@FKM:
I just see her during Tristan and Co. conversation not on the Pelio pages

But yes she's most likely Gawain
Here, same haircut and dress, really neat on Nakaba´s part.

Welp, that´s one part of Nakaba´s stories I could do without, but at least the rest of the chapter was interesting. Hoping that the guy that most likely is Petelgarde doesn´t defeat Pellio too hard.
And I didn´t notice until someone pointed it out, but during the conversation with Tristan there is a tall short haired girl that appears in the background, she also appears among the people when Pellio and Petelgarde are about to fight. Some say that she may actually be Gawain and that either the armor is empty o she ditchet it and someone else put it on, but maybe she is simply another relevant character, can´t say for sure.
There are still no news about Helck´s anime staff or about when it will come out, but the first volume of the first edition is already out and we also have the cover for the second one.
I am still excited about this, but also a little worried, hoping that it gets the care it deserves.
Dunno, for me everything about Dabi makes sense, he went back home after three years just to see how your "death" didn´t change anything, hell, he even wanted to apoligize to his mom and the rest before that. Perhaps it is because I have seen really, really edgy series, but I don´t find Dabi specially edgy.
I didn´t like AFO having a part to play on this, but at the very least he simply saved his life and then failed to turn him into a pawn because Endeavor already messed his son up, wich is kind of funny when you think about it. Also, I have seen some people compare the hospital where Dabi was with the one that appeared during Overhaul´s flashback, so maybe he also was one of AFO´s spares.
I am not happy to post this since this series really made my week better everytime it aired, but it seems the whole thing about the country full of evil people may be worse than just bad writing: https://vampireheadass.tumblr.com/post/676635682494627840/in-episode-18-of-ousama-rankingranking-of-kings
Personally I don´t think I will keep watching it or reading it, but everyone can draw their own conclusions. Again, sorry to post this, but I thought it is something people would want to know better sooner than later. It really sucks though.
I really liked the episode, but that country of traitors being so fully evil seemed weird, at least in the context of the series were almost everyone is never fully evil or fully good. Maybe we will get more insight on that later, but aside from that the episode was excellent.
After reading the manga until the Despa training I really appreciate how in the anime sometimes they change the order of some scenes or add lilttle extra scenes that go so well with the original material that one doesn´t notice it at all.
I know the thread is dead, but I wanted to share this. Helck will have an anime, although there aren´t more details about it at the moment.

Wondering when she is gonna return, if I remeber correctly Aizawa said that she was already out of the hospital. Also, at first I didn´t notice, but that may be her new prosthetic arm, it looks a lot less robot-like than I thought it would too.
Oh, the grandpa from the one-shot is finally about to fight, can´t wait.
This chapter was a lot better, interesting how Aoyama said that he thought that his parents cared more about him being quirkless that he himself did. That said, the whole reveal really needed a couple more chapters for it to land better, but I enjoyed the chapter nonetheless.
Also, even though if was just a single scene, I really like how much Spinner cares for Shigaraki, hoping that he makes it out alive at the end of the series.
I didn´t notice until someone pointed it out, but in the building close to where they are keeping Machia sedated someone wrote "Kill the beast" and "Not even human" on the walls, wondering what Hori wants to with him going foward.
Regarding the last episode:
! I wonder why Bosse needed so much strenght, perhaps it was for the sake of it, but I hope not. Really interested in learning what the deal with Miranjo is, since she and Bosse knew each other before he was a king.
! Also, the episode was fine, but for the first time it felt like they put too much stuff on it, still fun to watch though.
Pd: My bad, I thought it was an anime thread.
Welp, although the build-up to the reveal could have been a little better, I still enjoyed this chapter. Curious about what it to happen now though, does AFO knows that his traitor wasn´t fully trustwhorthy and gave him a false order?
Also, personally I feel that there was no need for the fake-out with Hagakure, but maybe that´s just me.
I really like this series characters designs, everyone looks so different from one another, my favorites designs so far are Bebin, Apeas and Desha´s. It´s also cool how the author makes them more complex than they appear to be at first glance, suspassing the people´s expectations.
Hoping that it gets a second season though, since it seems the manga just finished it´s first half according to some sites.
Ever since I saw AFO taking that guy´s jaw quirk I always thought Hagakure could be in a similar situation, after all in stories where superpowers exist there are always the trope of the character that would rather do without the power for one reason or another. I also think that Aoyama is also another spy or is aware to some extent of Hagakure´s deal, since they were the only two characters that were unaccounted for during the USJ attack.
Curious about what her deal will be, but so far Dabi´s reveal worked a lot better, even though it was just or more obvious.
I don´t want to get to attached to the lawyer, I haven´t recovered yet from losing Nanami…
Yep, Hori needs to push the brakes, this whole thing would have been better if it didn´t came almost out nowhere. Now, with some luck we may get a very needed flashback of the aftermatch of the war next chapter (my only theory of why he decided to skip it is because he wants to use it later down the line, but perhaps we won´t see it at all)
I am also hoping that the whole class-A gets to to be in the final arc showing off in some way (Momo fighting Midnight´s killer, Iida meeting Stain some way, etc)
Also, before I forget, Hori´s birthday was yesterday, he is now 35 years old. They should really gave him a short hiatus for the guy to rest a little, everytime he gets sicks he apologizes.
I liked the latest chapter, but sadly it would have been a lot better if Stars had screentime before this fight and also if Hori didn´t have a tendency for wasting and sidelining female characters.
That aside, seeing AFO actually desesperate was nice to read, this makes me wonder if this is how Shiggy is gonna end free from AFO, although it could also end with him having a Stars ghost in his head instead.
I like how the story itself admits that Stripes power is childish, like a little kid in a playground shouting his made-up superpowers. That said, I really don´t want Shiggy-Afo to get his hands on it, it´s too broken.
Also, although it was a little too long, the analysis about the quirk was interesting. The fact that either Tomura or Tenko mentioned Mon-chan was a little sad too.
I dunno, perhaps it´s because the meta chapter about fanservice from Fire Force is still fresh on my mind and makes everything look tamer in comparison, but I don´t see either ill intent or the author being full of himself like it did back Fire Force.
It´s just being meta and breaking the 4th wall for the sake of it, like most stories where the characters realize they are inside a fictional world created by others.
I really like this lawyer, wich is amazing considering that he only has one chapter and a half of screentime so far.
I am curious about how the author would have revealed the twist had the series survived more time in Jump, still a nice way to end the series though, revealing Velou´s last name to be Pinocchio? Also the reed hood and mc on the bed was fun as hell, still I don´t understand why they can´t simply create a perfect world.
Once Reed Hood is over I will be looking foward to his next work, not all authors succeed at the first try (Horikoshi and Tabata are good examples), so I hope he tries again.
Just saw something interesting on 4chan, some readers in Japan were able to decipher the runes of the letter thanks to the latest chapter. Fun detail, back at the end of the first arc when the big wolf started talking in runes, he was in fact, singing the first part of the Lucky Star opening.
!
I dunno, unlike Fire Force ´s weird fanservice meta-chapters, to me none of the meta scenes felt like the author trying to dunk on someone (at least during this chapter)
Also, if someone is interested, here is the author´s twitter account: https://twitter.com/KawaguchiTw
The elves really just keep making things worse by jumping to conclusions and not explaining things properly, huh. The whole thing with Marcille could have been avoided if they simply allowed Laius to explain himself and killing him now would only make her go actually mad.
Welp, it´s getting cancelled not doubt about it. It would have been interesting to see how the author was planning to foreshadow this whole thing before having to rush it.
Looking foward to his next series, surprised they didn´t even wait to see how the series would sell though.
Cool chapter, hoping that Star doesn´t lose her quirk though, Tomura is already really damn strong as he is and she hasn´t been around that much to show it off.
Also, her power working on the air itself is kind of weird, does isn´t work if she uses the wrong term? Then again with these kind of powers is better to not think too deeply about them, it´s magic and that´s it.
I forgot to say this last week, but a little more foreshadowing for the USA top heroine would have been nice, then again since her first battle is against the final boss this may well be her "only" fight… Hopefully not, it would be a little lame to show up from nowhere and losing inmediantly.
Still, I liked the everything else, Spinner weirdly enough is a character I care about. Also, Tomura´s question at the end is weird, if he is truly on control again it makes me wonder why he is following AFO´s orders at all.
Dunno, three days until ultimate Shiggy completion feel too sudden, it may be a trap. Stain keeps being cool however, seeing him jumping onto the raging sea was neat.
Regardind the new character, I will have to wait to give an opinion, but so far I am not really fond of the whole flag-like scheme, the huge-ass cape is cool though.
Ok, I like Bonkers now, the fact that he used the hardest exam on the world to make a living is pretty cool.
Sadly, because of the two weeks rock bottom at the toc I don´t have many hopes. I hope it survives though, hoping for at least a little pushing.
Ok, Merrio is pretty cool, I was wondering whose power was the plant they used last week to send the message, but that answers it.
Dunno about letting the baldie be part of the team, he seems like the kind of guy that will stab you when you are not looking, although since there wouldn´t be any benefit from doing perhaps it´s safe.
Man, the anime really did Spinner dirty. The episode was fine in general, but the whole arc was butchered from start to finish.
Hell, even though they had completely cut off the intro with the CRC and the scene afterwards where Spinner confronts Shigaraki, they decided to show a flashback of Compress sushi joke so they could keep the joke, except it´s not longer a callback at all…
Welp, I sure as hell didn´t have "Stain gives All Might a therapy session" in my bingo card, but that was cool, still want Iida to kick the guy´s ass though. I hope next chapter we see how the villains are doing, it would be fitting considering that their arc in the anime is about to end.
Wait
! What's up with the "You knew the whole time?".
We know that Stain probably saw Toshinori when he visited Shigaraki Sr., but Toshinori didn't have the time to talk to Stain. What's in the paper Stain the Snitch? Also he's been busy, upping his body count from 17 to 40. I bet he made a checklist of post war retired heroes.
! I think All Might meant that Stain knew from the start that he was All Might, I mean if he knows about Kamino, learning about Toshi true form isn´t difficult. Internet is surprinsingly still a thing in MHA´s Japan after all.
This feels like the author trying to mock the people that didn´t like the fanservice or dropped the series because of it, pretty lame. Couldn´t take any of it seriously, Arthur´s meta fight was at least fun, crazy and lacked the ill intent.
Maybe the author wanted to try pulling off Evangelion´s move of mocking the toxic fanbase, but without any grace, weight or good reasong behind it. This makes me appreciate people like Yoko Taro, he at least own the lewd part of their series.
Chapter 10: https://mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1009875
This chapter was my favorite one from the exam so far, really hoping it can make a comeback from the bottom of the ranking.
! Also, the blessing/curse thing is interesting wouldbuilding. I wonder what makes someone a witch in this universe
Enjoyed the last chapter, really hoping they give it a chance. The characters that were on the spread all looked nice, even the Morgan-looking fellow.
I hope that Hori does a sketch to promote the first volume, since the author is a former assistant.
Cool chapter, curious about what will happen next, perhaps it´s time to see the villain´s side again? I am wondering how Spinner, Dabi and Toga are doing without Shiggy. There are also the MLA members that got away, since Hori bothered to get them designs maybe we will see some of them again.
About the shelter thing, maybe she tried first with the irregular ones first? You know, civilians defending their towns and the like. Mha´s seems to have discrimination against muntant-type quirks, but the KKK´s equivalent was out of money meaning they didn´t have that much influence, so I really doubt that a school´s shelter would turn away someone just because of their looks.
Well, that´s a pity, you can see that Hori put a lot of effort in all the details they cut off. Things like Spinner´s showing empathy towards Shiggy after doubting him, Redestro´s joker-like commercial or the Sushi´s joke were all good parts of this arc, that sucks.
Also, the existence of that racist sect on the MHA´s universe was also an important part of wouldbuilding, something that MHA really needs.
It seems that Helck will be released in italian next October, I don´t think it will ever be released in english, but it´s nice to see an official version outside of Japan.
Still, I hope that there will be an english version someday…
Pretty cool chapter, I really liked how Midoriya and Bakugo went from their early childhood until their current selves during the speech, it was a nice touch. The apology was nice and really needed, but it makes me wonder about how Bakugo will act from now on.
Overall I really liked this arc, but Hori could have used a few more chapters on the aftermatch of the War arc and then some more for class A (without Deku) around, in the middle of the Dark Deku´s arc. That said, it was a good arc, looking foward to Uraraka´s moment next chapter.
At the very least I hope they change the op a little when MVA finally starts, still a little sad that they spoiled the result of the battle to the anime-only´s fans. Still Kurogiri´s part shouldn´t take that long, so maybe next episode they will also show Redestro´s introduction and finish with Gigantomachia´s kicking the league´s asses.
