Ch 348 Preparedness
Starts with the final exam of the mentioned hunter exam. Cheadle shows Byond's video he used on TV to the examiners and tells them to answer few questions. Meanwhile in other room Mizaistom and Kurapika are watching live video of the questioning. Kurapika uses his dowsing chain to determine the spy. He explains that he doesn't fully understand his ability either but he assumes that he uses the subconscious cues to determine if people are lying or not. Says that usually he has to face the person in order to use the ability but he can do it through video when he uses "emperor time."
Crazy Kakin Prince (Tseidelih?) gets a call from his brother Benjamin, who is super buff and holds down lion while he talks on the phone. Secretary (Teeta?) says that five of their ppl passed the hunter exam. Prince made his bodyguards take exam in order to include them on the ship. Benjamin (first prince) and Tayson (sixth prince) did not send their tropes to the exam while Luzule's (seventh prince) ppl all failed.
Scene gets back to Kurapika and Mizaistom. Mizaistom says that Zodiacs are divided in three groups: radicals(Saiyu, Piyon, Culuk), conservatives (Botobai, Mizaistom, Cheadle, Ginta), liberals (Sachou, Gel, Kanzai), and exceptions (Pariston, Ging). Zodiacs know each others' abilities within those groups but they agreed to share their abilities to every one before going to the DC (except for Kurapika because of his risk). Mizaistom tells other Zodiacs that he suspects a mole and that if they share their secrets now Byond's group will know them too. Mizaistom says that his ability can restric opponents' motion and it consists of three cards: blue that allows opponent in to court, yellow that binds opponent, and red that ejects the opponent. Just bought volume 1-11 from my local publisher. Finally they translate HxH (i am in Indonesia). It'll be a very slow release so i think i'll just buy the rest (particularly volume 18-32) off amazon cause i want to see Chimera Ant arc redrawn version (even though the price is ten times more. It's $1.50 for a regular volume manga here and $12-15 on amazon. Probably better paper quality etc bu still. Sigh)

Seeing how many subplots are there (Gon Aura's recovery, Killua and Nanika (and Zoldyck family in general), Kurapika and The prince - and possibly Phantom Troupe, Ging and Pariston, Zodiac and Beyond Netero, Don Freecs, Welfin Hina & Bizeff quest to find Gyro, Hisoka & Chrollo and of course Dark Continent itself), i expect there'll be many mini arcs intertwining just like York Shin and Greed Island Auction. It's such a massive boner inducing idea, but frightening to think abt how long it will take to finish em all. Waaaaahh

Wow. Just wow. This arc is going to be much much much darker than ant arc. That last page. The five calamity. It looks so full of despair and darkness. Dark continent will be the shit. Aarrrgghh im hyped. Damn you togashi!

As much as i despise Bleach, i am always looking forward for some more strong villains. Which i think is done better than the heroes in this series. I need more Starrk, Halibel, Barragran, Nnoitra or Ulquiorra. They are all bad ass in their own way. Bazz B was giving me the same Espada vibe but he turned out to be another noisy riled up villain like Grimmjow (at least Grimmjow was entertaining).

And so far the good guys outweighs the bad guys in terms of number. I need Kubo to introduce more villains. Sternritter just doesn't cut it for me. And they are meant to fight Gotei 13 clearly. So who's gonna fight The Royal Guards? Hopefully Vasto Lorde makes their entrance soon. Hollows > Quincies

The only way togashi can be darker/crazier than chimera ant arc is if he puts some fucked up underground porn shit like unbirthing or something

How many of you know about this Indonesian born phenomenon? this movie is the sequel of The Raid (2001) and has been garnering attention worldwide. Spent xmas week in Bali (rather uneventful, probably because i been there at least once a year so i have seen the essentials but let me blame the rain) and amazing NYE in Vietnam. Which probably the best NYE i have ever experienced. Lots of historical sites (marble mountain was humongous and beautiful as well as the old french colonial villages), nice people, cheap shit (happy hour consists of 20 cents for a glass of beer and its buy 1 get 1 so all the better. And the leather goods were really cheap. I bought myself a wallet that costed me $30, made off elephant leather. Please dont judge me).

And the NYE celebration was too much fun. Not much of a firework. But very joyous and happy. Floating bars and restaurant on the Hoi Ann river. Different area for different people (local stuff, the youngsters, tourists stuff and many more)

I even got free Jagermeister shot at local nightclub. When i asked how much was it the girl said
"It's new year! Everything is free!"
