I don't think it is the traitor. Oden was defeated, the other retainers were being subdued, why would the traitor do such a risky move as attacking Ashura in the open just to the next minute go back and pretend to be on their side again?

I thought that there must be a reason to show us that stabbing and the silhouette. For sure it has some meaning. The one who stabbed knew that Oda will loose at this point and waited for the right moment.
Oda doesnt draw such things just for fun.

I guess to the left, next to the stabbing is the Silhouette of the one who stabbed, which is imo the traitor, too. He/She wears a bracelet.

I do like this chapter very much. Oda did a great job in the design and behaviour of Hawkins. Enjoyed the chapter very much !

The fight with BigMom showed once more, post timeskip: Luffy wins with a team and not alone. If he is alone he cannot win. And I like that.

I hope they can flee the place soon and we go on to the next arc. It was a nice arc and we got a very good portrait of BigMom.

The Vinsmoke are just a bad joke. No one attends the birthday of BigMom without security.

The SH, for OnePiece this arc is a huge stepm forward. They have a plan, they collaborate, they win with stratagem. Not with brute force.

Lets see how that all ends. BigMom will explode in a few seconds.

Great chapter. I do like the similarity of Luffy eating and Sanjis mom eating, both saying its delicious food. I also do like very very much Luffy saying: "thats just you"
Single most important sentence of this arc and it explains everything of Sanjis behaviour. Sanji is just Sanji. Too kind to be mean.

BigMom has a certain role in this manga. And its not to be fought by Luffy. She is a Yonko but she will be the one who never wins. Who is always furious but never succeeds.
Again: GoldRoger didnt fight her either. He stole and ran away, too. That story simply repeats and that fits well into the whole story.

There will never be a fight between Luffy/SH and BigMom. She will be still there even when SH arrive at Raftel. They will escape with the copy. And it will be the same as with Roger.
Luffy wont return into the castle.

In my opinion there will be no wedding. I think SH will escape. BigMom will get furious. One of the last panels will be when she says: "at least do we have that treasure box", and opens it.

Well to me it was obvious from the begining that the BigMom arc wouldnt take too long and solved fast. Its just the half crew there, you couldnt expect more. Luffy visits BigMoms castle, you get an idea of her crew, thats it. The best is propably that Sanjis past and his behaviour has been explained. We can tick that off, too.

I expect much more when they reunite. Then we get to the core.

Why did Pudding shoot Reiju ???
Just to tell Sanji the story and reveal her ability?

Taking a quick glimpse through the chapter, I see eyes and hands. Any guesses as to what Jinbei could have lost to Big Mom before he left the crew?

When you dont want to play the game you can still decide to fight her.

The best decision was to remain in her crew. When time is come (=right now) he can revolt directly against her in order to take her down. Which means if he didnt succeed he would loose his life.

Sanji has to perform huge! Even better than that. Else I dont know how I can forgive this silly ass. Really very dissapointing. I never experienced that feelings for an SH chracter before.

Very very bad story development in my opinion.
Brooks fight and strength feels forced. What is this a coincidence with both he and BM use souls?

Luffy should learn to use CoO more, he should be able to dodge that double Haki punch or at least reduce damage with his own arnament Haki. Getting distracted by a book house then getting crushed is a bit childish at this level.

Luffy simply had no will to win these fights. Thats the main problem. He is very dissapointed of Sanji. His goal is not to beat all enemies and find&rescue Sanji. He just wants to stay there and eat nothing. Nearly every fight of Luffy in the last years, without his will to win, he is lost. Yes, he is lost and thats exactly what he told Sanji.

Lola will arrive. With her husband and army. She will turn the story around.
Sanji is very dissapointing this chapter. But I dont know how else he could have behaved.
And Jinbei. Dont forget him. He will show up, too.

I guess Zeff will appear in this arc. I can not imagine that Sanji has to deice between Zeff and Luffy. The handcuffs are no problem.
Luffy just sitting there and doing nothing? I dont think so.

This was one of the best fights presented early in a arc. Simply great work! I like the speed of this arc and I like the Sanji story ever more.

Without Sanji I wouldnt be a fan of Zoro. so much fun between them two. Go Snaji, win the tournament !

Jack will be defeated rather fast. I think its rather obvious. Jack was built up as strong character and defeating him will show how strong SH&Co are, compared to the admirals for example.
Additionally, it will draw Kaidous attention to them and speeds up the story/tension.

I dont like Luffy design with this attack. He is fat like a balloon. Hardly convincing for a person who fights. Makes him look slow.

The fight was boring aswell. No action just power. When I compare with Luffy vs Crocodile there is a huge difference in quality of action.

Dressrosa was a nice idea but not the best arc.

I am waiting to read about the fight BB vs revolutionaries. I wonder who wins this fight.

Those boobs animated a pervert and ruined 723 with that.

Sanji should have no problems dealing with capone. He simply can set fire inside the castle with his legs, for example.

Rescue arc. Not so fast. I guess there is a lot going on at Zou, with Law and the samurai, until then.

Capone, with Urouge is propably one of the weakest Supernovas. I dont think his ability is any problem the next time they meet.
The twist in the story is very interesting. I do hope we see more of Sanji from time to time and do not get a Sanji break of more than a year or so.

I guess the minks kidnapped the weakest SH. Nami and Chopper. Nami would never change her clothes voluntarily. Never.
This licking and biting is not friendly at all.

We still dont know what OnePiece exactly is, but now we definitly know what exactly the title "Pirate King" means for Luffy (and what it means not). To me thats a huge step forward to the end of this manga.

This was really amazing. The only thing I regretted was, that I wished Sanji doing that kick. I liked the preview, too.

Well, as usual the best is Aohiges summary.
The chapter was quite foreseeable. Dressrosa simply makes no sense otherwise. It simply was a (way too many chapters and flashbacks) setup for the new world. And therefore Oda needed an "old" character. He didnt want to waste a new one on that.
It is now when the new world really begins.

There is Luffy, Law and a bunch of highly rated pirates. On the other side there is just Fujitora. I doubt he will even try to fight all of them at once. He wont have a chance.

Great how Oda jumps forward with the storyline. It feels really refreshing reading this chapter. Finally!

This is how you successfully kill a great manga chapter.

This arc doesnt have the usual predictive setup. Most of SH crew does nothing important.
This arc is setup for Luffy as a pirate king. Introduction of Luffys allies. They deserve the screen time.

It is very courageous of Oda to deal with so many characters in one arc. To change the usual, predicitve storyline. Maybe it is a fail, maybe it is just what is needed to finish oneppiece. We will see later on.

In this arc Oda replaces most of the SH, their fights etc. with a lot of other, new characters. It is not business as usual. For some people, who can only think in one direction, it maybe has been too complicated.

Why did Oda do that? Simple. Luffy cannot be Pirate King with just the SH crew. This arc is the setup of Luffys fleet, his allies.

And besides that, Oda finishes with the last remaining villain of the first part.

In my opinion to deviate from the standard, in this arc, was a risky experiment and Oda did not succeed 100%. But I love that Oda tried something new. He just doesnt like to recycle old schemes. Chapeau!

I do like Luffys look. The manga took a turn after crossing the red line. It got more action oriented, more grown-up, less funny and childish. That is needed to finish the manga.

Well, it is quite obvious that Luffy wont defeat Dofla that easy right now.
Zoro will play an important role, cutting the birdcage will weaken Dofla crucial, I guess.

In my opinion, Oda should resume Nami and Sanjis storyline again. Some variety would be good now.

Fights in One Piece are getting worse. I could handle the quick fights without much tension on Fishmen Island because I was looking forward to the New World. But Oda has crammed too many characters in this arc and that has led to Donflamingo's crew being almost as bland as Hody Jones' crew. I expected DD's crew to be sort of similar to Baroque Works but with their own traits, but they haven't come close to that. I think Oda should tone down the amount of characters involved in the next arc and focus on the Straw Hats and their villains, with a fewer allies. The plotline has been okay for Dressrosa, but it could have been better with the potential of Donflamingo's character. The speech about dreams on Jaya hasn't been as emphasised as I thought it would. I'm expecting a really powerful ending to this arc, with a twist or two.

It is not getting worse, it is different in my opinion. If we would read something similar like Baroque Works many would complain "repetition".

This chapter would have been better, if I gave a dam about Pica. Zoro kind of killed Pica threat level off 22 chapters ago.

Pica is in some way behaving like Zoro pre time skip ("stop being stubborn"). This way Oda shows us Zoros evolution (having a very good plan which worked out of the box).

Great chapter, great art. I like most that Zoro is still unharmed. Whos next?

The chapter was ok. I liked the ending. Zorro having a plan, good thing. The arc is great fo far. I guess Oda rushes the fights because he needs chapters later on, when the real guys enter the stage. About Doflas crew being lame. Indeed, but crocs crew wasnt that strong either. Thats why Dofla is the chief and the crew, is …just... the crew. I didnt expect something else from the beginning.

I could not count the number of posts which complained about Rebecca. One Piece is simply great. Great story.

Another wonderful episode. Princess makes me cry. She is so cute!

This chapter was awesome. Simply awesome. I cant remember when I had this fun reading One Piece!

I suggest reading Kyros flashback again. Then one understands that he doesnt want his children to fight with a sword, kill, like their father.
