demolished! At first I thought Daruma was making a message in the walls, then I couldnt't figure out why he was traveling like Bugs Bunny. Then I noticed the actual factory falling down. Pretty cool the way Oda passively mentiones Big Mam at the beginning and then doesn't even mention exactly why Durama is doing what he is doing. I suppose to be completely human free Fish Man Island can not be protected by one. Yeah this arc is going to last a while.

I don't think they actually saw her, but just heard numerous rumors that expressed her extensive beauty, if I recall correctly…but then again, making a statement like that without actually using a scan as evidence is a little far-fetched, so I might be wrong.

This was obviously coming, concerning the persistent damage we inflict on our environment on a day-to-day basis.

Exactly; so I guess you can say that that means they're either already well-learnt about the existence and basics of Haki (and considered Luffy's use of CoA as predictable/expected), or they're not completely sure of what Haki is in the first place (or at least, not the specific "Colors" of it), thus triggering their casual response since they wouldn't exactly realize the extent of Haki Luffy learned over the two years.

But since there's still enough room for fan speculation over the matter, there's really no real confirmation yet, which is why discussions over this topic will continue to exist until then..

I just realized that Robin's abilities could be used with some sort of auto-regenerative ability (like creating a new arm in the place of her real one if someone cut it off, or creating new cells to close any given injury in her body).

So, I would like to see it happening. And then, at some point, see all the "fake" body be unmade by Blackbeard putting her on a really close to death situation.

So lets say she lost her left arm, she could create another arm with her ability,but that arm would be a right arm(because thats the one she has left)which means she would now have two right arms.

Creating cells and membrans could be useful, but for that she has to train her ability to a maximum.

Indeed, those are some considerably interesting points, and would be pretty intriguing to actually see in the manga.

If that turns out to be the case, Robin's DF will certainly become a lot more useful than it apparently appears to be at the moment, in a defensive perspective.

Whatever the case, I guess the answer will be confirmed when we actually delve deeper into Zoro's and Sanji's abilities or witness either one of them being surprised to see Luffy utilize Haki in one of his attacks. Nevertheless, Sanji and Zoro learning Haki is very probable, given the large amount of time they were presented with to hone their skills, but since their training were far more focused on specifically different aspects of their abilities, (in contrast to Luffy's own training), it should still be very far from their captain's proficiency over it at the very least, obviously.

But yeah. There goes my two cents. I'm pretty sure most of those points I detailed above were already pointed out in previous posts, but whatever…

Episodes 19, 1, 483, 126, 412, and several more that I don't really feel like listing right now.

Overall, though, I believe this flashback arc was actually considerably more satisfying in the anime than in the original manga, and was generally decent in terms of both animation and episode direction. Definitely done more finely than the Marineford Arc, that's for certain.

Jango is definitely winning this. He's just colorful as a character, proficient at producing typical moments of mass hilarity, and simply full of win.

Btw, that binoculars scene was pretty funny, actually. When Jango makes his first debut after the timeskip, it would be interesting to see just how much his abilities have evolved over the two years, although I doubt it will be anything worth putting up against the likes of the Straw Hats, obviously. Nevertheless, I guess we'll have to stay put until then…

I'm currently right-handed, although ambidexterity was one of the several goals I had set out for myself during my years in high school, resulting in a failure of an attempt as I simply couldn't bother with the constant training of the left hand as it just seemed to go nowhere (in terms of apparent physical observation and the actual feeling(s) produced while practicing it).

Maybe, one day, I'll try to pick up on it once more and give my left hand another shot, but, either way, it really doesn't matter, if you ask me..

I was watching some Ide's episodes, he's not as bad as I was thinking. Actually, it's pretty standard like Hisada, not bad at all. I think I was confusing with some Takagi episodes.

Yeah, Ide's style is pretty decent and clean, actually, especially for normal One Piece animation standards; like Crossword said, his style isn't so different from Hisada's own, actually.

Not to mention, he was also the AD for Luffy and Usopp's fight, which I thought was drawn and animated fairly well.

Ah, you're right about Dragon Ball; I forgot about that, so I apologize. (Well, congratulations on feeling idotic, now, Dyran.) I don't know about Sailor Moon, though, since I've never watched or read it.

So I guess the chances of One Piece getting a new name isn't so slim, then. Still, it makes me wonder what kind of name will be give in the first place. (Many people have been assuming it to be something like "One Piece: New World", or "One Piece: New Age"; then again, though, these might not be completely implausible.)

Either way, I'm fine with whatever Toei does, (unless it's something radically unnecessary, obviously), but I'm still not sure if they really will give the show a name enhancement following the timeskip. Until then, though, I guess I'll be looking forward to seeing what they truly have in store for us after the first part's completion..

I doubt it. I don't think Toei would do something like that, since Oda never changed the name of the actual series itself as well.

No. It's already been said that a "war that will engulf the world" will be triggered after One Piece is finally found, so I doubt that would be the case.

Of course, it's also possible that One Piece will be destroyed to prevent such a large-scale event, or some other major, defining blow is dealt to manage the situation at hand.

However, whatever the case, jumping to conclusions like this is quite too early to retain a precise amount of accuracy, so I guess we can't be so sure about what will truly happen in the last chapters of One Piece until we actually get there. Still, honestly, I believe OP will not end right after Luffy finds One Piece and becomes Pirate King, (if he accomplishes either of those in the first place, that is), but that's merely my own speculative opinion of the matter.

I'm pretty sure we are. Was anything otherwise ever announced?

I started to re-read the Fishman Island Arc, the more I learn about Hodi the less I think he is "main villian material." Madam Shirely on the other hand has peaked my interest. What if she lied about Luffy destroying Fishman Island and is really pulling the strings? If this was talked about already I apologize.

It surprises me to see that I've never assumed that, as of yet. To be honest, I believe that the idea is plausibly probable, because of Oda's occasional tendency to shock us with his diversity of characters, but also unlikely. Then again, because of the peculiar pace in which Oda is moving, I guess we can't say anything for sure until we come across her name again, later on in the story.

But now that you've brought such a theory up, I suppose I shall be looking out for any mention of her in the future; apparently, while a majority of myself believes that she's only a fairly minor character who will play a mediocre (at the least) to a memorable (max) role, a small portion also believes that you may actually be on to something, and she could be something more vital to the storyline.

Whatever the case, this is one of those ideas that are either incredibly stupid, or impressively smart, so until then, I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Hopefully the flashback will slow down to a real pace with the next chapter, and after the flashback is over we'll get a proper FI arc. I've been… okay... with the pace so far, on the assumption that its going to be a 2 year arc and this has just been the opening mini-event, the Jaya setup, and that we're going to be spending a lot more time in the place and there's going to be a lot of meat to come yet, some big twist that'll make it more epic and more like the thing he's been teasing steadily for 5 years.

This, too, is what I've been looking forward to for this arc, which is why I have no real pestering issues with Oda's progress just yet; hopefully, this arc really isn't just a couple more months long, because that would be quite disappointing.

I guess that works as well. I slipped in the title of "Pirate King", though, because a group of 'space pirates' was introduced earlier, but since evidence of more factions like that is scant, the title of "space lord" would probably be somewhat more accurate.

Enel will become the Pirate King of outer space and begin his conquest of power with his loyal space minions as he travels to the very ends of the universe to take over the bosom of heaven itself…

Very impressive episode. Must say, there was nearly nothing to be disappointed of and practically every area of this episode was handled nicely, at the least. The brutal beating of Luffy and the last scene with Sabo and Ace were also very well-done; so far, Toei seems to be managing this flashback flawlessly.

[[b]NOTE: Must admit, the scene with Luffy's terrible lying skills was able to compel me to pry open a grin or two, as well. Hopefully, this standard of quality will remain consistent for the remainder of this arc, at the very least..]

While you do make a good point, that portion of my post wasn't meant to be taken seriously. My knowledge on a fish's anatomy is quite askew as well, so it was indeed an inaccuracy of mine to ask that last question. But, aside from that, I apologize for the sudden diversion from an actually productive discussion; I suppose it will be better to simply drop this and continue on with a more subtle amount of silliness, eh?
