I exchanged One Piece for Tokyo Ghoul?
Goddamnit…

Can we please put this bullshit retentionist talk to rest once and for all?
I was just catching up on this thread and felt like pointing out that you were like, literally, the ONLY person talking about this for PAGES, unless whoever you were arguing with had their posts deleted or something.
Haha, yeah, they butchered that intro. Sucks cause it's one of the best ones.
There are gonna be recap eps eventually anyway.
That's true. There's totally that part in the middle of the Enies Lobby arc where everyone is all lined up that the series goes into, like, a 5 episode recap of the personal backstories of all the Strawhats up until that point.
Personally, I think their choice of starting points is a smart one.
Picking the point of switch-over to HD means everything is going to look great(those original episodes of One Piece look pretty rrough now).
Plus, it's a short trip from 207 to the Water 7/Enies Lobby arcs. Which are two of the most interesting, exciting, character and world developing arcs in the entire series.
Not to mention, Opening 5 is still probably my favorite one in the series.
So, quick question. Has there been any talk about releasing One Piece from the switch to HD on in Blu-ray yet? Or does anime pretty much just not do that?
Also, I've officially switched to buying the Collections now instead of the Voyages. Any word on when 9 is coming out?
Heh, I came here looking for DVD info and saw the new title of this thread.
Awesome news. For a brief period at least, One Piece, Naruto and Bleach are all going to be on the same television block. And that is, frankly, beyond awesome.
I hope it gets the audience it deserves this time.
I own all of season one, all of season two except for the 7th Voyage(because it's all filler) and all of season three except for 5th Voyage(because it's all filler).
I don't own the 8th movie(because, why bother).
I pretty much waited till the price on a volume dropped to $25 before I bought it. Because $45 for 13 episodes is stupid.
Of this I was unaware…in any case, As I said before, I've not seen Naruto, so I can't comment on it, but the break between Dragonball and Dragonball Z is a clean enough one that a person can watch one without watching the other and not be lost or confused with the story. This doesn't seem to be the case with One Piece. Can anyone verify for me whether this is the case with Naruto? Is there a clean break in there?
The break in Naruto series coincides with the series first large time skip(3 years). The break between DB and DBZ accompanied both a time skip and a focus shift in the series.
It would make sense if One Piece's first large time skip also resulted in a new series title.
