Luffy: "I didn't sense them at all." or "They didn't give off any presence."This I think is very important. The Guardians have a skill that conceals their presence from CoO. This will probably help sneaking into Wano when the time comes. This type of hiding one's presence reminds me of ninjutsu.

The Color Walk connecting with Super Sentai is interesting. Lion, Eagle, and Shark. Maybe it links to future villians…one of them could be King(Lion?) under Kaido and another is for the CP-0 Leader (Eagle is my guess).Or perhaps the lion is a misdirection if it truly connects to the Super Sentai you are referring?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiyo_Sentai_Sun_Vulcan! Sun Vulcan is the name of the Guardians of World Peace's Taiyo Sentai, they are the first and only Super Sentai core team to be all-male.

Cracker facing his biggest foe ever, Luffy stomach.:ninja:
Incoming Gear 5th - Digestion Man
Luffy will use Gear 2 either on his stomach or whole body. It will speed his digestion and metabolism. It may even be like an instant heal Luffy 100%. And Cracker is losing his breath and doesn't like pain…so he says. He could be still being deceptive. But probably not.
Cracker's Biscuits(sounds funny) have no chance. No one with food powers can beat Luffy.
There definitely needs to be the as of now dream scenario eating contest at the Tea Party or after.
Contestants- Luffy
- Big Mom
- Jewelry Bonney
- Wapol
And whoever else that can eat a lot.

RE: Chapter 841: To the East Blue
According to the anime Jack is Kaido's right hand man(if the subs are anything or the anime at all to go by). King and Queen had been seen in Oda's notes about Kaido or Wano.
supposedly the 3 calamities are The right hand of Kaido
If the 3 Calamities are Kaido's right hand men, then I hope there is an equivalent group that is his left hand men.

RE: Chapter 841: To the East Blue
Anyone excited to see a flashback of some of the Red Leg training that Sanji received from Zeff? Like I wonder how Sanji approached Zeff about being stronger, not being a liability on the ocean and so on? Sanji and Zeff immediately shared the dream of All Blue and already had it established that they both enjoyed cooking but how did the topic of fighting come about? Did Sanji divulge any of his past to Zeff or did it just come up a little more organically when the Baratie received its first attack from pirates?
Oh thats a good point as well. All genes activate and Sanji is as heartless as his brothers.
I'm going with the 1st pirate attack of the restaurant. Sanji will see how awesome Zeff is and ask for training.
What Judge told Sanji as a child could allude to what type of hellish training Sanji went through in Zeff's training him.

Hundreds, thousands, or maybe even beyond that harder. :blink:@Al!naJames:

I'm late noticing this, but Sanji hasn't been wearing his handcuffs this entire day. I guess they took them off due to the Zeff threat. But they didn't mention it and it's sort of too convenient.
Anyway, just making a list of possible Luffy allies this arc (emphasis on possible, not all are certain):
Luffy
Nami
Chopper

Carrot

Pound
Jinbe (maybe his allies too)
Pekoms

RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
At least we see Zoro and Luffy getting wrapped up in bandages, and we see chopper yelling at Zoro not to take them off. The few instances we have seen bandage on Sanji was electrocution from Eneru and the slash from Mingo. This is the same guy that got his bones broken by Gin, Pearl, Mr 2 and lately Vergo.
Sigh! I'm talking about recovery time. Other SHs, get treated for it. I'm still waiting for the bandages on Sanji after getting his BONES broken by Pearl & Gin, Mr2 back in Alabasta and Vergo.
Gin and Pearl: No doctor around
Mr. 2: Sanji was wrapped in bandages
Vergo: Sanji didn't tell anyone he was injuredIt's looking like he is leaning towards already being superhuman. Maybe like Jajji said that Sanji just will have to work much harder than his siblings to "activate" his genes…but Jajji was impatient. Perhaps when Sanji defeats his family as a "normal human" that his latent genes will activate. That way he overcomes his family being a normal human maintaining that theme, then power ups sometime after the fights, probably while he is healing, before the Wano arc.
Maybe Oda will use a liquid filled chamber on Sanji similar to Goku before fighting Freeza. Homage while powerup.
*Sanji also hurt his leg while kicking Kuma on Thriller Bark. Not sure if broken but it looked painful. Makes sense comparing that situation to him with Vergo about hard as metal/steel theme that Sanji will surely overcome....be it haki, his genes, or both.

http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Epoida
Yea, there was this guy, but that was like one panel in the manga. I wouldn't mind seeing more insect zoans.
Also I am not opposed to the notion that all three calamities might have Ancient Zoans, and then Kaidou a mythical one.
Whoa! Thanks! Epoida I never knew.
I could see that as well. I've seen Kaidou speculated to be Dragon, Ogre, and Behemoth which are all mythical.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Sang:
Definitely possible, but I don't think they necessarily have to.
I would be perfectly fine if they have 'just' regular zoans.We shall see. Any other famous "king animals"? Ape? Dinosaur(T-Rex, mythical, Super Sentai)? Bear? Sabretooth tiger(mythical, Super Sentai)?
My guess for Queen would be queen bee or queen ant zoan especially if King is a regular lion zoan. Those I believe are the most famous "queens among animals".
We haven't really focused on insect zoan yet. We know there is a spider zoan so it's probable that insect zoan exists as well.

Jack has an Ancient Zoan fruit. I expect the other 2 to be Ancient or Mythical.

RE: Official Totland Thread
My speculative match up prediction:
Ichiji vs Sanji; Sparking Red is probably fire. Battle of strongest brother.
Niji vs Pedro; Lightning vs Electro. Stealth. Hair over same eye.
Yonji vs Pekoms; Yonji kicked a turtle. Pekoms DF power is a turtle. Turtle Wrench?
This would be a way the Minkmen pay back Sanji for helping them on Zou

RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
@Monkey:
We saw the exact moment Sanji learned about All Blue five billion chapters ago. It was the chefs he was was working with on the vacation ship that Zeff attacked.
actually,no.it was sanji who mentioned All Blue to the chefs and they responded back that it was a fantasy
edit:and while i don't think we have proof that vergo ist he source of the clones,but ranking in marines doesn't necessarily depend on strength.he had just joined the nave,they aren't gonna know the extent of his strength and even if they did know,he wasn't gonna get insta-promoted to Vice-Admiral.especially when that would draw attention to him
I'm sorry to say this, but if my memory serves me right, this was actually just a scene added on episode 51 which is filler.
The information about who told Sanji about All Blue is not expanded upon in the manga thus far, anyone is free to correct me.Thanks for clarifying if Sanji MAY have known about All Blue before him being on the Orbit.
So Sanji learned cooking from his mother first is a possibility?
-
RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
That right now. 13-10 years ago he was just a simple soldier in the Marines. And at that time Germa 66 already had those vergo similar kind of soldiers(that honestly I don't see them that similar, and they had already appeared before the last chapter where everybody started calling it Vergo).
True the Vergo hype is from last chapter. And they could have got THIS batch of "Vergo" clones 5 years ago where Vergo WASN'T a simple soldier like 10-13 years ago. The other Germa soldiers in the past don't have to be Vergo clones….just the ones CURRENTLY in the tubes.
But Vergo has been an ELITE OFFICER under Doflamingo for decades.
-
RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
And also, why didn't Sanji recognize him!?
Sanji only recognizes the ladies. :wub:
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
vergo has never been an elite soldier..what are you talking about?
Vergo was an elite Marine soldier. Former commander of G-5.
-
RE: Chapter 840: "Iron Mask"
So Sanji's mother was a chef/cook…nice. She may even be the one who told Sanji about All Blue. The importance of food in Sanji's life is even more prominent with him being denied food.
So Vergo is looking more and more like one of the few elite soldiers DNA that was used. But when did they get Vergo's DNA? And what other characters may have had their DNA used for cloning besides Kuma?
It would be interesting if Ceasar Clown and Jajji Vinsmoke have history.

RE: Chapter 839: "I Shall Never Forget The Debt That I Owe You"
Anybody think that Wano may be postponed by Weevil? I feel like throwing Weevil into Wano will just make another Dressrosa (too many plot lines). I think it would be better if in transit to Wano Weevil shows up or something. Maybe Marco will wreck him or something but I don't really expect him to show up in Wano and since we have no clue what it happening after Wano ntm Marco is an important point in the Alliances plan then he should show up before or during Wano.
I feel like it would be a waste to have Marco fight Weevil on Wano when he could be helping the SH but I guess it would give more screen time to the SH….
@Tamiel:
Weevil could show up after the Wano conflict. Though, I do not think it would be that impactful after defeating Kaidou. Also at one point or another Weevil and BB will collide. Unless the whole scene where he swore revenge on him was just for added character depth, and not a foreshadowing of sorts.
I wonder what Weevil would be doing if he did not have his 'mom' directing him. Maybe he is actually a good dude but due to his 'moms' influence he is doing 'bad' things. If he isn't in fact WB son and Marco is able to prove it or something then maybe he will join someone somewhere. Idk maybe it will just be straight up your blocking my so you get wrecked but I think it would be interesting to have him either join a crew of the fleet or somehow help the SH.
Like I said though his plot line should be dealt with before or during Wano but I would prefer before.
I think Weevil is being manipulated by his mother. He seems slow. He may be forgiven for attacking Whitebeard aligned pirates because of his ignorance.
I think Weevil will postpone Luffy reaching Wano. Luffy vs Weevil (Young Whitebeard strength) is a stepping stone. Luffy surpassing Whitebeard spiritually puts Luffy near/at Yonko level to be prepared to fight Kaido. Plus if Weevil joined the Strawhat Grand Fleet it would help even the odds against Kaido. Maybe the Whitebeard Pirates and Weevil acquisitions will complete the Gomu Gomu Grand Fleet of 5656 members word pun.
Marco arc should be a transition arc like Zou but maybe longer to include flashbacks, exposition, and fights.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@S.C.:
Well, it's not really an axe, per se, but there is a weapon called the Bec de Corbin, that's used sort of like an axe.
Maybe the other poleaxe, bec de faucon (meaning "falcon's beak"), could fit as well. But not sure that sounds like a weapon Luffy would say.
Elephant goad or bullhook was used in the handling and training of elephants. Could perhaps use it on Jack. But elephant is Gear 3 not 4. :blink: And that requires Jack to show up on the Vinsmoke's "country of ships" which is just as of now improbable.
Meh. Oh well. Thanks for the feedback.

Has Gambia's spots on his arm ever been discussed? Especially why they look similar to Sheepshead who is a Smile fruit user.
!
Is it possible Gambia ate an artificial Devil Fruit? He was in Dressrosa which had the SMILE factory. Maybe he doesn't even realize he ate an artificial fruit. Barto Club members may lack sensible awareness. -
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
I've come to think that Luffy is going to absolutely total Germa 66. Not just the troops, not just the Vinsmokes, but the actual ship-based country itself.
He's going to total it in the belief he can free Sanji by taking away the prize Big Mom is after.
It's simple minded enough to fit Luffy's line of thinking and it creates further parallel with the Baratie arc as Luffy introduced the Gum-Gum Battle-ax attempting the same thing to stop Krieg.
Then Don Krieg and Gin need to show back up like people are speculating so they can relive Luffy's awesomeness again. I like it.
Now the question is, what would the battle axe be called in Gear 4 mode?
Probable Format: Gum-Gum-Animal_Weapon_NameAnyone know any axes with animal themes?
-
RE: Chapter 839: "I Shall Never Forget The Debt That I Owe You"
I believe this translation is correct, well it's the VIZ translation word for word anyway. I hope we get some more insight on who Zeff used to cook for, I always had assumed he was his own captain. I suppose he cooked for a famous pirate and eventually started his own thing.
At that time VIZ translation wasn't that good. I don't have any idea if this specific translation is right or not, but I believe is wrong(this one) and what Sanji said was that Zeff was a famous Pirate-Cook. Not that he cooked for someone famous. We know very well, that Zeff was a Captain of a Cooking-Pirate Crew, that went and came back from the Grand Line.
One big indication of the possible bad translation is the fact that Sanji says that Zeff used to cook for a famous pirate and Luffy noticing and asking for Zeff being a pirate. It can be that Luffy automatically got the implication that Zeff traveled on board of that "famous pirate" Ship and was in fact a member of his crew while cooking for him. But …
In the raw volume, 名のある海賊団のコック can be interpreted in 2 different ways.[hide][qimg]http://i.imgur.com/fIULkMi.jpg[/qimg] [/hide]- Zeff was a famous Pirate-Cook.
- Zeff cooked for someone (pirates) famous.
Even Japanese native speakers can't tell which is correct just by looking at this word.
But as Bigivel says, considering the fact that Zeff was a Captain of a Cooking-Pirate Crew, I'm sure the former translation is correct.Thanks to each one of you for helping with the clarification. Much appreciated.
-
RE: Chapter 839: "I Shall Never Forget The Debt That I Owe You"
Since the subject is Zeff, what pirate did he used to cook for, if this translation is correct?
! Perhaps Zeff, before he set sail as a pirate, cooked for Whitebeard, Shiki, or even Roger.
And that brings up another question: Has a cook been confirmed to be in Roger's crew?

RE: Chapter 839: "I Shall Never Forget The Debt That I Owe You"
@Mr.:
The Zeff threat just makes matters worse for Sanji. Even if Sanji frees himself of his shackles, he still can't defy The Judge because it would mean the end of Zeff.
This leads me to believe that we will likely see the Big Mom Pirates turn against Germa at some point, which will entirely free Sanji from their threats. Because the chapter strongly suggests that the Big Mom Pirates will be the assassins operating on Germa's behalf.
Now the whole business with the clones (cyborgs?) raises a few questions. Are they alive? Will they require Big Mom's DF power to give life to an otherwise lifeless puppet? Probably the former because otherwise there would be no point in keeping them in those vats.
Lastly, the last one's resemblance to Vergo seems too much of a coincidence, yet at this point could very well be. Or at least a troll. Because Vergo being some sort of ex-Germa bred soldier raises quite a few questions in its own right that aren't easy to answer.
Didn't we see Vergo as a 10 year old with Doflamingo? I didn't see any babies or kids in those liquid chambers. Maybe we'll get better views next chapters.
A possible scenario would be they are cloning current Vergo meaning Vergo (and Monet?) escaped Punk Hazard and were rescued/captured by Big Mom/Vinsmoke family.

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
I'm glad people are debating it. Much appreciated.
@S.C.:
So your logic here is 1. Gaban is named after a type of metal. 2. Some random footnote in history has a statue of him in Japan. 3. OBVIOUSLY, he's a non-Wano samurai now!
This theory stretches more then Luffy does, dude.
Yes the theory is a stretch. I can concede that. But that isn't my logic. I recently saw the Scopper bronze statue connection. Then I thought about if there were other named Roger Pirates the Strawhats hadn't seen. Only Scopper Gaban. Gol D Roger and Oden Kozuki are as far as we know dead.
Okay. So then the question is WHEN will we see Scopper Gaban?! Well what IF the Strawhats meet him at Wano? They may not but I'm ASSUMING Wano is a big enough event to add one more person in who will turn up in Wano speculation list with Green Bull, Tashigi, CP-0, etc…
Hmmm....maybe after his voyage of One Piece with the Roger Pirates he chose to live in Wano for his twilight years. Or he traveled 1st before settling in. Or something entirely else.
Bronze statue is mainly copper is an observation. It could be just a coincidence. Or it may hold some value. It is just something to ponder...I'm presenting a fact.
Since William Adams was an accepted foreigner with POTENTIAL parallels to Scopper having history with Wano in his Roger Pirates days. It just so happens William Adams has a bronze statue in Japan. Compared the two closer and both could be navigators. Just some thoughts.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@John:
But Luffy already has a bronze statue. you know, Lucy in Dressrossa…..
And the mysterious guy talking with Crocus is probably Oden Kouzuki. Even though it's unlikely considering the travel from there to there and all the time things.
Just, don't think Roger had two samurais in his crew.dumb theory: 1/ Also, Oden wanted to open the borders of his country. Oda is probably implying something for the refugee crisis in Europe….
2/ He obviously already talked about Nice when he released this http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/833/4
Exactly a week after the terrorist attack in Nice… the message is probably that Oda enjoyed the attack !!!!
But I personally think that he did it HIMSELF !!! Because science proves that that yo can't draw such artwork in less than a week.
Do you believe in coincidence ? I don't :ninja:Luffy wants the bronze statue ON HIS SHIP. That was why I referenced chapter 302.
Isn't Oden dead as far as we know….being boiled alive and all? I remember reading some "theory" that he faked his death using Kanjuro's drawings but that requires tricking Kaido and the Shogun.
@The Franky Tank
I know how certain things work on this site. Critical eyes are everywhere. I've debated plenty of people here. Opposing thoughts are natural. I understand people, including myself, can and will be wrong. Disagreeing with me is not the problem. Pointing out flaws with my logic or presentation is not the problem. HOW you communicate with me can be a problem.And of course it's petty. But I'm only returning the favor. He does the same thing to others (Perona supporters). You've been here long enough to know when you're having a genuine debate and when someone is mixing their opinion with rude insults.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@S.C.:
Bearious, I'm not trying to be mean when I say this, but I literally have no clue how any of this theory is supposed to connect together and make any lick of sense. It feels like a few random ideas were put together and connected like how the 60's Batman made his Bat-deductions.
And Batman was right.
But seriously, that's fine if you don't understand. It was not straightforward. I've now explained my reasoning when it was stated my post was not understood. It's a theory that doesn't deserve it's own thread. It isn't met to be taken so serious. Sheesh.- Oda made a precious metal theme with 3 of Roger's crew. Copper is Scopper's theme.
- Copper is the primary element in bronze. Luffy wants a bronze statue. Scopper may have a relationship with how Luffy obtains a bronze statue.
- People have speculated Scopper Gabon as the mystery guy with Crocus. Who else could it be? Whoever it is may be in Wano
- William Adams MAY have parallels with Scopper Gabon. It just so happens, Adams has a bronze statue in Japan.
Rough Time line of meeting Roger Pirates
Shanks: Beginning of story, before Luffy's adventure, East Blue
Buggy: After recruitment of Zoro, met Nami, East Blue
Crocus: Beginning of Grand Line, met Laboon, First Half Grand Line
Silvers Rayleigh: Before entrance to New World, First Half Grand Line
Inu and Neko: After defeat of Doflamingo, before Wano, New World
Scopper Gabon: ????, New WorldThere are no other named Roger Pirate. ALL Roger Pirates have had a major interaction with the Strawhats. So Scopper Gabon should fall in line as well. Wano is an important arc that is bound to show old and new characters.
You don't have to understand or agree with HOW I came up with "theory" or how I displayed. It isn't deep. I used what was given so far. Scopper will show up and impact the Strawhats similar to the other Roger Pirates. Wano seems like a good time before a Yonko is taken down.
@Monkey King
So you're still skirting the questions. Good grief. You can type whatever reasons why you WON'T answer….use that energy to instead think of an answer. You downplay the theory yet provide NO counter to when Scopper will come to the story because you can't.
And don't talk about interpreting fiction as if you are untouchable. You didn't think Jinbe, JINBE, was going to join so.....yeah....your perspective is taken with a mound of salt...:getlost: -

The jokes weren't funny. I didn't need them to understand your posts.
I also stated for you to give an educated guess if you didn't know the answer. Which you don't know. So then guess…you're making this too difficult on yourself.
And you so graciously avoided 3 of the 4 questions. Just speculate. I just want to know how you would approach figuring it out.
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@Monkey King
…..so making joke references to black guys in different areas, Hello Lucy, a penny....this is what you came up with to get your point across? And you think YOU have a reason to harp? :wassat:Why did you avoid answering some of my questions? You took the time to answer and joke but no direct counter. We can't have a discussion or debate if you skirt around topics.
Forget my theory for a second. Just state what you think. If you don't know, give an educated guess.
- When will Scopper Gabon be introduced in the story?
- What was Scopper Gabon's' role on the Oro Jackson?
- What does the statue look like that Luffy envisioned at chapter 302 look like to you? How would you describe it's attire?
- Who is the person with Crocus in on the cover of chapter 631?
-
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
Some questions need to be ask first so I know where others stand for less confusing conversations.
When do you think Scopper Gaban will be introduced in the story to the Strawhats, if ever? The Strawhats met most of the main former Roger Pirates besides him. Only makes sense they meet him somewhere and Wano seems like an opportune time.
Who do you think the person talking to Crocus in the cover story is? Someone who knows Crocus…Scopper knows Crocus! Why hide the person from the viewer....because the reader has not seen the person in present time yet...hmmmm...the reader hasn't seen Scopper in present time. The hair type and length match Scopper. Hair being white matches being aged like the other Roger Pirates.
What was Scopper Gaban's role on Roger's crew? I listed multiple open positions. One of the most important, navigator, has yet to be stated on Roger's crew. William Adams is also a navigator. Gol, Silvers, Scopper positions parallel Luffy, Zoro, Nami. Not bullet proof but a POSSIBLE connection.
Do you think a future crewmate will relate to the bronze statue Luffy wants? Luffy still doesn't have his bronze statue. Lucy, God Usopp, and Kyros got bronze statues at Dressrosa but not on the Thousand Sunny to keep. So Luffy will still want a bronze statue on his ship. It just so happens that 3 members of Roger's crew share a precious metal theme with their names. It also just so happens copper is Scopper's theme and bronze is mostly consisted of copper. So MAYBE Scopper will have a connection to the bronze statue since NEITHER have been given a big platform in the story yet. By the way, doesn't that bronze statue Luffy envisioned leaving Skypiea look like a feline?
I never stated this One Piece theory was concrete or absolutely true. I wanted to discuss if Scopper Gaban had any connections to William Adams. The topics I brought up did not all originate from me....I just made my own deductions for some connections.
Dog and Cat didn't mention Scopper because no one from the Strawhats brought him up. I don't recall Buggy being brought up. Mainly Roger, Shanks, and Crocus. Roger has members that we don't even know their names. Anyways, point is Dog and Cat may not even know where Scopper Gaban is located. Him being in Wano for how ever long could be a surprise to them as well. Scopper may be the link to starting a flashback where we see young Inuarashi and Nekomamushi.
And Jinbe and Zoro show that Japanese attire doesn't NECCESARILY mean a Wano connection I agree, BUT just because they and others have on Japanese attire does not change the fact that 5 people and counting: Momo, Kin'emon, Kanjuro, Raizo, and Ryuuma (who Zoro may be a descendant from) are from Wano and have Japanese attire. The assumption when seeing traditional Japanese attire in One Piece is to question if said person is from Wano or has Wano connections. A good example is Fujitora, a powerful swordsman. He may or may not have ties to Wano. The POSSIBILITY exists until PROVEN otherwise.
@Monkey King
It seems your main gripe is that William Adams isn't in the same timeline as the late Tokugawa Shogunate era I believe. Well...Scopper Gaban could represent William Adams early Tokugawa Shogunate era in the PAST Wano time frame BEFORE Kaido takes over. There was what...20+ years for Scopper to chill somewhere. The late Tokugawa Shogunate era could be represented by the present with Momonosuke eventually becoming the new Shogun. -
RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
Okay…my logic wasn't followed. No problem. I'll try to explain it better.
I'm stating some thoughts that may connect to Scopper Gaban.
-
I'm connecting Scopper to the bronze statue because bronze is mainly made out of copper. Simple.
-
William Adams has a bronze statue in Japan. William Adams was a foreigner turn samurai. William Adams in a famous book representation of himself saw a man get boiled. Scopper Gaban may draw on similar parallels: statue in Wano, accepted foreigner in Wano, may have saw Oden get boiled.
-
It has been speculated that the person who visited Crocus in chapter 631 cover story is Scopper Gaban. That mystery person has Japanese attire.
-
We know the positions of the other Roger Pirates. We are missing some positions: navigator, helmsman, musician, sniper, etc… But we know you NEED a navigator on a ship, especially in the New World. William Adams was a navigator and boat pilot. And this is where the Gol, Silvers, and Scopper crew's role comparison to Luffy, Zoro, and Nami.
@Monkey King
You are confused and mis-remembering things I stated earlier. And to clarify, I don't think Scopper Gaban was from or recruited at Wano. I think he just lives there currently.Why are you limiting Wano's time period to only ONE? Do you think Wano can't/won't have other Japanese periods of time mixed together?

RE: Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
@John:
So you're saying Oden Kozuki and Scopper Gaban are the same person ?
No. Where did you get that?
Oden was boiled alive. Scopper Gaban might have been in Wano when it happened. Scopper has ties to Kozuki Clan being in Roger's crew.
Blackthorne, a character in Shogun based on William Adams, and crew get trapped. One of his crew members gets boiled alive.

Scopper Gaban:
- Bronze statue connection
! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze
Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of copper, commonly with about 12% tin and often with the addition of other metals (such as aluminium, manganese, nickel or zinc) and sometimes non-metals or metalloids such as arsenic, phosphorus or silicon.
! An example of Luffy mentioning a bronze statue.
! This a bronze statue of William Adams in Ito, Japan.
! So perhaps Scopper has a connection to a future Strawhat crewmate.- Possible William Adams parallels
! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Adams_(sailor)
William Adams (24 September 1564 – 16 May 1620), known in Japanese as Miura Anjin (三浦按針: "the pilot of Miura"), was an English navigator who in 1600 was the first of his nation to reach Japan. One of a few survivors of the only Dutch East India Company ship to reach Japan from a five-ship expedition of 1598, Adams settled there and became the first ever (and one of the very few) Western Samurai.
! Soon after Adams' arrival in Japan, he became a key advisor to the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu.
! Numerous novels were based on his life, beginning in the 19th century. He was the model for the character of John Blackthorne in James Clavell's best-selling novel Shōgun (1975), which was adapted as a 1980 TV mini-series, a 1989 computer game, and 1990 Broadway musical.
! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shōgun_(novel)
Omi throws them into a pit to "tame" them, and tells them Lord Yabu has ordered that they pick one amongst them (other than Blackthorne) to die, so that the others may live. Blackthorne leads his crew in a futile resistance, but they are easily cowed by Omi. One of them is taken and is boiled alive, to satisfy Lord Yabu, who cruelly enjoys such spectacles.- Role on Roger's crew
! Gol D Roger: Captain
Silvers Rayleigh: First Mate
Scopper Gaban: Navigator, Pilot
Crocus: Doctor
Tom: Shipwright who built Oro Jackson
Shanks: Cabin Boy
Buggy: Cabin Boy
Oden Kozuki: Stonemason
Inuarashi: Retainer/Cabin Boy
Nekomamushi: Retainer/Cabin Boy
! Top 3 members of Roger's crew coincide with first 3 members of Strawhats in Luffy, Zoro, and Nami
! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maritime_pilot
A pilot, also referred to as "Marine Pilot" or "Maritime Pilot" is a mariner who manoeuvres ships through dangerous or congested waters, such as harbors or river mouths.
! Being a navigator and pilot may give Scopper the knowledge to travel the seas, maybe even the Calm Belt, by himself…like to visit his friend Crocus.
! We know Silvers Rayleigh can swim long distances, no problem. Scopper Gaban can probably do a similar impressive feat.
! I wonder the distance from Wano and Crocus….hmmm. -
RE: Chapter 838: "Bropper"
I really want to Sanji to beat the smug out his brothers.
And, there's a consensus if he was supposed to be the black or the yellow ranger?I hope Chopper's plan work in some fashion, even if don't know it yet. And I think Pedro lost his left eye to be out of Mom's crew, the guy just knows to much.

I would like to know about this consensus. His current epithet is Black Leg but what would be his family "ranger" name if he was yellow or black "ranger"? Leg Yellow? Nope, no Zeff. Bright Yellow? Sun Yellow? Cook Yellow? Sheep Black? etc… Maybe he'll choose one.
Didn't Pedro have his left eye before Jack and crew invaded?
Hard to see his eye prefight.

Left eye area is injured and bloody afterwards.
http://mangasee.co/manga/?series=OnePiece&chapter=810&index=1&page=17
He does know A LOT though. How long was he at Totland last time….hmmm. Can't wait to see how this unfolds.
@Newgate:I am just saying this cause till now and for almost all grand line the major villains were shishibikai, and now it's yonkou commanders and soon enough yonkous themselves, I perfectly agree on Mihawk though
Wouldn't Weevil/Weeble break the "Shichibukai" and "Yonko" power level comparisons? His strength is comparable to Whitebeard, a former Yonko, in Whitebeard's YOUTH! And I'm sure youth Whitebeard was stronger than old sick Whitebeard. So Weevil is both.
Yonkobukai: Blackbeard, Weevil, Mihawk
Maybe Moriah can make it to Yonkobukai if he gets or already got his shit together. -
RE: Chapter 838: "Bropper"
So why is Cracker's hair sparkling/on fire on the two bottom tips? Is that reference to something? reads comments…I see. Firecracker, huh? Here I was thinking Luffy would use a Gatling named firecracker but Cracker will use a firecracker theme himself. Snaps fingers close but no cigar.
It seems like for the Strawhats and company to escape they need to convince the Vinsmokes to break off the marriage somehow. I doubt Vinsmoke family will listen to words though.
Wild Guess if Vinsmoke fights Strawhats
Jajji vs Luffy (King vs Captain)
Reiju vs Chopper (Poison vs Doctor)
Ichiji vs Sanji (Spark Fire vs Devil Fire)
Niji vs Pedro (Electric vs Electro)
Yonji vs Nami (Winch vs Witch)Chopper and Nami are interchangeable. Brook, Carrot, and Jinbe are left out though. I wonder if the Vinsmoke family have strong commanders of their army worthy of being named?

RE: Chapter 838: "Bropper"
Pedro is the 4th Sweet Commander. He knows things.
If Pedro was the 4th Sweet Commander, that would put him at Yonko commander level…similar to Jack. Not sure about that. I would also think he be way more recognizable if he was a known commander. Only a Minkmen recognized him. The soldiers/homies that talked to Tamago had no clue who Pedro was. They thought he was a leopard mink.
