It's just a completly different setting. There were a lot more dying people in Naruto then in OP from on the beginning. OP focuses on a single group, Naruto is more like the story of a whole village with one person in the center. I personally like both, 'though the dead of some persons is really strange for me. I liked Jiraya the most, he's been just like me (except my hair is black :ninja:)…
But hey, what about all the comparisons? It's not needed. Each series has its own way of the ninja, everyone has good and bad issues... So I just don't care...
I'm really excited for the new Naruto-chapter. I still hope Kakashi might be alive (Tsunade said "if you get them to the hospital quickly, they might still have a chance", plus after Choji asked about him, she just said "hurry"… He's definetly at the brick of death, but not confirmed dead)...
