Technically speaking in the most technical terms possible, the only stands that can move faster than light are The World and Star Platinum thanks to their "Stop Time" capacities, but really, it's absurd to say that any stand normally moves faster than the speed of light.

Araki does his research about real world phenomenon. He's not some hack writer who is super inconsistent with the content in his manga. He almost goes overly in depth to explain some of the crazy stuff happening in the manga and likening it to real world occurrences.

! Polnareff's silver chariot hit the stand Hanged Man that moves through reflections(aka the speed of light). For his stand to be able to hit it while its moving it would logically need to be that fast if not faster.

Lots of fans think that A level stands move at the speed of light. I personally think this is extremely ridiculous, but they're clearly far, far above humans. Star Platinum crushes diamond with one of his punches at one point.

Well they do move that fast. Polarnareff's silver chariot cut a light beam so every stand on his level would be moving at the speed of light.
My complaint is more in line with the fact that jotaro is only hitting another stand and the punches are so powerful they are damaging the area around them. Stuff like that never happened in the manga

I like the new OP we got
they are taking their time with the pacing which is a good thing. I don't remember stands being that powerful in the manga(all the windows breaking in the school from a simple oraoraora) but it looks cool.

I just never really liked part 4
Josuke is just not that interesting(He's better than Giorno by a mile though) and his hair style sucks
I liked Jotaro and Joseph making appearances all the other new characters besides Rohan kinda sucked too
A great villain like Kira is the only thing that salvages it from being the worst part and he only shows up in the final volumes in genuine

I wish rukia's fight lasted longer. Kenpachi being the boring invincible hero was fun but now that he's become uber shinigami its kinda meh

This series really is missing the death of a main character. With the Mako death fakeout this is becoming even more apparent to me
I like almost everything about this show but the pacing is definitely off. I just don't feel the shit just got real moment even with all the life fiber invasion and secret revelations coming out the wood works.
4 more eps left I believe

Wow. I really just can't bring myself to like Ryuko as a character. I get that it's a pretty unpopular opinion and that some people get a little salty about it, but she truly is a god awful protagonist. At this point it really feels like Satsuki is the main protag.

Most of the fights end predictably but Mashima is a good artist and he has some imagination when it comes to his fights. I'd say Fairy Tail's frentic pacing where everything has to be finished quickly is why there aren't that many classic fights in the series.

watched the new ep it seems the series' pacing problems have finally solved themselves a bit
seeing satsuki get beat like that was oddly satisfying. I guess its rollover from her being the antagonist of the series for so long.

If fanservice was all it took to be a successful manga HSDK and to love ru would be way more popular and not just niche titles

People like Vegeta because he's everything Goku isn't. Him being stupid(but not as dumb as goku) and arrogant is just the icing on the cake to make him a fan favorite character. Vegeta also has some of the better lines in DBZ

Guaranteed to die? When? The only thing that I see was Magellan asking for his last words! Being Magellan a warden he could Kill Him or imprisoning him. The Guarantee was only made in your mind, not in the story!

I'm pretty sure a warden asking a prisoner who is escaping for his last words right before attacking him is a death flag its like you're ignoring the fact he had been trying to kill Luffy and co almost since the moment he encountered them. They even had luffy and co question if he survived. Bon Clay still being alive completely ruined the emotional impact of that scene unless you subscribe to the belief that as long as an author pretends to kill a character it makes these types of gags okay.
Considering Oda killed Ace in that same arc but for some reason copped out on having Bon Clay be killed by Magellan makes the gag even more disappointing.

remember when mr 2 had a heroic sacrifice in OP and was guaranteed to die only he didn't because Oda copped out on that after the time skip….........yeah that's how this chapter made me feel. Happy's afro was funny though
Even if its happy it would be nice to see Mashima not resort to gags like that that stuff happens a lot on in One Piece and the story suffers from it. FT does not need another generic outcome added.

You know when I first started watching this show I didn't think it would happen but suddenly Mako is my favorite character on this show.
these last two episodes have been really good for her character
Now I laugh a bit more when she starts getting eccentric

a pretty bittersweet finale
I like it a lot even if it is lore torching

and finally we have our resident badass
good episode

I like the demons designs its way different from Mashima's typical animal/monster characters.
oh and someone besides natsu,lucy,erza,and gray getting focus wow

Frankly that justification for the fanservice slant in the show is kinda out there. I like mindless fanservice frankly I think the fans who are even trying to defend it by placing a message behind it are doing the show even more of a disservice.

re reading part 3 reminds me that araki didn't even name some of the stand users early on. that orangutan that never got a name outside of its stand.

part 3 is way longer than part 1 and 2 so it seems likely the whole season will cover it. If just not to milk part 3's popularity

Tbh, the design barely affects me. Part of the reason is because I religiously follow Hiroyuki Imaishi's work to the point where I know what I'm expecting. Despite being over-the-top, the content is usually pretty much entertaining and interesting story/character wise. Otherwise, I'd understand anyone who is typically turned off by his works.

That's nice, you can overlook a story convention in anime because you are satisfied with the rest of the content present. I'm not for me its sort of the same problem I have with VNs. I'm consuming something that has elements that force me to devalue what I'm watching.
Fairy Tail has fanservice :getlost:…....yeah anyway in general what I expect from a manga is a lot less than what I expect from an anime that I'm committed to watching. I mean if I had to compare this to TTGL(which you almost have to) I never felt like this when watching yoko in a mech(remembering that yoko operates on a smaller lever in the story compared to ryuko)

I was so into this show right up until I saw the suit design for the sailor fuko. I mean yeah its fanservice but I sincerely hope its not gratuitous like that for the whole show. Minor gripe aside everything else was great loved the animation and the plot

The way people say Korra is being a bitch is frankly puzzling to me. Her anger is justified but I guess any woman getting uppity with men is regarded as irrational.
I liked the episodes but they were a bit more slower than I expected. a lot of humor from Bolin but a minor asami appearance and then nothing.
Korra and Mako have the teenage romance down pat

I'm not outraged at the characters themselves being sexist. I'm more questioning the meaning of this particular scene. I fail to bat an eye when I see Mashima's excessive fanservice, just because I've sort of grown used to it.
This isn't really fanservice in his normal vein though. He portrays the characters in his scene as powerful women while simultaneously fulfilling the demands of the sexist characters. What is Mashima really trying to convey there? It seems a real step up from the normal, fairly innocuous fan service you'd find in a manga like Fairy Tail.

The crux of your argument is that the women in the manga are demeaned by sexist verbage but they themselves are seemingly cast in in a negative light by Mashima and warrant those comments by being drawn sexy.
So no I don't think the sexist message is at all hindered its the same pig headed idiots heckling women no matter how they dress or carry themselves after all.

If Flare had been hiding that tattoo since her debut in the series its safe to say Mashima had made it up on the spot. As for the whole shallow faux outrage at characters being sexist its a bit hamfisted at this point.

A new 3 part mini series starring Mako and Bolin set a couple of years before the start of LOK. Should tide you over til the September premiere of book 2

that's next week we get a 45 page chapter or whatever
Mashima will probably take a break after that for like a week or 2
