No. Nyon referred to her being in love as "love sickness" back in Chapter 522. Her definition of it being, "The yearning for someone you cannot see." As a "virus", it is deadly if you suppress it. Hancock's actions this chapter just reinforce that her love for Luffy is as strong as ever, and not being suppressed, given she wants to ignore law and custom just so she can see him. Common human behavior dictates her expressed concern is due to Luffy's current state. The point I was making was that her behavior and "sickness" can be resolved as long as Luffy recovers fully. I really really really really don't think Oda plans to use the "sickness" angle as a way to force Hancock on to the crew. Nyon is obviously nyot dead, and that's because she didn't suppress her feelings.
She practically is, actually. That aside, "not following" and "suppressing" are the same thing. Like I said, she is basically throwing law and custom out the window for Luffy, which is the opposite of suppressing her emotions. Perhaps you forgot how cold she was and how much she hated men when Luffy was introduced? She's a complete 180 right now, allowing a pirate crew of men to dock on her island and even offering to help make food with her subjects she used to be cold and heartless with.
It seems we are arguing semantics here and how we interpret wording. I see it as a grey area; half full, or half empty and I choose one side and you choose the other. We don't know what happend to Nyon in her past other than she abandoned the island, went on some adventure, and than found a new reason to go back by taking care of the three Boa sisters. She 'assumed' that by having Hancock go with Luffy she would cure herself of the 'sickness', and as can be seen it has not so far. So what Nyon assumes to be true can't be relied on as imperical fact (this being what all she said back in chapter 522 and 523). I see Hancock current predicament perhaps with a tinge of bias to my theories, but I also think your not giving enough credit to other possibilities. Personally I think common deduction would state that by reinforcing the "love sickness not gone" in this chapter, it will not be so easily resolved especially since the original reason her sickness was triggered was because Luffy was leaving her and the island before Impel Down sequence happened. She is seen in this chapter being restrained, not because of her emotions, but her duties as an empress. This returns back to what I mean semantics, there is both proof of her disobeying her duties and her following them even if it hurts her emotionally, thus glass half empty or half full.
Meanwhile to reference some of your other points, she hasn't taken a complete 180 yet, just a 180 from despising Luffy to liking him. She still seems to hate males but tolerates them as necessities in keeping Luffy alive at this point. Also the quote you keep bringing up with Hancock about suppressing her emotions, I personally interpret it to mean the empresses suppressed those emotions because as empresses their duties specifically stated they couldn't will to love another man as they lead an island of women only. This is reinforced in this chapter when Nyon basically says that Hancock can't even see Luffy because as an empress she would be setting a bad example and throwing traditions away. Now what I'm about to say is only personal opinion, but I take that to mean that if she wants to pursue Luffy any further after he is 100% recovered, she needs to completely eviscerate the traditions of her people further, or abandon the country entirely. Yes its biased, but thats why its an opinion.
