Yup. Do i have genuine reasons though? Of course. Shovel Knight became the face of indie games. Hell, other indie games throw Shovel Knight into THEIR games because of how danged awesome he is. Its that simple premise/design that just cements him as a character.
So the Nintendo connection? Consider this, this was a kickstarter funded game, not many success stories there. Especially of this magnitude. Only until this month, Shovel Knight was a nintendo exclusive for consoles, oh sure they're coming out to sony and microsoft now, thats just smart business. Butā¦ think about it, this is Yacht Club's first game, they have no clue if it will be succesful or not at the time. And despite the risk of their game not reaching many people they release it on Nintendo's consoles first. In fact during those indie showcases Nintendo advertised the hell out of this game. Its not even done yet either we've got more campaigns on the way, for FREE.
...and lastly. No matter where you play this, PC, Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony. This was built with the original NES in mind. In design, gameplay, and presentation. But most importantly it's just fun.
Plus ive seen tons of support for him anyway above many others MUWAHAHAHAHA
