You have to remember that many of us do not have access to the Japanese manga or cannot read it. I completely support the manga and encourage others to buy the VIZ version (or whatever is in your country) when it is available. I do not think that the scantilations take any buyers away from the weekly manga version. If I could pay Shonen Jump for an online, English, version of the series, I would in a flash.
That would be cool to get a version on your Kindle or iPhone from Shonen a few days after the Japanese release.

We don't do weekly releases for One Piece. That is being picked up by several quite competent scanners (read:Franky House and others). N-U-L-L concentrates on very high quality scantilation of the chapters in books when they are released (about every 3 months or so).

Good typesetting and translation. I'm not sure that the translation was the usual and some of the curse words were not the usual words used, so they sounded kind of "off". Specifically page 9 and 13.

And if Franky has indeed rebuild the front of his body and not the backside…

Plus, Buggy knows Shanks, and would not just refer to him as "Redhair". He would probably go nuts and attack him!!!

I think that the idea that Garp "cornered" Gol D Roger may be the same way he is "cornering" Luffy now. Maybe GD is family or a friend, and the report to Marine HQ is "I had him cornered, but he got away." Really he was talking with him like with Luffy. I doubt he will turn Luffy in, but the report will be that he found him and Luffy escaped (IE, "cornered').

OK, Here is my prediction. The voice belongs to Iceburg, who sailed the ship over to rescue them.

I think one of the next few chapters will end in dramatic fashion, with Luffy simply saying:

"Gear… 4!"

Wouldn't he have already gone to Gear 4 instead of going back to Gear 2, if he had a Gear 4? I go for a fast, dramatic ending of Lucci, something he doesn't expect at all.

Bob Marley? I think he looks more like Bluto from Popeye. Can't wait for their real names.

I find that a particularly interesting way to view devil fruit powers. I find the interpretation intriguing. Particularly regarding Alvida and her perception of her own beauty. This could explain a lot.

As for whether Usopp can take Zoro. It's the old gun vs. swords debate. Near the end when Usopp invents a powerful weapon and improves his sniping, I think he'll be able to take out Zoro no problem. Can't fight what you can see after all.
