RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
It also shouldn't work on Absalom, should it?
This is a really, really great idea. No sarcasm, it's just ingenious.
+1 for you.

RE: Oda's INSPIRATION for One Piece
@JERK:
Nausicaa (the movie) clearly had a much deeper broader influence on Oda then silly comparisons, it impressed in him a sense of the power you can wield with a narrative.
Could you provide a source for this?

@Sniper:
I was gonna say, "They can combine their fins at will", but then I looked back at the volume…And I guess they can't...:wassat:

RE: Last Two Nakamates (vol. 5)
@guess:
hell if they make Buggy a shichibukai then being powerful doesnt have to be necessary to being offered the title. infamy is enough.
Buggy has all those Impel Down convincts under his command, that's what makes him powerful.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
Um… tanukis aren't mythical. They actually exist.
I mean the ones with ballsacks that can cover houses, not the cute raccoon dogs.

RE: General Devil Fruit Discussion
We've seen a Basilisk (or Cockatrice), Sphynx and Manticores in Impel Down. Those are kinda mythical. Oh and Dragons from the Ryuuma story.
Or else Salamanders, Unicorns, Griffins, Nekomatas and Tanuki's to name a few common, non-human hybrid mythological animals.

RE: Shichibukai strength
Nightmare Luffy knocked out Moria in one hit, but hit him several times after that.
Could you show a panel?
@igetownd:And Moria taking as much damage as Whitebeard? All it took was a few hits from Pacifista blasts and Moria was on his knees and elbows.
You do realise that a blast like that was fatal for lesser pirates right?

RE: Shichibukai strength
@S.C.:
What I mean is, in Chapter 560, Crocodile is shown bleeding from the mouth, the next chapter, just from the head. So, I don't know, maybe it was Jozu, maybe it was one of Dofla's wires, if it was a bit more consistent, it could be more easy to discuss. So, I guess I bow out of this.
Look,

Left side, middle panel. Croc bleeding from his head and mouth.

@S.C.:
So, it would seem. But, check this out:

In the same page, Akainu goes from no blood, to bloody. I guess, like how Blackbeard is never missing the same teeth, Oda's not always 100% good on what's bleeding where.I'm still not pretty sure what exactly you are saying. Croc started bleeding from his forehead after he was punched by Joz. So the wound was inflicted by Joz, not Dofla.
