"I'll just let him discover it on his own, lol"
Well, Luffy did make it clear to Raleigh that he didn't want him to spoil anything about his adventure when Usopp asked.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

I just watched a Wanokuni episode, and it is the first One Piece anime I have watched in a long time. At some point, I lost interest in the waning quality and over use of still frames, and dragging out scenes. I have to say, this looks amazing! The art looks much crisper and more colorful, and there seemed to be less "time-waste". What's changed in the last few years?
Reading old Greg posts feels like flashing back to that crazy fun guy you used know but grew up and got the suit and suitcase filled with responsibilities. Oh the hardships of growing old on an anime forum. The men who knew the board back then yadda yadda reminiscing like an old man.
Amen, brother. Those were the days, I tell ye.
Very nice chapter and another one where we didnt change venues despite us having a ton of subplots
I'm liking the shogun more and more for how much POS he is, and idk the ugly design kinda blends into being scaryCool that Robin had an insurance plan. I was pretty sure she had a trick up here sleeves but she reacted really fast to avoid being hurt via her clone being hurt and disappearing it.
I really like Komurasaki, I didnt have any problem with her before and while she's not super nice and friendly she has some sort of moral code about her. I like this development and she doesnt have to be super nice to be a good person.
Now Robin is escaping and kyoshiro has drawn his sword. I wonder who is gonna make an appearance here to diffuse the situation.
Interestingly enough how we now have 5 subplots
Kinemon's subplot
Zoro's subplot
Luffy's subplot
Palace subplot
Sanji's subplotBut things feel more conmected than they did at dressrosa
Don't forget Chopper and Big Mom subplot!

I had to google "backlog", with that you mean every single volume released so far, right? So if you subscribe you have access to everything online? And the recent chapters are going to be free as well?
That's crazy. I wish I wouldn't live in the third world country called Germany. Sadly I know very little about internet things and how to cheat myself around barriers and stuff, and of course I don't know if there would be any legal consequences for me if I did. I need to look into this, thanks.
You should get A VPN anyway. They're good for a lot of stuff. Cheap, too. I watched the whole world cup on ZDF and ARD with a VPN. German commentators are so much better than American ones.
No surprise Orochi is a dragon, since "Orochi" is a dragon, but a SMILE hydra model? That is going to be hilariously interesting. Looking forward to it. Liking the plot development of our new subset of strawhats, and looks like they'll see some action soon! Hopefully, Sanji will get serious and have some clever plans, and Robin will do her spy stuff–maybe even show off some new Revolutionary Army skills.
That look from Sanji is the first thing to make me want to change my avatar since Ivankov/Dr. Frankenfurter.
So Sabo was very close to Enel than I guess going by that logic?
He's close to Dragon, though, whose storm fruit might be able to impart it, were this conjecture to be true.

It seems like a simple task but believe me, keeping track of a series in two languages at once is a job in and of itself (^o^)
Were it to be made a job, you would be a shoe-in.
My first thought for Kamazou was that he's Killer unmasked given the choice of weapon and the fact he's one of the Kid-Hawkins-Apoo alliance not accounted for post-Kaido suicide attempt.
I love it. Great conjecture!
@.access:
Shamisen lady is back. I suspect she will never enter the story until the arc is over, she finishes playing, puts her mask down and reveals to be Tama singing the story of Kaido downfall to her public 10 years from now. You read it here first.
Genius. I love it.
Yeah, but it's never officially been spelled "Kidd", has it? The name was always "Kid" with one D.
You're right. The guy deserves a second d, though.
@$abZ:
At first when Kaido mentioned "that brat" with CoC I thought he was referring to Ace. It could be he was referring to Kidd. Kaido seems to be able to see or sense the will of people like other strong fighters have been able to do. I'm interested in finding out who the silhouette is. It's likely to be one of the powerful samurai but I got the feeling the silhouette recognised Luffy. Robin's face haha! And I'm still waiting for Apoo to make a spectacular entrance! That him playing the banjo at the end? lol
I thought the same thing from reading the chapter. I looked at the spoiler pages, and Kaido definitely says Kidd's name. Putting the second "d" in his name would have negated the confusion.
Do we know for sure Luffy is in the same cell as Kidd? Their panels were separated. He may be with mystery guy…
Looks like a lot of posters' theories are coming true. Here's one of my own: Sanji with use the suit to break in and save Luffy, et al.
Probably down for the count, passed out drunk. Wonder how the alliance got away?
Not sure if this has been conjectured, but:
In the folklore, Momotaro teams up with a monkey, dog and pheasant. If Momonosuke is the stand-in for Momotaro, then he has Luffy as the monkey, Inurashi as the dog. Could Aokiji be making an appearance as the pheasant?
Gotta respect all the poop humor in this chapter. It makes it a pretty solid One Piece chapter. Well guess in this situation it wasn't solid. Hahahaha! Poop Joke!!
It'll probably be a running gag.

That guy in the middle…
LMFAO! I was so focused on the hilarious rabbit beard guy that I completely missed the schlange schwanz!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Maybe he was hidden in a giant peach which put him into stasis until now.
The acrobatic firefighters was one of the funniest things Oda has ever done.
"I'm great at sumo!" (Luffy's record is beating Usopp once) lmao
Was hoping Zoro would do the sumo, instead. However, Luffy using the gear 3 sumo moves was really fun.
Otama can just wave a kijidango in front of the lion's nose to get free, I'd guess.
From Beppo's pleading not to be left behind, it sounds like Law is joining the fray.
So Luffys followers sail under their old flags right now? And Bellamy has to create a proper SH Grand Fleet Flag now I guess. Finally he is of use
There we go! Love it!
Luffy is getting into being really STRONG. Like he is closing to likes of Jozu / Katakuri so people that can go toe to toe with an Admiral for quite a big fight. Since he landed in Wano he is smiling at fights a lot, he surely has fun feeling powerful.
Next chapter I imagine that we will see Luffy turning Gear Fourth Tankman aaand he will send Sumo Champion flying all over Wano.
Oh and that Sumo Champion feels like Sanjis 1 vs 1 later on in this arc.
If Luffy is that powerful, he needs to let his subordinate own the Yokozuna.
Shanks gonna show up and mentor Bellamy?
Is this Bellamy on the cover story?
The chapter is really good.!
Thank you! That's who that is!
Kiku's speech implies they are male, it could be a disguise. Kinemon was able to create disguises, and the other Oden samurai guy could animate drawings; there's the Oden clan ninja, as well. This Kiku character may have a similar ability. It'd be pretty funny to see Kiku's generic beautiful face become replaced with something unique and zany as the above posters were pining for.
A glimpse of the takoyaki party from the blog of famous soprano and actress Marie Tatsumi.

Dang, bumping elbows with the greats! Good for you, Greg!
Hold your horse,,, O Tama's sickness is plot device,
Isn't everything in prose a plot device? Otherwise, it's just rambling. It's gotta keep moving!
I'd love a really tense tearoom scene where everyone's on their knees having tea and conversation, only Luffy and Zoro are kind of frozen in place like they've stepped on one of Miss Goldenweek's paint traps and they've got to grit their teeth and can only tremble with anger while stuck in place as they listen to whoever's there laying down the terms or giving them info they don't want to have to deal with. Bonus points if they're forced to be polite and sip tea and compliment its quality even if they're hating it.
Or even an homage to the classic gag when Chopper started giving Franky random beverages from the refridgerator on Enies Lobby, one of them being green tea, which made Franky turn into a laid-back farmer who wanted to sit and talk.
X Drake was seen reading the papers in Wano after Doflamingo's defeat. So, as far as we know, he's in Wano too
Wano probably has a winter area. I mean, these trees are definitely Wano trees
https://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/793/11
The Japanese are all about their four seasons and all the food and culture that comes with each time of year. Wano most definitely will.
Not sure if this has been conjectured, but since Hawkins can predict the percentage chance of an outcome (Luffy and Co. having a 19% chance of surviving the month), and possibly resents his current predicament, maybe he and Apoo will release Kidd and join the Mugiwara/Heart pirates in taking down Kaido, having seen that the outcome is likely or assured.
Which is a credit to European countries. Spot on for being so supportive!
That's probably to do with the relative standard of living. Most western Europeans live comfortably and have more money to spend on wants. Strong economies are always built on the lower/middle class having money to spend.
There's a couple people that were around before this itteration of the forum, who didn't all join up immediately afterwards, like Wolfwood. Taboo and Ubiq are also from that far back. February 2005 was the earliest you could join this version of the site.
Quite a few people from about 2007 still around though… and I was lurking for a few months before my join date, but not that far back.
Represent! I'm mainly a lurker. You guys do an excellent job of already coming up with anything I might think to say.
We've seen quite some myth-creatures from japanese Folklore. Tanuki with huge balls incoming.
Oh, those balls aren't a myth.

I guess the newspaper hint on mama coming to wano.
If true, then perhaps Shanks reads this, and heads over to backup Luffy.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
That would be too repetitive in my opinion. Also it seems to be a mystical kind of dog and not a boar(Luffy is unsure but it was shown barking).
I thought those beast statues were lions.

Sanji perversion got old 300 chapters ago Oda. It's okay, you can let go. Have him return to his usual self, it's fine. (And by that I mean, if he does another montage of him being a horndog to the island's women then I'm actually going to shoot myself).
This chapter was really Oda stretching his artistic side, I'm not sure how the hell they're going to manage this in the anime but I'm excited. The only thing I don't like is how cartoonish Wano appears to be. Last week it was that stupid mountain (which appears in this chapter as well, which probably means it'll play an important role), this week it's these hills that look straight out of WCI:

I'm not mad I'm just a little…. disappointed? I was very much looking forward to a more serious aesthetic following Whole Cake Island.
That is Oppaiyama. It's at the heart of the island.
Just guessing but Wata could be the katakana for Water and Ame means rain. So water rain…? So random
It's actually German for "cotton."
But who is Luffy calling to? I understand not Zoro but Vivi and the old friends.
Seems like it's Kinemon who would answer, based on the conversation.
Beautiful spreads for a good chapter.
What does "Wataame" on Chopper's T-shirt mean ?
Cotton Candy.
That was fun. It's been a while since we've had a classic adventure chapter.
Then I guess the "Shakespearean talk" is an adaptation of the Japanese honorifics that Wano people seem to use so often. It actually makes sense to me.
(If somebody plans on making an Italian scanlation, you could use a mixture of dialect and pig Latin, as in the old movie "L'armata Brancaleone")
Yeah, but that is just weird, mixing genres. Gozaru is spot-on. Insert translators' notes, if needed. It's old feudal Japan, ffs.
No reason. It is just not a natural swing for that side of the arm. If you slash from up to down, you tend go from outside to inside. Doing the opposite would require you to put extra effort, and hence lose precious milliseconds.
He slashed backhanded.
I wonder why Zoro's been attacking all those people though.
It was the magistrate in the middle who Zoro cut. That's why Zoro said he smelled blood on him.
With Vivi's picture being the only one untouched, and Pell telling Vivi that he wouldn't leave her side again, plus the permission to defend the princesses from the CD guy, I'm guessing the Elders' target will be Vivi. That would certainly draw the Straw Hats into the ring.
This chapter was completely necessary. If Oda would just have skipped all of these characters meeting, the fan complaints would have been unbearable. For a long time fan, it was pretty cool to see all these characters from different arcs throughout the story showing up and interacting with each other. I guess you also hate chapters that just show old characters reacting to new bounty posters?
The readers need to see them make this connection, because once the Reverie starts, they're going to form a coalition.
Shirahoshi turning down the suitors: The reprimand from her brother will cause her to try to act more "diplomatic" the next time, which will wind up getting her kidnapped by Charloss.
I love how everyone in Fishman Island is wearing a straw hat.
+1 on disappointment surrounding the cake. We went through that entire weeeeeeddddiinnnggg caaaaaake problem and resolution, and now we're back to square one, with Big Mom chasing them again. No Okama Kenpo effects from eating it? What's the point of building it up as a skill in the first place? I'm still going BM is gonna come down with some sort of effect in the chapters to come.
If they really got hit, then it's gotta be that the coating is still intact on the ship.
I'm with the hallucination theory. I think this may be an Okama Kenpo cooking technique that is causing Big Mom to feel super satisfied and believe all of her hopes are coming true. Did she just control the Queen Mom to accidentally blow up Smoothie's ship?
Was Pekoms fully transformed yet?
@Joy:
They were unable to do a single thing against Doflamingo, how hard it is to understand that ?
That is the logical thing to do. But Oda and logic have taken different ways years ago. Seriously dude, the Yonko Oda represented at first are gods compared to guys like Chopper, Nami and Brook. Do I seriously need to post how Oda has represented the other Yonko and Admirals compared to Big Mom ? It's not that hard.
Surely, while yonkos' strength is a major factor, their navies and territory are the things that make them yonko. They literally rule the seas in the New World.
All the pets in WCI, like the two pudding has, any idea whose soul is inside them? I was wondering if it's possible for Nami to keep zeus. Mama can make another one.
I wondered that, too. Zeus is a part of Big Mom's soul. Could he be separated long distance like a Vivere Card? Can she just dispel him and regain that portion of her soul? Does it completely have a will of its own?
Based on the translation on the color spread, plot threads should be getting tied up and this arc is about over.
