It was a solid chapter. I also thought Chinjao would be a tougher opponent but on the other hand I'm curious about Luffy. We know that Luffy's Busoshoku abilities still needed development (I remember when Hody bit Luffy without any big problems). So if Chinjao's head is really that hard then it seems like Luffy improved his Busoshoku skills in some way. Well but it was quite refreshing to see Garp. So now I guess we can finally expect the start of the "main event" of this arc, well whatever let's see.

RE: Japanese language
The phrase is "rei wo iu" which does mean thank you. "rei"「礼」is thanks or gratitude and "iu" is to say. I wouldn't know for sure but in the contexts that I've seen it used it seems like a more formal and masculine way of expressing gratitude.
I see thank you very much for clarifying this.

RE: Japanese language
Hey I have a little problem with a phrase. Well it's all about a little phrase from Zoro, here's the scene:
it's somewhere around 11:50 min when he says "Thank you". But this phrase sounds so unfamiliar. In this video it's translated as "thank you" but I guess it could also be a more formal way to express gratitude but I don't have any idea, since I don't know how to spell this word. So it would be really cool if someone could tell me the word and a more precise translation.

RE: Hajime no Ippo
Sorry to ask if it's already mentioned, but when will the anime start airing?
This fall but there isn't any announcement for a specific date so far.
-
RE: Untitled
My favourites are Garp, Sengoku and Ao Kiji. Garp and Sengoku are truly honourable men, that's a great attitude. And Ao Kiji… well if more people would be like him, the world would be a better place, just an awesome guy. Wel but none of them are active marines anymore.
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
That looks really great. I hope it will surpass Strong World, this movie would have the potential to achieve this. Well I'm really looking forward to this and it seems like the animation will be marvelous (since Strong World I'm waiting to see such a great animation again). I can't wait to see new revelations.

RE: Naruto and Bleach II: I don't have the heart to care anymore.
Well what should I write… 2 really bad chapters and it seems like Kubo and Kishimoto just don't give a f*ck.
Well I guess this current Naruto arc is one of the worst arcs I've ever seen. The whole manga is just ridiculous. I can't understand why so many people support this shit.
I guess this pic describes says a lot about this chapter/arc...
….well and Bleach... just horrible and I think the Bottom 5 in the ToC is the right place for this piece of crap that Kubo gives us now.

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
It seems like this ToC is a fake.
That TOC is definitely fake. Looking at the Mangateers RAW's:
Medaka Box started on page 369 and finishes on page 390 and Bleach starts on page 391.
It is impossible for Kochikame to be between Medaka and Bleach. The Medaka Box early spoiler probably just made another mistake yesterday saying that Kochikame was below Medaka and the guy that posted the fake TOC went along with it.

RE: Chapter 669: The Strategy Commences
Chapter was good, not as awesome as last week but it was nice. The next few chapters should be really interesting.
-
RE: Naruto and Bleach II: I don't have the heart to care anymore.
Well Naruto was so unspectacular as always I mean the whole war is just ridiculous … as for me Kishimoto ruined Madara I mean it's Madara but look now...
As for Bleach, darn Kubo it's a new rock bottom, unbelievable so many redundant character in one chapter ... oh and this http://www.mangapanda.com/bleach/494/19 - 1000 deaths in 7 minutes wtf… and all of that quincy charas they really look awkward ...oh and the whole Kira thing, well I really don't care if he'll die but we know that Kubo has some trollpower so...
-
RE: What arc did you NOT like?
Well the arcs that I really didn't like were the Ice Hunter and the Davy Back fight arcs, but I don't like any of the filler (not a big filler fan so…). And from the main story it would be the Thriller Bark and Fishman Island arcs.

RE: Chapter 668: Pirate Alliance
This chapter was awesome. So there'll be alliance between Luffy's and Law's crew, now I'm very excited. Robin was hilarious, pretty funny chapter. Oh and the confirmation that Sanji and Zoro has also Haki is superb. That was one of the best chapters lately.
-
RE: Chapter 667: Cool Fight
Great chapter :) Darn that would be cool an alliance between Luffy and Law (even though I have the feeling that Luffy will refuse..) but let's see I hope they'll fight together

RE: One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3
One Piece: Pirate Warriors - At Almost 1 Million Copies
The guys over at Namco Bandai Games Japan recently released some of the latest financial numbers and on top is the great Captain Luffy as part of One Piece: Pirate Warriors! In terms of anime games, anyways. The real number one and two on Namco Bandai’s list are Dark Souls, which shipped 1.19 million units and Ace Combat Assault Horizon which followed with 1.07 million unit. However, both of those games shipped figures include the North American and European numbers.
For One Piece: Pirate Warriors, almost 1 million copies (940,000 to be exact) have been shipped since the March 1st release in Japan alone! That number can only going to get larger as the game will be sailing over to Europe in November of this year. North America will be getting a digital release so we’re not sure if Namco Bandai will be able to include it in the “shipped” numbers.

RE: Chapter 666: Yeti Cool Brothers
Quite interesting chapter. Bon clay is alive that's cool. Law and Ceasar Clown their cooperation won't last. I still can't believe that the Yeti Brothers are that strong… well let's see it's not my favourite arc but I hope we'll see some good fights.

@No:
http://www.mangareader.net/bleach/490/10
I worked as a translator of german and I have no idea what the fuck that's supposed to be.I also speak german and I have no idea what they mean with this (and the mangastream version translated the same sh*t). Well Bleach is a special case. I remember the time when it was good (soul society saga) now it's a piece of crap and trolls.

RE: Chapter 665: "Candy"
Given Caesar's manipulative nature displayed so far, I think it's likely he is promising (possibly falsely) something to Law in exchange for his services on the island, probably to do with Law's crew.
Yeah I think it could have something to do with Law's crew I mean I don't see Law as a person who would voluntary cooperate with guys like Ceasar.
-
RE: Chapter 665: "Candy"
Well the chapter was quite good and the pacing is good as always. This arc starts to be really interesting now. I really wonder why does Law cooperate with Ceasar Clown. Magellan looks badass with the scar and I'm happy that he's still in Impel Down.

RE: Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle
Ok I see now that sounds all quite interesting and it looks like you really enjoy it and I think that's the most important thing… workout without any motivation is useless
-
RE: Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle
@Uncle:
I meant to reply to this sooner but I got caught up doing other stuff.
Uh… My training plan is basically just alternating between working out upper body (arms) one day and lower body (legs) the next. And it just sorta keeps going back and forth like that. I prefer to work out five days a week but I've been adjusting myself to my friends' levels and they only work out four days a week. Four is fine but it's not optimal, I'd say five days is the sweet spot.
Each day, regardless of whether we're working out arms or legs, we always work out our abdomens and do cardio exercise. We always do this after our routine for that day. All of the energy in your body releases through your abdomen so it's necessary to work it out, and the cardio is necessary for burning off any excess calories and building endurance. We also immediately drink a protein shake within the first 15 minutes after a work-out; this is supposed to boost the results of the training by four times. Today we drank muscle milk, though (it's all the same difference).
In the way of nutrition, the only essential thing you need to know is to just do more "work" than the amount of calories you've taken in over the course of the day. I believe you're supposed to shoot for 2000 calories a day and either stay under that or break even. The reason people would have you concentrate so much on fruits and vegetables is because they provide beneficial effects in addition to being low in calories but at a minimum, you only need to worry about working more than you eat. That's it.
I've, personally, been staying away from sodas and such and eating lighter meals. I'm not following a particular diet but I'm pretty confident I'm under the calorie cap for each day. You should still consider eating three square meals a day just to keep up your energy and make sure your body is able to function. It's mostly a game of moderation rather than starvation.
Edit: Some quick tips that everyone should already know:
- Eat apples instead of cookies
- Always make sure there's fiber in your diet
- Try to mainly drink water (if you can't stand it, buy this "Mio" stuff; it flavors the water and has 0 grams of sugar)
Yada, yada, yada. Just check this out instead: http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/15-best-diet-tips-ever
I see, that sounds really good. But aren't you afraid of overtraining? Oh and what do you think about supplements like creatine? I personally prefer to train without any supplements just all natural.
Thanks for the link :) it's quite helpful for a softgainer like me

This banners are simply awesome
-
RE: New guy in the park
Well Peg is a good character, she has some good punchlines. And she's not annoying like the most other tv wives.
-
RE: Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle
@Uncle:
That's not entirely true. It is true that you'll lose weight with cardio but without at least some form of minor muscle building, it'll be harder to keep that weight off without working out on a regular basis. Cardio eliminates fat at the time of the work-out but muscle building does the same thing and continues to eliminate fat during recovery (since your muscles will pretty much eat them up). So it's recommended that in addition to cardio, you do at least some muscle building. You don't have to be a body builder, but hitting some light weights should do the trick.
–-
Anyways, as for me, we got another friend of ours to tag along with us to the gym so now our work-out group has gotten even bigger. I made sure that my partner, Brandon, and I completed all of our sets today so I really pushed him. I've been adjusting myself to his level but it's all good. My abs have gotten stronger already as well, which was a nice surprise.
I also met back up with a friend of mine from high school that I haven't seen in a few years. Learned a lot of crazy shit about some other friends' lives, namely that we're all not kids anymore. So that was a pleasant experience. I'll be doing legs tomorrow.
I see, you're right…. so you go to the gym, how does your training plan look like? and do you have a nutritional protocal?
-
RE: Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle
Well I would say the most important thing to lose weigth and stay healthy is the food. The best is to eat nutritious like fruits, vegetables, fish, meat without any fatty sauces and of course to drink clear water. It's enough to go jogging 2 or 3 times a week (and it doesn't have to be that long) cardio-training is always the best way to lose fat and weight.
-
RE: New guy in the park
Uh, duh, man. He's a legend among the manliest of MEN.
True story. I mean he scored 4 touchdowns in one game! …TV shows went full retard after that show
welcome to AP! :D I like your hat.
Haha thanks… Marshall and his hat both just funny

RE: New guy in the park
@GypsyCarts: Thank you Al Bundy is a true legend (and one of my few tv heroes).

New guy in the park
Hello everybody I'm the new guy here…
I have no idea what I should write ... well I'm a huge One Piece fan, my favourite characters are Robin, Luffy and Franky
I also like other anime/manga like Gintama, Cowboy Bebop, GTO...
I guess that's it :wassat: ... if you have any questions, just ask
