Wondering if anyone knows any Instagram pages or even other sites that essentially do what this forum thread used to do? I never know where to look for newly announced collectible releases and hardly anyone posts here anymore…..
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
I randomly picked up a second hand Law Grandista off ebay for £10 and think it's a fairly nice figure. Are there anymore announced coming up in the line or is it another one where Banpresto have just forgotten about it?

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
the prices are also stupid high these days, i remember getting P.O.P's for roughly 50 euro's each in like 2007 or something.
now, you almost have to take out a mortgage on your house, to be able to even buy 1 P.O.P figure, and that doesn't even include the shipping and customs yet…..That's actually what caused me to come check in here, got a little spare cash and thought it might be nice to buy my first ever P. O. P figure but my god they're expensive now. I was also hoping to find a Jimbei figure around to go with my GLM crew lineup but he doesn't seem to have been given many in the past few years

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
A lot of people left and lets face it One Piece just isn't getting the interesting figures it was years ago. I went from spending £200+ a month to like 4 figures a year.
Some of us left but do like to check back every few years to see if any old faces are still around
Not sure I miss the 4am online campouts to get preorders in or hope that PlayAsia would put WCF stock up randomly. They were fun (and expensive) times to be a collector though and it was a really lovely community to be a part of

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
This forum is a lot quieter than it used to be, have a lot of people stopped figure collecting?
I did because I bought far too many and ran out of room several years ago, but I still like popping in to see what's new
I stopped about five years ago as found the hobby (or at least my obsession with it) a little unhealthy. After a few years off, I dipped my toe back in and picked up a few bits but found the community here had mostly gone and without that and the intense nature of ordering, I didn't enjoy it like I once did. (Apparently staying up till 4am refreshing Play-Asia non stop to try and get the very limited stock was actually fun!)
Actually moving to New Zealand in the summer so have been selling off my few remaining items recently. Surprisingly unattached to most of them, think I'm keeping two small WCF's

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
I still remember being up from 2am trying to get the Arlong Park set. Then they put it up at 8am. And then nobody wanted them XD
It's a little bit scary that was five years ago now :S If I remember correctly, that Arlong line sort of started the beginning of the end for the WCF line in terms of hype as that was the one where they changed the material and they all looked abit waxy. Or maybe it just killed of my love for them!

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
While its not everything it has gotten to the point where it feels like trying to buy anything as of late is a huge hassle and sometimes not worth it. It brings me back to five years ago when we were staying up all night just for WCF pre-orders or just to get a PO of Marco and Vista XD (or Sadi-Chan a few years later) except that was fun and not with intent to resell immediately for twice the price.
Those where the days. I remember having to nap in the afternoon so I'd be able to stay up all night refreshing Play-Asia alongside everyone else incase the finally put the WCF's up. Till the day I die I'll never forgive myself for going to the loo and missing out on Going Merry WCF!!

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.11 Main Discussion - "Nothing but Fanservice!!"
Mandarake or Yahoo Japan is probably best bet tbh.
I'm honestly surprised Jinbe didn't get a reissue in his FI clothes when that arc was going around. Missed opportunity there.
Probably because his original release was still sitting on shelves by the time we got to Fishman Island
Jimbei's Banpresto Warlords of the Sea figure was really nice. And really heavy.

Where have you seen them? Link?

RE: One Piece: Unlimited World Red (2014 Worldwide Release; 3DS/Wii U/PS3/Vita)
Where am I supposed to redeem the day one DLC code? I selected the menu option that took me to the e-shop, but then what?

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Mine also just arrived, looks right at home on my Luffy shelf

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Got an adorable Mini-Merry for Xmas:
So now obviously I need the other set that goes with it to make it look less empty. But I'm so out of the loop and have no idea where the best place to find WCF's is any more and they don't seem to have made an appearance on mandarake (though im happy to be proved wrong if anyone can find them!). Help me apforums, you are my only hope!

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Those children look fantastic! If they actually get released, I'd be tempted to pick them all up
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
I love that dramatic showcase but sort of wish there was something physical joining them. For example, the first in the line has the rail of the ship so that it felt like they were all a part of something. If they had some sort of base that looked like flooring that could join them together (much like some of the IK crew figures did), it would be perfect for me!
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
The first figure I've purchased in over a year just arrived and I love it. Luffy FAZ Battle Version looks so dynamic and was as good as I hoped it would be. Shall be ordering Zoro and Sanji as soon as I can afford them. Only problem I have with it is the massive box it came in meaning after all these years of collecting, I got my second ever customs charge >_<
I'm a bugger for having the whole crew so has there been anymore in the line confirmed? I know there is a Sogeking and Nami version but they seem smaller and less dynamic
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Quick question as I just started collecting figures.
I opened a small OP surprise box and got Doflamino, but he was colored completely differently than in the series and than on the box. Instead of pink, he was blue. Is this a kind of 'shiny pokemon' thing, or is just a cool miscolor that happened at manufaction?
A few of the smaller lines of figures usually has a 'secret' in the set. Occasionally this is a whole new unadvertised figure but more often than not, it's a recoloring of one.

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Does anyone know if Uniqlo lost the rights to One Piece as they haven't got their yearly t-shirt range out yet
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Wow coopz! You're still around!! It's great when old timers come back to post!! That brook is out late Feb. BiJ still have him up for PO: http://biginjap.com/pvc-figures/8270-one-piece-scultures-big-2nd-series-vol6-brook.html
Yeah, I still lurk about from time to time. Its sad because I know the quality of this line rarely lives up to its potential but just love how dynamic that Brook is. Poor guy doesn't get nearly enough merchandise

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
So after the discussion the other day about selling our collections, I've been thinking a great deal about my time collecting One Piece merchandise.
I sat down to write a little bit about it and a great deal came out, about my feelings when collecting and what made me stop. Lots of it is poorly written (its late so cut me some slack!) and wasn't really written with anyone in mind to read it, I just thought there might be some people here interested to read my story. So if you do, here goes:

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
I have a question for those of you on here that sold most of your collection but still pick up the odd collectible (you know who you are! XD): do you miss the figures you sold/old collection? Regrets? Did it feel good/freeing?
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my collection a little bit. I was immensely proud on my 100's of WCF's but I was in a situation where I needed money to pay rent and get me out of debt and selling them was the simplest conclusion. While I loved the figures themselves, I think I equally loved the thrill of the chase and the sense of community we had here. This was when getting WCF's was a pain in the arse and you'd have to sit on here and Play-Asia at 3am UK time for nights at a time, refreshing every 30 seconds in the hope that would be the day they went up. I realised at one point it was unhealthy and taking over my life a little as I was staying up till the early hours waiting for figures to go on sale, then getting up at 8am to wait for the postman to deliver some (I still believe that collecting was one of the major factors that cost me a relationship) so went cold turkey. The decline in quality for the line helped make this easier.
I have purchased GLM StrawHats over the past two years as I always wanted a mid-sized full crew but apart from that, I've resisted jumping back in. From time to time I'll see a good deal and even get as far as putting them in the online basket, only to remember that its a slippery slope and having a few of a set is just likely to make me want to buy more (like you said, they'd be random together and I'm very much someone who likes to have things in sets). Anyways, thats my two cents on the matter

Play Asia have got their summer toy sale on. Lots of money off WCFs, POP's and FAZ

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Excellent, thank you. Is that the 'Memories of Merry' ship?
Think if I get the GLS I definitely need a stand to place it on to make it look slightly bigger -
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
I'm looking for a Thousand Sunny to go with my GLM crew but unsure about the GLS version being a little to small. Does anyone happen to have pictures of the figure besides some of the other Straw Hats so I can see it? The only other decent sized figures I can find are the model ones but I don't really want to have to build one
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
Did anyone here post pictures of the WCF Zoo Vol.4 already?
Pics are here: http://bbs.actoys.net/read.php?tid-1504881.htmlWhere is the lion in the pirates jacket from? Can't place him at all

Its not been released yet

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
I'm telling you guys. Come 2020 we'll have houses built out of unsold Ben Beckman POPs.
It would go nicely with the Billy Plush POP summer house I built in 2010

RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
Ah!! I knew of Sensui's proxy, didn't realise they were one and the same
Thanks Louis -
RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
Ah, I assumed he was a user on here? Guessing the proxy is reliable? Also, it doesn't say anything on the site about selling stuff, just buying?

RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
Hey guys, where can I find the proxy Hiromi? Have heard him being mentioned andneed something selling so want to run it by him

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
I only have the three admiral Deformed keychains but they are excellent. Really good quality, solid size and very dynamic. It's such a shame that the line is hard as hell to buy because they would be a must buy for me each and every time
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
UK'ers!!! Uniqlo have their yearly One Piece t-shirts for sale. As usual, its 60% crappy Chopper prints, but there are one or two cool designs
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.10 Main Discussion - "Final Product ≠ Promo Pics"
?1
After almost a year, my Grandline Strawhats are completedWhile I wish Nami has a weapon on her and Robin's chest wasn't so utterly ridiculous, I love them together a great deal. Now just tempted to get the Thousand Sunny GLS to complete the set

RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
That Brook is amazing! At least, the promo pic is. Final version will likely be average but damn, can't we get more figures like that please?
-
RE: One Piece Film Z (Wrap Canon From the Manga Not Yet in the Anime with Spoiler Tags)
Is there somewhere all the known info for the film is in one place? I don't really fancy looking through all 111 pages of this thread to find out everything!
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
What was the quality on Banpresto's Thousand Sunnny Grandline Ship? I can't remember seeing any pictures of it that weren't promotional. Was it stickers, paint or assemble yourself? Asking as I think having the ship with my nearly completed GLM would look excellent

RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
LOL Just found out my local (kinda. About half an hour away by train) has been doing Bandai's releases for some time. Although marked up. They had FAZ Usopp, Luffy, Franky, Ace (recent), Mihawks, Hancock and Croc. They only been doing for a few month it seems.
Although bloody expensive. Luffy was £24 and Usopp was £28
About £15 more expensive than amiami. But I guess if you factor in possible customs amount….
Which shop was it?
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
Very much depends what kind of figures you want to collect. If you are after POP's, you could possibly get one every couple of months as with shipping, you are looking at more than $100. If you are after WCF's, you could probably get each months set for $100 including shipping. If you want FAZ's, you'd probably be able to pick up a couple. Honestly, there are so many different lines of figures these days that there is bound to be something you can collect
-
RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
Cyber, are you planning on getting the GLM Brook? As if not, we could split a set from 1up as I don't want the alt Chopper
-
RE: Preorder/In Stock/Ordering Discussion
1up, will you be getting GLM Brook in stock, and if so, when?
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
My GLM Franky arrived this weekend and I love him, best GLM Straw Hat so far IMO. Now how long do I have to wait for Robin and Brook so I can complete the set?
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
@1Up:
Grandline men vol.13 franky, the new chozokei damashii set and arcardass formation 2, all out now:
This has made my night

Come GLM Franky!!!! The wait is killing me, it's this week right?
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
Does anyone know when GLM Franky will be making an appearance this month?
-
RE: One Piece Collectibles v.9 Main Discussion - "Remember when they weren't named ?"
Heres what I got ^^

The FMA book was already mine, Vic was so nice to sign it as well for me.
Thats me on the right.
[/Hide]Theres a pretty good chance I picked up both those DX boxes the other week at London Film and Comic Con. £22 each right? Glad you had a good time, UK Cons are usually somewhat iffy when it comes to One Piece merch
