It's coming next month.
I remember watching a few episodes of the original series back when it aired on Fox Kids and liking it fine. Guess I'll be spending the next few days on Disney Plus.

Just finished the demo, and the scenes in the reactor are far creepier than in the original. And Sephiroth's slow descent into madness was genuinely unnerving.

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has passed away at age 96.
I saw Strange World today. It suffered from what I like to call Avatar Syndrome, when a movie has impressive visuals and a weak story. It's a shame, because I thought the pulp sci-fi setting was a lot of fun, but I didn't really care about any of the characters.
Disney's sci-fi movies, not counting Lilo & Stitch, haven't exactly been box office hits, as far as animated films go, anyway. But even then, I enjoyed Atlantis despite its flaws and I know it has a bit of a cult following. Treasure Planet is on my long backlog of movies.
They'll probably put more advertising into Wish, which I'm hoping will win me over.
My list of favorite movies is always changing. But I don't think I'd be able to name just 10. Instead, I'll do 10 live-action and 15 animated.
Live-Action:
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The original Star Wars trilogy
Airplane!
Dr. Strangelove or How I learned the Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
E.T: The Extraterrestrial
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
Groundhog Day
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Back to the Future
Castaway
Animated:
Bambi
The Fox and the Hound
Zootopia
The Secret of NIMH
My Neighbor Totoro
Princess Mononoke
Coco
The Incredibles
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Kung Fu Panda
Honorable mentions: Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, Fantasia, An American Tail, Toy Story 1 and 2
Here's a teaser for Zootopia +.
Zootopia was my favorite of the newer Disney movies. It looks pretty funny from what little they show.
I'm continuing my October tradition with another Stephen King audiobook. This year, I'm listening to Thinner. It has plenty of the stock characters you'd expect from King, but that's kind of why I like him. I don't think it'll rank high on my list along with The Talisman or Rose Madder, though.
Yeah. I'm gonna be staying away from these live action remakes. They're just not grabbing me. Maybe if Disney didn't play it safe and try making them a little more different from the originals I'd give them a chance. And it looks like we're not seeing the end of them anytime soon since they keep making money.
On a more positive note, I just starting watching The Owl House. I was immediately reminded of Discworld with the way it mocks and pays homage to fantasy tropes at the same time. While it doesn't have as many laughs as something like Gravity Falls, I still feel the same energy behind the writing. And on that note, King is definitely my favorite character. He kind of reminds me a bit of Chopper, with a bit of Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
I've been watching The Next Generation on and off for the last few years, and I agree that the first two seasons were the weakest. Though, there were still a handful of decent episodes from the second season: Pen Pals, Q Who, The Emissary, and of course, The Measure of a Man. And while I know he isn't exactly a fan favorite, I was surprised that I didn't hate Wesley. But I will say that he felt very out of place among the Enterprise's crew in those seasons, and it was annoying how so many episodes put him in the spotlight. I actually was less fond of Dr. Pulaski.
I'm playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. I didn't watch too many episodes of the '87 cartoon as a kid, so a lot of the references and easter eggs went over my head. But I remember playing the arcade game and loving it. This game is pretty fun, if not a little short, but it's one that I can always come back to. And the soundtrack is amazing.
I also picked up Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition again. I started playing it during the lockdown, but got a little distracted after going back to work.
