It seems to me that characters like Ace, Law, Shanks, Zoro, Sanji, Sabo, Drake, Smoker, or even King and Doflamingo, all seem built to be the perfect male specimens. Not only from an exterior point of view; also their backgrounds seem designed to suit the feminine taste. And the story between Rayleigh and Shakuyaku could very well be a subject for some erotic novelist.

All these elements make me think of some female "editor" trying to counter-balance the pervasive fan-service aimed at males, or to appease the female audience.

If Oda is ever gonna show us the ex-convicts escaped from level 6, that would be a chance to present some past warlord.

I mean all the ones who have been substituted by the ones shown in the story. Jinbe only joined 11 years before Rufy’s departure from Foosha, if I recall correctly, so someone must have left that place 11 years ago. Same goes for the warlord who left the place that Ace refused.
There should be around 5-6 ex warlords we have never seen

In that case, we could expect some lore in a "DB:Battle of Gods" fashion: maybe there are other demons like Tot Musica or stronger; maybe each devil fruit hides has his own demon, and in this case we would end up with a whole army of new enemies yonko-level which in turn would lead to a "One Piece Super" sequel...

Filler and movie characters are an annoying waste of lore. They could’ve been easily made canon by just changing the protagonist of their story and writing some novel about it. I’m sure everyone here would love to see some adventure from the point of view of the kid pirates instead of the straw hats, or seeing a different version of The Z movie with X drake as a protagonist, or Gold with Capone as a protagonist and so on..

(Maybe someday I could write myself some fanfic about it, but I’m surely no professional writer)

On chapter 999, Ace told Yamato about Kidd, Law and Bege. This implies that his adventure on Onigashima took place in the year before Luffy's departure, and not two years before.

Also, the same goes for all he did on Whitebeard's ship. To keep this quasi-consistent with the fact that he chased Blackbeard for an entire year, we can only assume that all the events between his clash with Yamato and Satch's murder took place within a month or two (in the year 1522)
