Haven't seen the latest HBO series so I don't know in what way they talked about it but those comments are present in the comic.
When Rorshach is arrested and his public identity is revealed there is a small scene about his landlady lying to the press, telling them he came on to her several times, or something along those lines.

Clarifying, the idea of changing her lies in an actual romantic subplot was from the movie (the never-made 1989's movie, I think). I only used it to make a point because it was the dumbest example I could remember of.

What really worries me about this adaptation is the possibility of shoehorned romantic plots.

Hollywood never saw a story in which they couldn't try to force a shitty romance on. The adaptation of Watchmen included discussions about a romantic plot between Rorschach and his landlady.

The end of the school year is nearing. I wonder if characters will be shuffled between the classes and this arc is a device to introduce them.

Also, it would be really ironic if Monoma ends up moving to Class 2-A.

Nah, apparently it will be a normal episode.

How I understand it, they are trying to keep all of the Interniship Arc in Season 4 by killing time in Season 3 with fillers and padding (recaps, unnecessary flashbacks, etc.)

They just used one of those inevitable filler episodes to promote the movie during a charity event.

For some reason next week anime episode is original stuff that doesn´t have any relation with the current arc, it´s a little weird since up until now Mha´s fillers were used to give screentime to other characters without messing up with the story timeline.

The reason is a Japanese annual 24 hours-long charity event called "Love Saves the World". BNHA will have a special episode that ties-in with the event, but other shows will just have no episodes at all and continue in two weeks.

How greatly improve today's episode:

• Add a 3s static frame with a bunch of tied-up students from other schools
• Add a dialogue line with IQ girl saying something like "Four more people and we are ready to go. How luck they just walked into our base of operations"

There. That simple measure eliminates at least 10 different plot holes.

It looks like the movie introduced the perfect hook for a timeskip:

The thing about this kind of pool is that it asks "Who's your favorite character?" instead "How do you rate the different characters?"

Even if people had Stain or Mina like their second or third choices, that will not show up in the results.

Just a reminder: Gentle's plan - whatever it was - involved him sneaking in undetected, doing something, and then leaving, still undetected. The implication being something like…leaving a message that people would find later. Like "Mwahaha Gentle Criminal was here! You need better security, suckers." The goal was explicitly NOT to hurt anyone or even disrupt the festival.

I think his plan amounted to:

Step 1: Drink tea
Step 2: Invade U.A.
Step 4: FAME!!!

I don't think he had any actual idea about what he would do once inside.

I for one think we may have witnessed the origin of the supervillain La Brava. I can't help but think that Gentle's thoughts on Page 14 weren't just for show–I think he'll be proven prescient when La Brava comes back into the story down the road as a real nasty villain to deal with.

Watching her ineffectually bop Deku on the arm and stomp her feet (Viz soundeffects translation) was heartbreaking, though. The most she could do against Izuku's insurmountable super strength was throw all of her rage and desperation at him--and it resulted in a tiny tantrum that he probably couldn't even feel :'-(

Yeah. I said it before, but I think she will join the League of Villains in exchange for their help to free Gentle. And with her hacking skills she will help them to breach Tartarus.

Prediction:

• Gentle gets arrested
• La Brava manages to escape
• La Brava joins the League of Villains to free Gentle
• La Brava uses her hacking skills and helps the League to break in Tartarus

If nothing else, it's interesting that Hori is continuing with 'usually heroic things, but instead villains are doing them'. In the last arc, we had the villains using the power of friendship and teamwork. Here, the villain is literally being given a boost by the power of love.

What's more, Deku is fighting that with the power of his middle finger.

It still basically is. The characters are all direct reeeeeeally obvious proxies.

Only on the surface. Lauren Faust said the personality of MLP characters was an important visual element of fighting moves in Fighting is Magic, so she decided to use similar archetypes for the new characters instead just reformulating the visual identity from scratch.

The descriptions at IndieGoGo were kind of superficial but The Book of Lore and the workstreams helped to better clarify the differences between characters from MLP and TFH. Tianhuo in particular barely resembles Rainbow Dash at all. And when the game is out the differences will become even more apparent with the voice acting and the Story Mode. The DLC characters will not even to be proxies of specific MLP characters.

In short, people who buys the game hoping purely for MLP with serial numbers filed off will probably be disappointed.

EDIT: The list of voice actors is now out. Tara Strong will voice Arizona (the character who substituted Applejack).

Them's Fightin' Herds (a.k.a. the improved reformulation of the canceled fangame MLP: Fighting Is Magic) will be finally lauching February 22nd.

! My theory is that Drake Mallard (Darkwing Duck) will be Scrooge's cousin in this version. Also, it sounds like at first he will be a more mysterious and ambiguous figure, like the urban legend version of Batman.

It looks like the anime will take a big jump from manga Chapter 53 to Chapter 62. I think they may be trying to fit the ending of school trip arc with the ending of first half of Season 1, but maybe they are just skipping it altogether.

With today's episode, the series finally has spent more episodes during the alicorn Twilight phase than during the unicorn Twilight phase.

No way this episode's theme was a coincidence.

I wonder why the anime switched those epic kanji pictures from Mob's explosions to Reigen's special attacks. Maybe they thought they were too camp?

Saiki anime's profile on Funimation says this season will have 24 episodes and 85 specials. Since an episode is made up of 5 specials, 85 specials would mean only 17 episodes. So maybe there will be 7 odd episodes unconnected to the specials. Or maybe some episodes will expand over the content of the specials instead just copy them, resulting in less specials for episode. An another thought: If the format "5 specials = 1 episode" is used only in the first half of season (12 episodes), the second half would have a format of "2 specials = 1 episode" with 10 minute specials, but that would result in 84 specials instead 85.

Yep, I really liked the anime adaptation. I also don't really dislike the fact they are cutting some jokes from manga. People who start reading the manga because the anime may keep reading for extra content. In other news, the ending theme got stuck in my head.

One Punch Man:
Many studios are trying to get the license for this and make a Live Action movie happen. This is one of the hottest brands right now more than we realize. People like Fox and WB are acting like One Punch Man can compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If that happens, I have some predictions:

• Instead a parody, it will be a straight, free-of-irony superhero blockbuster.
• The original comedy will be replaced by one liners and memes attempts.
• There will be some "serious" explanation about why people are becoming into monsters or gaining powers. Probably alien interference (Boros).
• Genos will be the actual main character. Saitama will be the useless comic relief character who never accomplishes anything and just lucks out (at least until the climax).
• Romantic subplot. Possibly a love triangle between Fubuki, Genos and Saitama.
• Saitama will not destroy enemies with a single punch. "One Punch Man" will be an ironic nickname that bullies in high school gave to him because he had glass jaw. Alternatively, Saitama will awaken his one-punch-kill only in the climax of the movie after regaining his self-confidence, overcoming his fears, discovering the power of love, learning the true meaning of Christmas or doing whatever the moral lesson is.

Between "Newbie Dash" and "Flutter Brutter", it looks like Dave Rapp is writing episodes with moral lessons geared more towards Bronies than children. It's kind of hilarious.

Overall I approve of the changes, but I think Turnabout Samurai had some very important info omissions to the plot of the game:

! - Dee Vasquez ties to the mob;

• The reason she destroyed Hammer's career as a serious actor (revenge because the dude that Hammer killed was her lover);
• The fact that Pink Princess is Will Powers.

! The problem is the nickname. I get where the writers are coming from, and the resolution was alright. The trouble is that degrading nicknames can work two ways: some people are capable of moving on or even transforming it into something new, while others would be destroyed. Same thing with how some people can take insults while others can't, or how some groups are capable of making fun of each other respectably while others completely fail and end up bullying each other. Rainbow is the kind of pony who can take it, but it still hurt seeing her not tell Spitfire that of all names, C_rash_ might be the worst.

Lauren Faust looks really happy about working with complete creative freedom (a.k.a. no network executives vetoing stuff, no toymakers grafting merchandise…). She talked about how she wants to include darker and morally ambiguous themes that would never be allowed in a children cartoon.

They also mention long-term plans for expanding the setting if this first game is successful. Ideas include games in other genres (TFH itself will have RPG elements in the Story Mode) and branch out into other media (comicbooks are the main focus).

It may be the start of an entire new franchise, like a non-girly, action-oriented version of MLP:FIM.

Looks cute but I thought it'd be further along after 2 years.

Most of that time was spent with legal stuff. They needed to open a company for the crowdfunding, but since not all of them are American citizens that was more difficult than predicted. There was a lot of trademark checking too to prevent another C&D or even litigations. Even the very title of the game was approved only two months ago.

In the meantime they learned to use the new engine and created the neccessary development tools (in their spare time, pooling their own money), but the actual development barely started at all. They need know what their budget is before even beginning (and need the actual money to actually start).

Screw Power of Friendship. Saitama has the Power of Acquaintanceship.

And even if it WAS the team for the show working on it… that would only mean they'd be eating into the production of the show by putting the talent elsewhere for a year and would not necessarily be a good thing... (as has happened to other animated series that pause production to do a film) and could even indicate the series being over at that point. Look at how the season 3 quality and output dropped when they had to allot resources to Equestria Girls, for instance.

It was announced some time back that they will have a bunch of new writers for the Season 5. I suppose they are being more careful this time around.
