Law inherited a part of Rosis DF. He saw him dying. Luffy did the same with Ace‘ power. He saw him dying. BB did it with WB. Big Mom with Caramell. There had to be some connecting to this.. BB and Big Mom got all of it, while Luffy and Law just received a few bits. Might be interesting to know the mechanics behind this.

I think Luffy’s fruit still makes sense. He is the main character after all. Shanks wanted to get his hands on especially this fruit. Someone got punished for letting it slip into enemies hands. And it was said, that they fear the AWAKENING of this fruit. It was always a power that was not as threatening as a logia or stuff, more like a toy. And previous users might not have been able to take it to the extend of a awakening just because of this. But have a look at how far Luffy was able to get with it even without awakening. Most of us are thinking if he awakens it, he’ll be able to change the environment into rubber. He can basically switch the rubber everywhere between being just rubber to be hard as diamond.. Add his haki to this. He can create a two walls and knock every opponent between the two of them till he is done for, no matter the size or the power of the enemy. No one can escape this trap unless he has a stronger power of will - which will never happen because Luffy is just the main protagonist of the series. And to take it to the extreme - he can trap ships in between, multiple enemies, even hole islands.. nothing would be able to withstand this for a long time.

First half is paradise, second half is a nightmare… seems fine for me..

I don't even think about "getting a DF by eating someone… It's a SOUL Fruit, and we all do know, that DF may come with a certain special... So it might be just a case to this specific fruit. I wouldn't mind at all... But one thing is for sure I think: The SHP have a special connection to the Giants of Elbaf... So we will end up with Luffy being the reason BigMom and the Giants will have a first contact to make peace... It'll be like Shanks and WB - definetly rivals, but if needed, working together would be more likely than just to beat her...

Haven't read a lot of topics lately, so: did someone already think of th Boston Tea Party? It'll be th event everyone will declare to be free from BM as Luffy beats her. That was always the way Luffy made alliances: free them from the enemy, gaining their up-to-death connection to him, without making them his underlings but to let them be living freely… It'll be his second second yonkou-crew as backup after WB's... I bet we'll see them back in action when Luffy will be fighting BM. Yet, his crew is not able to handle a yonkou. That is why Luffy wants to go alone. He already had the instict to realise, if his crew was not able to handle the opponent.

Blackbeard won't be killed or die at the end of OP… He'll kneel down before Luffy, accepting him as his leader (as the King of Pirates)... BB always had his own way of justice, as all important characters left. See the moment he told Luffy Sky island does exist, or as he told Burges not to lay a hand on Ace, cause he'd be no match. And him being a D, he'll bow his head, and Luffy will be the one forgiving.

I don't think any of the supernovas will die... They were built up to be the main actors on stage of the new generation, slowly taking over... WB is already gone, Shanks surely will, not to speak of BM and Kaidou... Several Shichibukai have already fallen and been replaced... WB said it himself, a new era is about to start. And none of the big players of this generation will be killed. Not gonna happen.

Brook's DF. He managed to be Sanji to look like dead, business kept his soul in store to make him alive again. That is.

One piece is obviously having all pirates of the world gathered under your command… Means, you are free to do whatever you wanna do, and also it really makes you a king...

What I think is an important question: Will we get to see another G4-techniques besides Bounce Man? Luffy will have to use G4, I think nobody doubts this… So it would be away to show "I'm not even close to my strongest attack", but also a little to soon when it comes to the progress of the story...

It would also make sense just to take them away from enemies just in order to weaken them… If your Crew is the only one to have DFs, you're basically unbeatable...

Doffy's fruit is not overpowered, it's just having complete control and mastery about it.

Purple hair is a no go for that fruit. I would like him to have another fruit already, as his crew seems to have quite a big storage to choose from… It would be awesome if he shows against Sabo, he just didn't need to use his fruit so far... As one of BB longest crewmembers, it would be lame if he wasn't strong as hell... C'mon guys, everybody knows the SH will fight against BB and his crew... They both have the same amount of time till they're clashing, so the shouldn't be that bug jumps in strength one sided from know on, and if, than in Luffy's favor...

According to the fact that Luffy was using Gear 4 for about twenty minutes, I think it is a quite impressiv technique… I'm expecting the fight to be over already... Once Zorro will cut up the birdcage, Doffy will collapse from his injuries Naruto-style... He is already beyond his limits... He can't walk properly, he doesn't speak any longer, nothing. He is done for.

Just rewatching the latest anime episodes… Habe you ever thought of Sabo's Dragon Claw being something like Haki 2.0? I think nobody doubts he learned that technique from Dragon, that is just toooooo obvious... But just imagine, it's like adding some sugar to your Cake... Not only can you hit any opponent, and grab him to brake/slice/stab whatever at the same time... Maybe Gear Four eveven has to do with that Dragon Claw... Ralyleigh could easily know of that, there should be any doubt... And it would be great for Luffy to have a technique only he and his family know (Sabo seen as his brother, Reyleigh doesn't count for being a retired legend)

Of course Plant would make sense. Speaking of the admirals as one blooming flower, you need light to raise a plant, and without gravity, there would be no soil for the plant to grow in. The three of them makes the picture complete. And I would like a Plant-Logia. Just image he could create a tree, hitting enemies with… And so far, we have seen that some of the SHs use tricks to imitate DF... Nami can launch electricity like Enel, Sanji can make his legs burn like Ace/Sabo, Frankys Airgun is like Kumas pawn... Just a light-version of it... Usopp has his green bits... Would be fitting.

Buggy, who else? Oda definitely knows who it will be - he told the ending to a dying child, granting her one last wish.

I still think G4 is the same as G3 but instead of infusing air into his bones, he puts Haki in. Normally, CoA is like a coat, G4 makes the whole body-part made of Haki.

I think the treasure is a book containing all the infos of the void century explaining why the nobles do what they do and what is thier legitimacy of their role in the world…

Don't know if it has been mentioned before, but am I the only one seeing Garp on Page 2? Though I doubt he would work together with criminals, working with the Revolution army would be fine (just look at the leader…). And DoFla beeing a Businessman in the first case, I can definetly seeing him selling weapons to everybody that has the Money needed... I can also seeing him punching Luffy when they meet next - "YOU have been the one to cause us lose that war? Damn you, Brat!" Plus, I think Luffy will be the one eating the mera-mera. His would be perfect to handle to DF, he won't explode because he's rubber. And his attacks already seemed to be connected to Ace', it would be a perfect power-up and one of the only ones I can think of. He will sooner or later face BB (so he'll Need to have more than just rubber & haki), he will face Akainu, who already showed to have s stronger DF than Ace had. So Luffy telling him "You may beat fire, but you won't overpower fire-vulcanized rubber!" would be great. And I can also see him eating it be accident. "This is the fruit you dreamed of, Luffy; here take a look - WWHHAAT, the case is empty???" - "Oh, you mean THAT fruit? I already ate because I thought it would be tasty, but it smelled like shit"

I also believe it is vegapunk. We do know, he was able to clone a DF's abilities as seen at Kuma having Kizaru's laser. So it might be possible, that he (at least after Akainu got big boss) demands to research the DF of everyone that becomes one of the seven warlords, choosing the best to improve his army of cyborgs. So it might be possible, that he somehow managed to make someone (or even himself) able to steals hearts just like Law can do…

Big Mom uses FI to produce candy for her. CC seems to have Candy that has a drug in it. So, it's kinda obvious it should be BM that Luffy has to challenge. CC develops the drugs, Big Mom uses them. And after BM will be done for, Fishmen Island will have no one to protect it. So countless Pirates will come to take the island over. Luffy, on his way to conquer the world, surely won't want to stay on this island just to protect it. So with a "from now on, no one will try to harm you; from now on you are free!"-speech he will destroy FI instead, completing both Otohime's prophecy and Madam SureISuckWhatever's forecast. I hope OP is not THAT predictable…

About these kids at PH: I think these are the base to create pacifistas. We do know, that the pacifistas (as well as Kuma) are taller than average humans. We also know, that there has to be some kind of human blood / body to create one of them. I think, Vegapunk and or the marines / WG took bigger children away from there parents telling them they were ill and they'll be treated. Instead, they are raised, get a plastic surgeon to make them Kuma-lookalikes and then get their minds erased. And the parents simply get told their kids just died. So nobody misses them, and even if some of them really don't survive ('cause it also seems as if VP still does human experiments), it doesn't matter at all.

I think in the end all strawhats are similar but stronger equivalents of the worlds strongest forces. Luffy has a df that allows him to do really strong attacks and to take heavy hits as well as bb. Zoro - no need to explain. Strongest swordsman. Nano with her weather abilities -> dragon. Franky shoots lasers - kizaru. Brook has ice - aokiji. Sanji uses fire. Robin has maybe the greatest knowledge of all pirates alive. And since mk we know, there is no knowledge that is not power… To me it seems like "you may have a ssj df, but we found our one way to kick your ass using your power"...

I hope we'll see a coverstory of Mr.2… I doubt he died: Luffy already has his "death experience to get stronger" that almost every Manga has... A second one wouldn't make any sense. It wouldn't create another "I have to be stronger to save my friends", as well as Luffy wouldn't say "That's a bad thing, but never mind the ones that have gone". He surely is alive. Magellan was said to be near death after BB left, and we do know that at least one of BB's crew has the antidope (the sword-guy ^^). And for knowing BB so far - he seems to have his own kind of justice as well as let's say Aokiji. I do think he ordered to give Mr2 the antidote in order to survive. "Tell Luffy to be thankfull to me when we meet again" would IMHO fit BB's character...

Naahh. Ace is in Luffy's heart, it was his to begin with. All Luffy needs now is a rinnegan and he's complete

It's as confirmed as BB won over Ace after the fight happend. It's kinda obvious…

I don't think you can compare these two things. Sure I do remember Luffy vs. Ussop. But it's a bit different with Kidd. He knows about Killer weakness, strenghts, personality as well. Luffy is special in this way, he was just too dump to make a plan. He wasn't prepared in any way, he just used his power. Kidd would surely think ​when it comes to a fight, I doubt he would act like Luffy in this situation…

I disagree. Killer may be strong, but Kidd with the highest bounty of the SN (at least pre-TS) PLUS his background ("I killed everyone bla bla!") was introduced to be Luffys No1 Enemy in the NW when it comes to strength and loyalty to his dreams. And Kidd's DF makes him a really bad opponent for somebody using weapons made of metal. I still think, there's no way Killer could leave the crew and be left alive…

No way Killer betrayed Kidd and survived that. Kidd was introduced as "I slaughter everybody that stands in my way or at least doubt my dream". If someone of his own crew would betray him, he's practically dead. And if Kidd is not even able to kill someone like Killer, he wouldn't survive even one week in the NW.

You're right, but that's not what I meant. I just wanted to make clear that the SHC won't need to go all out in this arc, but they do show us (the readers) that they've gotten really strong. But I agree with you, basically it's more about story development than about strengh.

Still, I can only see this arc as "show the world how strong Luffy has gotten during the last two years". If he needed to go all out even before entering the NW, it would suck. And the difference in strengh should never be bigger than pre- and past timeskip. Even if he trains a lot after entering the NW, his efforts should happen in a lot smaller steps than during these two years with Reyleigh…

I like the idea that Kidd & Killer fought against the magma-dude. Kidd in way always seemed to have a battle with Luffy and Law, in my eyes these three will be more then a less allied crews by the end of OP. So Kidd maybe heard that Luffy was saved by Law from the threat of an admiral. So maybe he did rescue Bonny from Akainu just to show "I can do that as well, don't mess with me or I'll freakin' kill ya". It would fit Kidd's character, it would explain Bonny beeing still alive, the scars, … I'd really like that!

So this chapter tells me the following things:

Zoro will beat his oponent, but get poisoned to be saved by Choppers new medical skills.

Jimbei will join. If he even gets a panel for fighting alongside the SHC, he's practically in.

These fights won't bring anyone of the SHC close to death. As Zoro said, it's basically a warm up for the NW; or in the reader's point of view: we won't see the most badass attacks of the crew now. After 2 years of training, they should not go all out on a bunch of drug addicts…

OP hasn't ended yet, Jimbei did not join yet. So Oda could show Jimbei's childhood whenever the second before he joins. What's the big deal?

Damn, if only Moria did take Ace' shadow before he died, he could create a zombie with both Ace' body and mind. The first zombie that cries and is stonger dead than alive!

Jimbei definetly is strong. But: his face and surprise when he said "Luffy has grown that much stronger in only 2 years???" was to show that he knows, Luffy will surpass him, if he didn't already. So far, the only one we've seen mastering all 3 kinds of Haki was Reyleigh, and he is old and doesn't have a DF (otherwise he couldn't have swam through the calm belt…); so that should make Luffy the strongest pirate worldwide. Jimbei is clever enough to see development, not to focus on "it's like this now, so I'll decide on that". Plus, he promised Ace to protect Luffy. Plus, we need another good swimmer for the crew, having already 4 DF users in the crew. Plus, Luffy always didn't care about someone beeing different. Plus, Luffy defintely will be a rolemodel to the friendship of humans and fishmen. Plus, Jimbei is no longer a shichibukai (it would be rather pointless to have a shichibukai on the ship that practically keeps the Marines away from attacking the ship...). There are just so many things that point out, it'll be Jimbei, I can't image this not to happen.

The question also is, who long will OP go on after Luffy became PK… Oda could stop exactly at that point, show some "years after"-actions in one chapter, he could let it go on for several years... So far, we know that Luffy will reach his goal (C'mon, it's a manga afterall), but not if that'll be the end of OP. Oda could even finish OP with the message that Hancock is pregnant, creating OP:Z There're just too much unknown factors to say something about Luffy's lifespawn. Fact is, he shortens it by several things, but there's no way to tell how much...

You're completly right, I didn't mean it to happen in this arc, but later on. To mean, Zoro's statement "If he didn't have it, we would have needed a new captain" was a statement, that he has it as well. But in this arc, it really would be pointless for Zoro to use it, I completly agree with you there.

It's a fact, that you can improve your DF abilities via training, that's what I thin happend here. Luffy beeing rubber allows him to expand, gear 3 is basically nothing different, though in a bigger size. He just has a better control over his fruit's power, that's all. And no, it's not different because it's about his bones. He is completly rubber, so his bones as well (more than a less…), and all his other techniques change the bone-shape as well.
