By this point I'm like "ehh, OK". Which sad, but it's the way it is.
Did anyone come close with any theories?

Fascinating stuff from two longtime fans. munches popcorn
Right in the nostalgia.
Latest few chapter since the confession have been so…awwwww. Wonder how much longer this will continue. Not that I wouldn't keep on reading till they graduate or something. And beyond.
Isn't linking to manga what gets us hit with DMCAs? =/
And Ichou got to Komi first :'D
I am kind of confused by the terms Monarch and Rulers considering they mean the same thing.
Wrong both in the context of the manga and of the word. /douche
Nah, that was actually Vinland. They just gotta scram so they won't get skewered by the Natives =D
Incoming redraw in one month where Murata scraps blast introduction altogether.
Don't jinx it.
And why the hell are the forums so freaking slooooooooooow?!!
Alright, that's news for me and welcome indeed. At least I know not to get my hopes up for the current arc. Even though it'll probably mean Manbagi will be rejected and then it'll take another couple IRL years for Komi (or Tadano?) to make a move xD
Miura has been using it time to time since Isidro was introduced, like Puck imitating Master Yoda.
They're so good. And that Kelpi looked just liked Jar Jar Binks =))
Oh look, there'S more than one person discussing this manga in a thread :D
I just recently caught up (and even did a quick re-read for the awwwwwww moments) this manga. So wholesome.
So, any bets on some actual progress happening before the trip ends, one way or another?
@Maes:
RIP Manbagi, lol.
Most looking forward to Naruse and Ase shenanigans now. I don't know what to expect from the other groups, but it could be good.
Btw Katai looked hella cute in 286??? And he shows a little bit of interest in Manbagi, so there's hope for that ship.
Katai and Manbagi would be a nice ship. Damn I wish Tadano could just end up with both x))
So what is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and why did it sell so ridiculously well this year?
And what is this Jujutsu Kaiden that also seems to be doing crazy well in sales?
Is there actually a new generation of good manga out there at the moment?
KnY doesn't seem to be anything too special, but the anime was apparently really well made. Gotta check it out at some point.
Jujutsu Kaisen is quite good, but I'm not that much into it like other people seem to be.
Thanks for the translation. I also don't think OP will finish any earlier than 2027. I'd be surprised if it did.
The bunny's not joining, it's Yamato or bust.
(inb4 the same thing happens as the time I was thinking Paulie would join lmao)
AGAIN, it's a publicity stunt to keep Trump happy, not a legitimate court request. Just like the last 51 arguments that were thrown away within hours.
And its NOT the entire states asking this, its one guy per state that Trump pressured on the phone.
They're saying it because their base (and Trump) has no idea how it works so it looks like they're doing something when they're actually doing nothing and running down the clock till Monday and earn another 50 mill in the meantime from people that can't afford it. And they'll complain and campaign on it for the next four years, but nothing is coming from it. .
It was LOCKED IN two days ago.
On Tuesday a lot more Republicans will be willing to say "whelp, I guess its decided, nothing we can do." after babysitting the child and his base and fucking with democracy.
Similarly Trump is insisting his goons investigate Hunter Biden so that can be a news story again. Nothing is going to come of that either.
You're right, they're putting on a show, but it's a huge disgrace and it's going to bite the US hard in the democracy.
Aren't the MAGAs in Georgia planning to boycott this senatorial run off?
It'd be a damned beautiful sight to behold if they actually stay at home and the Dems win.
Followed up by tons of "THE ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED" tweets. So disgraceful, really.
I had some fun with a guy on disqus who for some incredibly stupid reason held out hope that Trump could make a comeback in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona, & Wisconsin or somehow get those results overturned. Once I pointed out that there was No chance of them flipping back in addition to the fact that if Nevada was called for Biden it was a wrap he oddly went silent.
Also apparently not conceding in elections you lost isn’t only for Trump.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/martha-mcsally-refuses-concede-arizona-214413176.html
These people are beyond stupid.
It's not about being stupid, it's about people starting to believe in alternate realities. And this won't end well when our reality and theirs will come to clash.
The GOP going along with this shit is not good at all. But at least 80% of Americans seem to believe Biden won according to a poll, so it could be worse.
Wouldn’t call 5 days of insomnia fun but it was what it was.
Funnier than the politics thread I'm in on NF where we have a good handful of Trumpists still throwing around with conspiracy theories. Those guys aren't being banned over there. Though pointing out their baseless accusations is somewhat fun too, though it's taking its toll after the 1000th time.
Damn, the forums have been around for like a week again and I forgot to check if they're back on. Would have been fun to follow the elections with you guys. Was too lazy to search for the right Discord link…
So glad Biden made it. Let's hope he'll also get to be sworn in on time....
@The:
Biden is apparently pulling all negative trump ads because of his diagnosis. Does he even want to win?
That might be a good move.
@RoboBlue:
It could be worse.
Kaitlan Collins from CNN wants him to suspend his campaign.I think removing the negative ads isn't the worst strategy, because it allows the fact that he put himself and millions of Americans in the hospital out of sheer stupidity to overpower all other news and likely remain the dominant story through November 3rd.
Suspending the campaign, on the other hand, would be just dumb.
I really really hope that the IRS is the all devouring monster that is portrayed in media.
For you it is. But for a large corporation or a billionarie it is a domesticated puppy
Exactly what I wanted to say. It's crazy and absurd how millionaires/billionaires can end up paying shit all in taxes after writing off incurred debt but can still go on to live the high life on yachts and whatnot. 730$ for a year? F off.
Also it's quite ironic that the tax refund for which he's in clinch with the IRS right now was due to an Obama reform after the recession.
But in general, I can't see how this is going to do anything in terms of swaying voters. Democrats should use it to annoy the shit out of Trump though, at least.
Nice publicity stunt. Dunno if another member's joining when we hit 1000 though. It's probably meant as a celebration of OP and the crew, nothing more.
Trump can't win a fair election. There's no worry about that.
The problem is he's doing a LOT of cheating including destroying the post office. And that makes things more of a toss up.
ANd yeah, red mirage can be a thing if walk in versus mail in votes really skew the way they've been polled as doing and thats a bit of potential nightmare. If Trump is declared winner on election night, even if its really too close to call, we're going to have problems.
Maybe not even that. There's an article on 538 that's about how people will perceive all the votes being counted later than normal (since there'll be more votes by mail than ever before) and how the candidates will react given the preliminary results. Things can get really messy.
A republican president calling the troops suckers and losers should be a reelection ender right?
Right???
Not if his name is Trump.
I find it funny how people are still coming out saying "this is the end for him" after all the things he's said and done.
How do you come back from that? lol That video from the Danbury Mayor video was comedy gold.
This is John Oliver we're talking about, he'll figue it out.
They named a sewage plant after him lmao
I'm still waiting for him to address that :D
Speaking purely for myself
Re: Defeatism
Declaring Trump will absolutely win just comes off to me as baseless doomsaying that is (a) unproductive and (b) ignores the polling that has Biden leading in just about every state that isn't dyed in the wool red, and even some of them are leaning purple. It's one thing to be concerned Trump can still win, he can and he's trying to rig things as much at he can to achieve that, but there's a balance between "We can't lose!" and "We can't win!"Re: Biden's Flaws
I've said as much already, but as far as I'm concerned Biden's flaws or potential weaknesses as a President are irrelevant until he's sworn in on Inauguration Day. Then, and only then, will any issues he might have as a leader matter. If he doesn't win, then his issues are as irrelevant as Hillary Clinton's and Bernie Sanders's.And if Biden does lose? If Donald Trump wins a second term despite his utter incomptetence and blatant and obvious attempts to cheat the system (which, incidentally,
) then the United States of America will owe the rest of the world an apology but, other than that, will have proven that it deserves whatever happens to it, far as I'm concerned.
I agree with your views on these things, excluding maybe the flaws. You do consider how a candidate will be as potential president, flaws included. It's all about context and competition though, so against Trump they shouldn't be much of an issue.
I'm following the polls and it doesn't look too bad at the moment, it's just that Covid makes everything even more insecure regarding the voting outcome. Election night will be one hell of a night.
We got another 10 years for sure. Would be surprised if he's done any sooner.
There are two guys i really should introduce you to
Ivotas? Haha I got no idea, but I've recently seen a post by him and remembered him from years ago.
I've become quite disillusioned with OP sadly.
I think just about everything that has happened to her has fit her character. In particular, the Olin stuff fulfilled a what-if that was apparent after her flashback (what if Streusen wasn't her main influence in life after adulthood).
That's at least one positive aspect, if you'd like to put it like that, I guess.
Quite the opposite for me.
We know that Luffy will defeat Kaido in the end, alone or less so.
The 5-part structure, imo, allowed for a wider shock. What with Kaido wiping the floor with the Sulong minks and the Scabbards in part 3, and the SHs having to look for an alternative, and to knock Kaido out, in part 4 (with P5 being the party and Momo being declared Shogun alongside a regent).
But now, 2 parts short of whai I was expecting (and I stress the I because I know this to be entirely subjective), all the nuisances are gone, most of the shortcuts will be taken, and Kaido will fall without too much surprise. It's one thing to have an exotic recipe cooked based on impressions, an another to have an exotic recipe followed down to a T–they're both tasty, but the latter is way more memorable.
At the same time, I understand Oda's tiredness. Spending most of one's adult life writing the same story becomes tidiuous. But, however popular that story might be, it looses a lot of intrigue once the author shows he wants to reach the end regardless of the inconsistencies shown along the way. Even knowing that he wants to spend more time with his wife and daughter, I lose some respect for Oda because he knew what he was going into when he started writing this, though now he's no longer willing to deliver on that tacit promise.
How is it surprising when you already expect him to wipe the floor with everybody and for them to get back at him after that?
That set-up would be even worse IMO, since the deck can't be more heavily stacked to the SHs advantage as is. If Kaido does beat everyone here, I feel like him losing afterwards would be subject to some big PIS/plot armor shenanigans. Or the SH fleet might arrive, who knows. But I guess he can make it work either way. We'll see.
The 5-part thing happened when someone from abroad looked up kabuki on Wikipedia and assumed that's how it had to be w/o thinking/knowing what any of it means.
Jo-Ha-Kyu
That's the most well-known breakdown.
One or two of those (Ha iirc) is broken into two or three parts.
But that doesn't mean it's not three major parts.
Now if memory serves, Oda hasn't used those terms. So he's free to do whatever the hell he wants. But the way some people pictured this arc taking years and years from the start of the battle are waaaaaaay off. Even for a length optimist like myself.
I do concede he could cut-away when things look bleak and have it be less than a chap away from action. But i think even the so-called 'away' action would all be strongly moving in the direction of Wano.
This is actually some good news. I was wondering how he'll fit in everything to work in those 5 parts, especially since this does seem to be quite the climax we're in now.
So what do people around here think of Big Mom being used as a joke character?
With those annoying ads and the anti-adblocker stuff they had, I'm not really sad to see them go tbh. Wasn't using the site that much anymore anyway.
There is a big lead, but Biden’s lead right now is close to identical to Hillary’s in 2016 at this point in time (though she had a convention bump) (but also the president wasn’t actively preventing people from voting by mail)
All in all, national and battleground state polling at this point suggests that Biden is in a better position to win 270 electoral votes — and the presidency — than Clinton was at this point in the cycle.
And the comparison is being made to Clinton's peak numbers.
Some interesting articles on this issue. Trump can still be a huge pain in the butt if he really really doesn't want to leave the WH.
Oh, damn. I never knew this. I learned something new! ^^
You…still have much to learn.
And before you take him at his word, here's a a link!
I'd like to vote for Yamato, but maybe Oda is just done with new crewmates.
I really like the polls and disapproval rates shown on 538. Looks very good for now, but remember: there are still four months left till the actual election!
That's some bump right there. Nearly 15 years.
Did you the search or did you go all the way back manually?
Exactly what I was thinking. Admirable though how he found it.
Something tells me Chocolove might be an issue in 2021.
Ouch.
You needed to see it when you were a kid and when it was the 90's. It's a product of its time. It's still fine but no, it hasn't aged great if you have no nostalgia for it.
I always liked the sequel better because they went so crazy with it. It's not as beloved but it they weren't just repeating formula.
Yeah, thought so. Though if they changed up the formula for the 2nd movie it might be worth watching it. Though I guessed it has aged quite badly as well?
I watched the first movie not too long ago for the first time, mainly because I wanted to see what Keanu was up to when he was young. Was not that great tbh, IMO at least.
That might actually be useful now that there's been an increase in people drinking or inhaling disinfectants.
Wait what, that's an actual thing? Can't read the article.
Damn.
Yay, FiRsT pAgE.
Wonder if this thread will explode in November.
It´s mind boggling how people actually bought this.
Buy what? Only looked at the first 5 seconds to see what it's all about.
It's mind boggling how this can even be a talking point anymore after 4 years of Trump.
Worth watching? Will probably do so anyway at some point. Enjyoed the first two seasons.
So basically what it comes down to, if you're against money in politics, and the current state of wall street and the pharmaceutical industry you're not a real democrat. The careers of the party leadership are predicated on those things, so that makes you their enemy. They still allowed him to run as a democrat so doesn't that make him a democrat? What is a 'real' democrat? Was FDR not a real democrat for oposing elites? Is that not the spirit of the party to stand up for the working class? AOC also trashes the dem establishment and at least Nancy Pelosi hates her. Is she not a real democrat either?
Read Kaiolinos posts. This is about politics. If you don't even try to get along and oil some wheels, then you can't be surprised afterwards when things didn't work out. His beliefs aren't helping either, that's for sure.
Even if Pelosi hates AOC, she's part of the party. She's playing the game and if she plays her cards right, the left-wingers might come out on top. Of course there are power plays even in a party. It's an even bigger problem when you're standing outside of it.
