i finally watched the series. it was pretty fun and a good show to watch when you just want to relax. after the predictable ep 1, the following was all good. but i think they should have made 26 eps, with some stories going on for 2 or 3 eps, but well, that's it.
I definately agree with that. After "The class trip into Hell" I definately wanted to see more than just 13 episodes…

Oh man, I loved Samurai 7.
But more on topic, GREAT music vid. Definitely one of the best I've seen. The scenes were matched perfectly not only with the lyrics but with the beat, the editing was great, loved the music (downloading it right now, as a matter of fact), very appropriate choice for Samurai 7… (I rather wish the opening/ending were more rock/metal than wimpy J-pop. :C)
My only concern is that the aspect ratio seemed a bit messed up, and I would have probably preferred a higher resolution video, but I don't know what the limits on AMV.org are.

I was originally meaning that with the account being access so many times by different IP address will raise flags from the owners of AMV. I thought that only actual members could download videos. So with all the different and widespread IP addresses being used to log in. Your account will probably be shut down or flagged.

My old roommate use to be a big Samurai Seven fan. He always told me that it was like ghost in the shell, with actual anime drawn into the scenes in combination with cgi graphics. Like the series Karas was.

Well if you get IFC, they show it, and the DVDs are out. As for subbing groups…well I just downloaded a torrent, and it was all pretty decent to me. So just torrent them.

The anime started off really slow, but I started to get into it when Yukimura told Kyo where his body was.

! It was a draw. If you look closely while Kazuma and Ryuhou landed their final blows and fall, both had certain lining on their arms. Compare that to the single fist raised in the air while the credits roll. Either the battle was a draw, or the fans were left to decide who won.
! It was still Kazuma's hand, the fact that he was able to raise it after the fight in such a sign of victory, that gives pretty good clues that it was Kazuma who won…at least a little bit. You seriously can't confuse it with Ryuhou's hand, consider it even flexes like Kazuma always does

! I'm sure he died. He was refined by the mainland, and it shortened his life (the same as Zigmarl). He got injured by Mujo, but managed to save just a bit of his Alter. If you look while he's talking it shows his injured legs…and then he dies. It's so anti-climatic if he just....falls asleep...
S-cry-ed could have really ended at episode 25….Oh well.

The whole story was being driven by Kazuma and Ryuhou's rivalry…they never got an all out fight against each other. They had to do it, it brought closure to the whole thing that even started the story.
The last episode is one of my favorites.

Yep, I totally agree with you. The various people who are the Batman Beyond bashers just don't understand a good show. While I bet that they will like this show. It makes no sense to the intelligent person whatsoever. I do find it funny that in Fast Foreward, the Turtles still have to disappear and etc because "they don't fit in!" or something along the lines of ninja's need to vanish at a moments notice.
I think the name of this new series is appropriate though. You see, I was thinking of recording it, instead of getting up. And if I had recorded it, I would have FAST FORWARDED through the entire thing.

List your favorite endings in anime you've seen.
I only have one, Samurai 7. I was on the edge of my seat, the 3 of the 7 samurai had already died, only 4 left. My favorite one, fought with everything he had, and went out like a man, only to be incinerated. 
Only 3 of them survived, more or less their mission of the series was accomplished, but with a large price. I get rather annoyed at some ending in anime, none of the main characters ever seem to die, while you don't want that, it still makes it memorable. The bitter sweet ones are the ones that make you remember them. Yeah, that was my favorite finale.
It wasn't even ON the lineup though, and when I saw it was on, it had the same name (on the guide channel).
If they still showed them both I could see that, and not worry, but I didn't see the original one on the lineup either.

Well I just got finished watching the new episode of TMNT: Fast Forward on YouTube and I must say that the show isn't bad, BUT it isn't that good either.
Ok now I'm going to back down a few of the variables that were in the show.
Animation-The animation was almost the same as the old series, but with YouTube's video quality, it could change my opinion if I saw the actual show on television.
Technology-Ok, it's now 2105 and according to how technology is rapidly changing nowadays, some of the technology used in the show could exist. Like flying hover cars or advanced robots, BUT the gravity and air changers are just too science fiction. I could understand maybe some sort of nanobots to accomplish that task of changing or filtering air for a person though. Maybe that is what that chest plates are using, injection nanobots into a person or something.
Plot-It was ok, alittle bit on the "children's imagination" side though. A time window suddenly becomes a time portal is feesable but it would have it's flaws in true science and mathmatics. The idea of "peacekeepers" instead of police is already being used in countries supported mainly by the United Nations. With the illegal slave trading, yea it would happen and it happens in our time.
Um I can't really think of anything else to go by as of the moment. I will say that the opening song was really bad, as bad as the Dub Piece rap.
Animation: Trust me, it's worse.
Technology: Who cares? Turtles should be able to kick ass using good old fashioned weapons.
Plot: I'd rather watch their first TMNT in this department.
I finally finished it. That was the best last episode I have ever seen.

What you saw was the second episode. I couldn't handle the first one, with that #@* robot saying tired old movie phrases that used to sound cool. (Only with horrible delivery.) And since WHEN does Splinter watch Soaps? That's what happens when you try to fix what isn't broken.

Well, today I woke up to find an unpleasant surprise.
One of my favorite shows to watch on Saturday was the new TMNT. I loved the writing of that show, it was really engaging and kept me hooked. I remember it ended awhile ago, like a season finale or something. It's been so long, but I think it ended on a cliffhanger.
So yesterday I see it's on again, with a new episode. I'm like. "Yay" so when I wake up…it's not the same TMNT. No, they made another show....a very RETARDED show. "TMNT: Transformers" I think. OMG! they're int eh future!1!! and they ....have gadgetsa nd fight and stuff!1 omg!!!
....>_< I watched about 10 minutes...first, the animation sucks, it's many steps below the other series, second, the writing is pitiful. This is not the same great writers. 4Kids made another brain-dead plot-less series to just show off. "GADGETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

what's original is when you're not able to anticipate each and every scene of the first episode of an anime by just knowing the main story. which is what happened to me with gokusen ep 1. but maybe ep 2 will surprise me.

The screenplay of the anime was written by the guy who wrote the manga.
So, I guess it doesn't really matter which one came first, it seems like he just wanted to make two different versions of the story I guess.
Or maybe he had more control over the manga version, so he did it more how he wanted to?
I find that funny, because I've seen many places online that HATE HATE HATE the manga, but they like the anime. They said stuff like "How the anime staff was able to make a good story from this piece of garbage is beyond me"

Yeah, I could never find out for sure, but ever since Scryed was first fansubbed, people had been telling me the manga was second.
There's a possibility that they both ran simultaneously. That would definitely explain some of the big differences (maybe the people doing the anime and manga only had the basic plot and characters to go on, so they did their own interpretation of things). But that's just something I came up with, so I doubt it's true.
But if you look, on the anime in the ending credits it was written by the same guy who wrote the story for the manga (not drew it though).

Cougar is the guy with the orange hair, and he's voiced by Crispin Freeman. I personally prefer the japanese voices to the dub voices, not that I don't like the dub, but the sub voices are just 100% perfect for every character.
Kazuma and Ryuhou fight and go into the other side which causes massive chaos to the Lost Ground is in episode 13, that starts the second half of the series. I'm not sure, if you could honestly get it by missing a few episodes…you might have a basic understanding, but when you see the first few episodes you'll be like "Oh! That makes sense!" a lot.
But yeah, it's a cool show.
