Boom
Maybe it's going to be a story where Jinbei finally goes to tell Big Mom he's leaving the Sun Pirates for theStraw Hats Pirates… And is full on face-faulted to see most of then already there! Young Nami, a charming friend of her daughter Lola, has brought in the captive Caesar Clown, Her ships Doctor is helping with that serious case of reflux she suffers from and that Roguish young Chef is serving her better food than in years! Not to mention, finally a descent musician, and that darling young wano child playing chip there aas well
Who could be rescuing who from what, I wonder, and can' wait to find out.
This. This would be amazing.
Although I suspect Jinbei may be used as an "escape" for the now captured Sunny crew - when meeting with Big Mom, finds Sanji & co, and assists with his 2nd prison break in 2+years.
Great chapter!
Secretly hoping that Usopp's new 'hero' status isn't just a quickly spun lie - it'd be great if he was somehow gaining some infamy as a 'hero' from one of the Syrup Village's "Usopp Pirates", or a gnome from Greestone Forest with a big-mouth….
As Oda seems to have a recurring theme of a peoples 'repressed' - Could the "fairies" just be a rogue group of toys - stealing to stockpile for a revolution?
Zoro's off-hand comments that he's going to kill Luffy one day (often said when Luffy inadvertedly hurts him/gets in his way) has been foreshadowing…
There will be a disagreement or ultimatum at the end of One Piece that will require Luffy to be sacrificed/maimed to protect others - and Zorro will be the one to step-up to the plate to do it
The Next Crewmember thread is currently closed.
And whilst I normally loathe said speculation…and I know this picture was early concept art...
Since the mention of the possibility of fairies I can't get this out of my head:
!

! Granted he doesn't have any 'classical western' fairy features - but I think he kinda looks like the Japanese-fairy equivalent the "Yosei". Granted he's got an almost Kappa-like face though..
Luffy's face when called out for 'not going along with the plan' - priceless.
Also a big fan of Oda holding back on the crew's new techniques - especially the idea that Mansopp's now such a beast, that the beatdown of fodder should only ever occur off-screen.
Having said that - I agree - and hope that Oda uses the next chapter to highlight some of the SH's growth with Franky - and let him not only stall, but BEAT some of Doflamingo's underlings. The kicker would be them fleeing back to Dressrosa with what they thought was SAD…only to find that Franky had emptied/destroyed the supply earlier on.
And going against the grain - I'd be happy to see Chopper cure all of Smiley's victims... but it really needs to be 'built-up' as more of an achievement. I think Chopper's medical abilities have long been maligned. It'd be interesting if CC and/or these underground figures made a comment on Chopper's value as an asset (fanboy)
Probably more of a stupid theory -
I'm pro time-skip, but logistics-wise am doubtful whether Oda would commit to one - as it would likely mean a permanent aesthetic change in his leading characters.
Don't get me wrong, I know we've seen Vivi, Coby and Helemppo change through time but the SH's….not so much. But I still think that a change of this magnitude would = a change in SH's appearance.... and in terms of RL impact, do you really think the sponsor's would go for a 'more grown-up' looking Chopper design for instance??
Then again, now that we've confirmed Bonney isn't just a fodder-fruit - we could have a 'fake out' time-skip..They have the skip and 'change' physically...but then Bonney gets involved......
Please let Law have an ulterior motive for helping Luffy – kinda getting sick of the constant "I'm a hardass but I'll help YOU kid coz YOU got spirit" (Will of D be damned).
A past encounter w/ Dragon?
Received assistance or a connection to some of the civillians the SHs have helped along the way?
Or maybe Law took the opportunity to implant some bomb/mind-control device in Luffy that he'll activate in the showdown? (Maybe not..)
Don't care. Just surprise me please Oda.
